(I'm late to post about this but-- about Crash Team Rumble, so far it's looking pretty cool I guess. Looks like there's still some characters yet to be revealed later on. I was hoping for the Nitro Squad to be confirmed but who knows, there's always a possibility for them to be added later on. I'd be curious to see Ami in the IAT art style, too. And also just want her to be in the game at all, give her more action and stuff, I wanna see more of Ami xD )

Alrighty, so if I'm gonna be returning to this blog, I think I might be doing a soft reset on Ami here, save for some relationships I don't want to lose. Just so I can have an easier time coming back here.

Only thing I'm not sure about is the backstory to the formation of the (adoptive) relationship I have Ami in with my Gildas (from @giantpaintbrush) since that was based on a RP in a server I'm no longer in with someone I'm no longer friends with, it just feels kinda awkward. I'll have to figure out how to rework that when I update and revive this blog.

peeking in

well, it’s been a looooong time since I checked in here. It’s always encouraging to hear when old friends return to here as well. 

it’s also been a while since the incident that with someone that put me off from here for a long time. Still not sure about RPing since I lost my spark, but maybe I can re-kindle it? I’d have to do a lot of work though. But, I’ve been kind of in a slump in my life and I need to come back to some old things I’ve abandoned in order to pass the time. 

Still not entirely sure about coming back here 100% but I contemplate it every now and then…  Still miss my old Ami blog, my dragons, and my SU Gem OCs. (I remember I had meant to move them to a new sideblog attached to this blog before I went on this hiatus forever ago, but… eh. I dunno. I’ll have to think about that too.)

Looking back at my posts I’d originally planned to move blogs for a clean slate again, but ehh, I’m so lazy. Not even sure if I’d want to go to that trouble. But again just another thing I need to think about.

Hiatus

(Yeeup... I’m making it official now. This blog is now on indefinite hiatus until further notice. I’ve been a terrible mun and friend here, too demotivated, too much of a guilt tripper, just overall a bad RPer. My mental state has been too low for me to be able to be active here much. This year has really destroyed my mental state. So yeah... hiatus. I dunno when I’ll be back, could be a week, a month, or longer.  All RPs are on hold until I return, unless you’d like to continue in Discord, and in that case, feel free to contact me at BlueBird1994#3168, just make sure to let me know who you are so I don’t delete your friend request or ignore you, mistaking you for an unfamiliar rando or something.)

(This was supposed to be another post of Ami reminiscing on something in the past, the Spyro Grand Prix, but unfortunately, like the in-character memoir, I ran out of steam and couldn’t finish, and perhaps I’ll eventually finish this in the future as well. It’s very short...)

It was officially one full year since the Spyro Grand Prix took place, over in the Dragon Realms, and the memories were still strong in Ami’s mind. She recalled the curiosity and wonder of visiting a whole new world, one saturated in magic. It was also the home of her friend Crash’s purple, scaly, winged heroic buddy, Spyro, whom she had gotten the pleasure to officially meet personally. The track was certainly an interesting layout, spread across three different locations, linked by portals, and two segments had ice and tornado wizards endlessly firing their magic at each other.

The second female bandicoot experiment 

(before we start, this is an unfinished in-character memoir of Ami’s past, inspired by what @rxpper-roo posted a long time ago for Roo. Unfortunately I was never able to finish this since I ran out of steam on it. Maybe someday I’ll come back and finish it.)

For some reason, Ami had been tasked with writing a memoir of her past, how she came to be. From wild animal to humanoid. 

On her computer, she had a word document open, blank and ready to be filled. She drew in a breath and exhaled, this was not going to be easy...

I lived a simple life as a regular wild bandicoot, out in the Australian outback. Rest during the day, snug in my little grassy nest in the ground, and at dusk, I come out to forage for food. Rinse and repeat daily. Nothing special. 

