Well, i started drawing the official among us show crewmates/imps as the ones from my au/worldbuilding for my fic Young Blood New Teeth.

anyway yeah Nudibrate/Vuitis Green & Orange's dynamic is v different from the show. bc i wanted to make it more interesting to talk/think about.

It took a minute, but I’m finally done with my impostor reproduction headcanons! I'm still not sure about my speculative biology here compared to my crewmate headcanons, but I hope that it’s still interesting :]

The first thing to note about impostors is that they’re capable of reproducing asexually. Over time as adults, their body naturally produces the earliest stages of eggs, typically in large clutches.

The timeline of a typical impostor egg can be broken down into three major stages:

Stage 1: Initial production. An impostor’s body produces these semi-regularly without the person’s input (similar to ovulation). This takes very little energy to produce and can be laid right after a couple of days, but not without any risks. This is when the egg is most fragile and easiest for potential predators to consume.

If an impostor wants to lay the eggs this early, they’re doing it to either get rid of them since they don’t want to deal with the taxing experiences of stage 2, or they’ve found a great swampy/flooded area with plenty of nutrients for the eggs to safely reside.

Stage 2: Reinforcement. As the eggs slowly go from stage 1 to 2, many of the eggs are forced to fuse together from the pressure of the impostor’s body, resulting in fewer (but much stronger) eggs in the process. A clutch that started off as a few dozen eggs might get paired down to just 6 or so, for example.

Still, the extra growth can take a LOT out of the host’s energy, hence why most impostors choose to get rid of eggs early. They need to eat and rest far more, but their ability to disguise themselves becomes much harder to keep up, making hunting more difficult. An impostor normally only goes through with this stage if they either have an abundance of easily obtainable food or at least one mate to help them with the process.

At the very end of this stage is when it’s most optimal to lay them for the sake of the child’s survival.

Stage 3: The ore. Congrats! Your little impostor baby is now a safe and normal egg! Here, the baby will lay dormant until the shell is cracked open and they’re able to take on a new host.

Some of the more sentimental impostors out there might try to hatch the eggs themselves and try to raise the babies similarly to how a crewmate might raise their own young. This is harder, more dangerous for the baby, and extremely rare, but it is still doable.

As mentioned before, a way to help make stage 2 far easier is to have a mate around! This is easiest with a fellow impostor mate.

During stage 1, they’ll periodically trade their eggs back and forth with each other with their ovipositors, essentially taking turns on who would be the carrier. This makes the egg fusion process in stage 2 happen with both of their eggs, combining their genetics.

Traits from special kinds of impostors (such as phantoms, vipers, and shapeshifters) are less likely to show up in the resulting children, but it’s still more worth them to pursue for the higher survival rate.

Once it reaches to the heights of stage 2, they eggs can’t really be safely moved around anymore. Depending on the parents’ agreement, they’ll either split up the eggs between them to ease the strain or have one carry all of them and the other act as their caretaker until the eggs are laid.

The less likely but far better option for a mate though would be a crewmate! The insides of a crewmate is the best environment for an impostor egg to continue forming in - warm, wet, and tight!

While the issues surrounding energy and strain are still there, the methods of easing that are readily available nearly all the time for the average crewmate. Not to mention, if an impostor wants to raise their children by themselves as their own individuals, a crewmate is the best option for a fellow parent.

Due to the bizarre biology surround impostors and their gene-copying abilities, some of the eggs might mimic the genetics of their crewmate parent as well. If hatched and raised without a separate host, their bodies will show these copied traits (such as mixing the body colors of each parent).

Note: It’s possible for multiple impostors to have a shared crewmate carrier! Similarly to two impostors pairing up, it’ll help the eggs be stronger, more numerous, and mix together genetics. Not to mention it’ll be easier to keep their carrier satisfied!

pov your first contact with alien life is a horror movie setup and then the next aliens you accidentally bump into are in the process of recovering from something simular (minus the potential 'screaming while running away bc lets b honest if you just came out of a traumatic experience with a alien, you'd likely be far more wary of ohter aliens' being a potential issue at first alongside communication/language differences)

As a way to expand a bit more upon my previous headcanon post, I thought it'd be interesting to try and come up with takes on every member of the Skeld crew (complete with notes)!

