I will take what you say with a modicum of seriousness.

An argument from competence demands proof.

Consistency in principles is the easiest way for me to regard you argument with respect.

I am willing to change my principles, given suitable magnitude and depth of reasoning.

My kindness is underlined with the mutual understanding that where your words become action, and that action violates my principles, I will politely and firmly shoot you until you stop, or are stopped.

My principles are open to discussion, and inquest at any time.

One of the weird things about being as I am is that I apparently have a fairly wide-reaching reputation in spaces. These reputations often contradict.

The sheer fuckor of someon who knows me from xyz site/social app and seeing me in another context is, from what I've been told, profoundly confusing.

Not that I'm /fake/ in any of these things, but I try to make it so a facet of myself shines more brightly in whatever context.

A vanishingly small amount of people in any nation or society are responsible for a overwhelming majority of the problems in it.

In an ideally good and just society, they would be sequestered from the wider population, with as little harm to their life and freedom as is reasonable, with the intent of offering to them a means by which they can rehabilitate themselves.

The truth of the matter is that such an action is burdensome, difficult, and the results of that effort are rarely impressive, and often offensive to the families and friends of those sequestered.

It is still the kindest thing we can do for them.

I did the math, by the way, if you took the 4% of the population responsible for the majority of violent crime (those who offend 3 or more times) and marched them into the sea; not including any chilling effect of the action in question, you'd see a minimum 50% reduction in all violent crime, including homicide.

Because at the end of the day, dead cirminals don't reoffend.

That being said, I don't trust the government; any government, to do this correctly, so I'd rather we had the means to...disincentivze and physically/permanently arbitrate this issue as individuals. Because while the math does hold out, the problem is that the government and the masses will not stop at that 4%, they will keep going to justify their existence and to avoid feeling bad for the blood on their hands.

I may have become more strident in my beleif on this as time has gone on, but the basic nucleus has been the same since I was much, MUCH younger.

If you make yourself dangerous to a criminal, they will run, and if they do not run, they have chosen their death. In the simple calculus of these things, once you kill enough of them, they will stop.

Analyzing the politics of a work that's meant to be apolitical is actually a really interesting exercise because it asks you to critically examine what the creator considers to be "political" in the first place. Which ideas are just How Things Are, and which ones are Political, and how is that influenced by the creator's beliefs?

You cannot be impartial, by your nature as a living being that exists within a context, thereby your own analysis is more likely to be political, and indicative of your own bises, rather than to be illustrative of the biases or normalcies accepted by an author you're trying to analyse, by the very fact that you have the hubris to actively assume, even by some means of deduction, the internal framwork of a person far removed from yourself in peerage and socioeconomics.

Case in point, your analysis of this post starts from an assumption that analysis will be performed by someone operating under the presumption of their own impartiality, and from that assumption it spins a narrative that the analysis exercise must always end up as a reflection of the one doing the analysis projecting their own biases onto the text.

I'd argue that the excercise you're assuming to engage in is functionally nothing more than intellectual onanism.

Which, hey, however it is you massage your brain is up to you, but when others find it distasteful that you're doing so in public, it would be wise, in my opinion, to avoid surprise, feigned or otherwise.
