Canada is pretty cool so hereâs a bunch of phone shots of the same damn walkway over the same damn pond because it was just way too pretty. (em Greenwich, Prince Edward Island National Park)

[ swipe swipe swipe đđ» ] #NYC #newyork makes me happy but Iâm too tired to edit them on #acolorstory right now so hereâs a few of the vertical ones. Shout out to Mari who doesnât have Instagram so I canât tag her but sheâs been tolerating my idiotic sense of humour for 22 (almost 23) years and I love her for it (kind of). I love how I come here and never feel like a tourist because Iâm meeting friends 24/7. (em New York, New York)
âDad, come on, stop itâ - A Saga in Three Parts feat. đ€Ł (@anamargaridopena aka Mami) đ· @joaorpena (aka Papi aka Dad) -> shirt is from @stradivarius (has little hearts on it) -> amazing background is in @pergamonmuseum #Berlin one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring places Iâve ever visited (and Iâve been around)! How did these guys fit the Ishtar Gate of #Babylon and a whole two-floor temple in a room? (em Pergamonmuseum)
Finally left the house after 4 days lying on the floor with a bad back... and itâs the first day when the rain came back đ Missing the sun already, so hereâs a shot of the gorgeous and elegant @monthira_ivy đ while I try to sort my back enough to finish editing the band shoot đ (em Hove)
Lisa, for The Normal Girls project . Still have a lot of photos from the band shoot to edit, as well as Evaâs shoot, but thought Iâd throw in a very summery update. Yes, I edited this photo just because itâs sunny and warm outside and this mini-shoot we did yesterday was 100% all about the Summer vibes. It was incredibly fun to photograph two people who get along so well and have such a positive, friendly energy. Thank you girls! âš.âšNow back to editing the band shoot for the guys, Iâm so behind but I have been in so much pain I can barely function. (em Hove)
i learned things today on twitter dot com
[ đđ» s w i p e đđ»] I nterrupting my very pro-looking feed at the moment to commemorate the annual three days of British Summer. May the memories of vodka lemonade and cheesy chips on the beach and friends and stargazing keep us warm when the rain comes back. For now, though, fingers crossed itâll be like this when I come back in June. Brighton is a hell of a place to live. (em Brighton)
Today I fell platonically in love with @laudlaur who stole my camera and caught me trying on this amazing vintage coat at @tobewornagain that was sadly too big for me. (em Brighton)
I just got home and I still have to edit these throughout the week, but how amazingly photogenic is @allthingscooley? Had such an awesome day shooting with the guys. I donât usually have the opportunity to photograph men and these dudes are all so handsome, incredibly talented and wonderful people to be around. Thereâs a few more shots we want to get so there will be more shoots, and I still have to edit these but man, I couldnât resist, I love this shot! â€ïž (em Brighton)
#this beautiful glo up though (ââżââż)

Perfect magnets
Fun story: One of the first things I was taught as an astronomy student is that, if you want to be a dick to someone giving a presentation, ask them âand how do the magnetic fields play into this?â and they will invariably say âfuck you I donât knowâ because no one understands magnetic fields they are black magic.

Magnets are pure bullshit.
Pure utter bullshit. Electromagnetic forces somehow outstrip gravitic forces in strength by an obscene factor, for no reason I can comprehend and it bothers me.
One, that gif showing the Curie temperature is really cool.Â
Two, you donât understand, magnetic fields are the bane of my existance and I have a masters dissertation about them. I studied how magnetic fields develop in low mass stars and every single meeting with my supervisor ended in some conversation about how stupid magnetism is.
âOh yeah and this is effected by the magnetic field strengthâŠâ
âBut why?â
âGod knows, I donât have a clue.â
Was literally said to me by a professor who has spent 20 years of his life looking at magnetism in stars.
ALSO:
âDonât ask why, we donât know. Maybe magnetism? Who knows anything about magnetism.â - My Stellar Physics professor when asked about certain processes in stellar formation, something he has been studying for 10 years.
Like we know so little about that itâs actually funny.
The Many Subgenres of Science Fiction
Science fiction is any idea that occurs in the head and doesnât exist yet, but soon will, and will change everything for everybody, and nothing will ever be the same again. As soon as you have an idea that changes some small part of the world you are writing science fiction. It is always the art of the possible, never the impossible. ~ Ray Bradbury