First of all, Red! Their flower is fairly small compared to most crewmates, even when in full bloom. They're kind of embarrassed by it, but crewmate beauty standards for flowers specifically is more focused on aesthetic appeal rather than size.

I think I messed up the sizing a bit here, but I like to imagine that Red's penis is around average-sized as well! Maybe a bit thinner and longer, but not by a whole lot.

All in all, they're pretty average... visually speaking. Do you remember in the other post how crewmates' genitals showing while they have their packs on is very rare?

Red is ABSOLUTELY one of those people, lmao. Just imagine Purple absolutely blowing up at them, just full yelling and degrading, only to stop dead in their tracks because Red just popped a stiffie. Red finds is SUPER humiliating whenever it happens (in a hot way).

Purple is also very average, tbh. They have a couple extra bumps on their junk, but other than that, it's nothing super out of the ordinary for crewmates.

The only thing of note really is their stamen (the little dangly bits) on their flower. For most crewmates they're almost like feathers, super light and airy. For Purple though, the red balls are more like berries or seeds in material and can knock against each other noisily when shaken around.

SMALL DICK BLUE MY BELOVED <3 They're suuuuuuper embarrassed by it and it's a bit more sensitive than average. Please handle them and their emotions with care.

(Sidenote, small dick Blue isn't an original idea of mine or anything, I was inspired by a Blime fic I read a while back for it, but when I tried to find it again to link here, I? couldn't find it again?? Words cannot describe the sheer scale of such a tragedy /silly)

Anyways, besides that, they're very handsome as always. Their pussy and flower are both considered super pretty by crewmate standards. I also like to imagine that, while crewmate's flowers and genitals normally have a floral scent, it's stronger and more soothing with Blue.

As a crewmate, Green is SUPER shy about sex and gets flustered easily. They're a bit of a freak with their flower, having some more intense or humiliating fantasies about it (ex: they might fantasize about their pedals getting pulled off, even though they know that it would be super painful and dangerous in reality).

Their penis is also a lot shorter than average, but is super girthy, so it ends up looking more like a seed or a squash. Their pussy is also much more puffy and squishy than normal.

Green absolutely WILL turn beet red the moment you start teasing them about any of this, lmao.

All things considered, White is also considered very pretty among crewmates, especially their flower. They take great care to keep their pedals glossy and fragrant (though, the smell is noticeably more artificial when compared to Blue, who has a pleasant and strong smell naturally).

Their penis is very long, but also thin and probably a bit more delicate than usual. The little bumps towards the tip are suuuuuper sensitive for them - they feel too embarrassed to admit it upfront, so they try to play it casual and pretend that they're not starting to absolutely lose their mind whenever those bumps are teased (they're not very good at it).

BIG DICK CYAN MY BELOVED <3 This one was 100% inspired by Banana's Top Cyan post, lol. This thing is damn near double the length of average and three times the girth. Good luck getting any of it to fit.

I also like to imagine that, with there being such a wide variety of available colors and shapes for a crewmates flower and junk to take on, that there's some superstitions and old wives tales that have been circling around for a long while that Cyan might buy into.

For example, the fact that one of the two colors is so similar to their body color means that they're very self-sufficient and confident! The color in general also means that they're a very peaceful and empathetic person.

The geogem fanatic inside of me wants to say that some of these superstitions say that the colors of ones flower can also indicate the color of their soulmate, lmao.

Black actually has a super rare form of flower! While the vast majority of crewmates have their flowers perpendicular and flat on their backs, Black has theirs dangling downwards! While most people with this find it a bit embarrassing, Black is honestly pretty happy with this part of themself. As a matter of fact, they're pretty proud of their body in general!

Their penis is somewhat short and girthy, but other than that, it's pretty normal. They absolutely have at least a handful of piercings on them and are planning on getting more, though.

Ok, Lime has a few interesting things going on with them.