However, one day, that all changed, and not exactly in a good way. What I didn’t know is that a certain human had found my nest, and had intentions to capture me. On that evening, when I emerged to forage for food as usual, he set up a trap. I soon found the most delicious looking pile of berries and bugs. It was like the best thing ever! That is, until I triggered the trap, and I was captured inside a cage. I made all sorts of distressed noises, frantically trying to escape, but it was all in vain. A human came over and took the cage with me inside and loaded it up in his vehicle, along with others he had captured. Little did I know at the time that was Dr. Neo Cortex, one of the baddest evil mad scientists in the world. 

The trip over was a blur, and eventually I was brought to his laboratory inside a towering castle. He threw me into another cage, a permanent one alongside others, a few which were already occupied. Inside another nearby, I could hear banging and howling. I was terrified half to death, was I going to be eaten? Killed? No, I was about to suffer a fate even worse...

This next part is painful to recall...

{Ami had taken a deep breath, preparing herself to bring up the worst moments of her past in captivity. “Well, here we go...” she gulped, and resumed typing.} 

It wasn’t long until I was taken out of my cage for the first time, which I tried to squirm and bite my way out of, but the evil scientist was wearing thick gloves. Again, a futile attempt. I was strapped down and restrained on a table, belly up, with a huge laser gun pointed at me. Another human, his assistant, known as Dr. N. Brio, stood by, awaiting his command.  “Activate the Evolvo-Ray!” Dr Cortex bellowed, and the green-clad scientist pulled a lever. The machine whirred to life, and energy crackled around the tip, shooting a blast of energy straight at me. And the next moment was... well, the worst pain one could ever endure in their entire lifetime. It felt like my entire body was on fire, my bones, tendons and muscles stretching and changing shape and rearranging and growing in size. I screamed out from the absolute agony of the process. It felt like an eternity, when it was probably only a few minutes. 

When it ended, I was stunned, dazed from the pain, I could only stare upwards at the ceiling, my body trembling, my ears ringing and any sounds around me very muffled. What’s more, my mind was suddenly given a huge boost. I could think in words... think! Like a human! But, before I could even begin contemplating things, a couple lab assistants approached, untying me and briskly setting me into a sitting position on the table, one handing me a set of simple scrubs to get dressed in. I got a view of my body... I looked very humanoid! And... green hair? I had a mop of it on my head for sure!  “Whoa! What the--?!” my first words I exclaimed out loud. Again, I was hurried to get dressed, and soon enough, shoved back inside my cage, which felt many times smaller.

Just did a huge purge of my following list. So many inactive/dead/abandoned blogs or non-mutuals that I know I never had a chance with. (might do another pass tomorrow or soon just to see if I decide on any more to eliminate.)

★ SLEEPING PATTERNS MEME.

Average hours of sleep: 5-7 hrs (depends on if her nocturnal ways don’t interfere, or she doesn’t get any PTSD nightmares) Type of bed: Single. Amount of blankets: 1-2, depends  Amount of pillows: 2 Type of clothing: she usually wears either soft shorts or long PJ bottoms, and either a T shirt or just an old, looser, un-padded sports bra. 

Do they sleep with company?: generally Ami sleeps alone, but she’s shared with her fellow squad in the past when necessary. 

Do they sleep with plushies?: Nowadays, yes, just one, and she usually keeps it hidden. 

Do they sleep better with company?: if it’s someone she’s close with, then yes. 

Does it matter where they sleep?: Ami can doze off in a lot of places but for sleeping at night she prefers her bed at the very least. 

Frequent dreams, nightmares?: Due to her traumatic past as a captive of Cortex, she’s susceptible to PTSD nightmares. 

What do they do if they cannot fall asleep?: Usually she tries to distract and relax herself with music, or go out on a late night walk, or if it’s really bad she seeks out comfort from her close friends like Megumi or Isabella those two she feels are best at comforting in those rough times. 

Deep slumber or naps?: If she doesn’t get much sleep one night, she’ll make it up with a nap in the daytime. She doesn’t get to get much deep sleep. 

When do they wake up?: could be either early morning or late morning, depending on how she sleeps in the night. 

When do they sleep?: she has night owl tendencies so usually is up as late as midnight to 1am or even 2am. 

What could wake them up?: if she’s tired/exhausted enough, she’ll be a deep sleeper and harder to wake up. But otherwise, a lighter sleeper.