First off, their flower. They used to have two sets of pedals (a smaller set hidden in the back and the second main set) and a pair of stamen that were long enough to reach the floor. They got rid of their smaller set of pedals several years back due to faith-based reasons (kind of like circumcision ig?).

However, as their mental health began to steadily decline and they became more of a conspiracy theorist, they started to grow paranoid of anything that could be used against them. For example, what if they were getting hunted by a flock of gremlins in the vents without their pack on and one of them grabbed their stamen?

This led to them ripping them off and damaging their main set of pedals in a very unsafe manner one day. While their condition has stabilized and they're doing a lot better now, their flower can still ache and feels far more sensitive. Unless you have some delicate hands and really know what you're doing to make their flower feel good, try to avoid touching it in general.

On a much more lighthearted note though, the only other noticeable thing is the large bulge in the underside of their penis. It has a bumpier texture compared to the smooth, almost slime-like feel of the rest of it. I'd imagine that Lime really likes to get teased with teeth there (or even having it get straight up bit).

Yellow's flower and junk is honestly rather simple compared to most other crewmates. They used to be a bit more shy and embarrassed about it in the past, but nowadays they're fairly confident in their body.

Their penis is a bit more on the short and girthy side, but the segmented bumps feel real nice going in. Since they only have two large pedals for their flower, I also like to imagine that they like it when their partner smooths a hand over them, trying to feel as much surface area as possible. It's not anything super intense, but it's nice foreplay.

Other than that, there really isn't anything else of note.

Another fairly average crewmate. Brown's flower is fairly small, but it doesn't bother them.

I'd imagine that Brown is the type of person who's fairly confident in the events leading up to getting in bed with somebody, but ends up being super easy to fluster once it actually starts.

While they do well in both submissive and dominant roles, they tend to lean a bit more submissive naturally. Tug at the pedals around the base of their cock and they'll listen to everything you say, lol.

And finally, my absolute darling Orange!! Both their flower and junk are fairly uncommon, but not by a whole lot.

Their flower sticks up and out from their back a decent amount, and the tips of their pedals are more sensitive than usual. The weird half-hood on their penis is pretty unusual as well, but they've grown to feel confident in it. They loooooove getting teased in-between and under the seams for it :3c

I'm taking inspiration from a couple of different things for this one;

I used this post by cuwupi as a basis - I really love the idea that reproduction for crewmates being partially plant-based.

I also used this post on R34 by mcinns as inspiration for what the buds on their backs would look like. I just thought that the way they drew it was SO pretty, so that got me thinking about reproduction for them looking oddly beautiful.

Anyways, I thought that it'd be cool to take things one step further and make them basically plant-based creatures rather than mammals. I know that contradicts a lot of the stuff though (like them having blood and bones), but my best explanation is that their bodies evolved to mimic actual animals super closely for basically everything, making them a total biological wonder.

(I'm still not 100% sure on that though, so there's a chance that I might retcon the whole plant idea in the future.)

Anyways here's the REAL freak shit, lmao. I mostly just ripped off myself since this is basically just a variation of my Hollow Knight headcanons that I made about a year back.

Their penises are generally pretty rigid when hard, but they're still noticeably squishier than a human. I also thought it'd be cool if they had a wide variety of flowery bits that unfurled when aroused, so I added those too.

Uhhhhh some extra notes that I wasn't able to fit in anywhere:

The buds on their backs can handle a LOT of pressure and manhandling normally - they're very malleable. This means that adding in a ton of weight to their packs doesn't really affect the buds all that much (outside of regular back-related weight issues).

During sprouting (aka pregnancy) however, they have to be WAY more conscious about the weight of their packs since both the bud and sprout becomes more fragile. They can't even wear their packs at all in the later stages, instead switching to their equivalent of a maternity dress (a gown that covers both their back and crotch areas).

Normally the buds stay closed, even with the packs removed, but they bloom open when aroused. While the outside of the petals don't really feel anything, the inside can be pretty sensitive (especially towards the center), acting as an extra erogenous zone during sex.
