I made a hornet’s nest with a speaker inside, bullet spots and motion sensor wired to a prop controller. It’s now hanging in the kids’ gameroom. I have to keep escalating to get a good startle out of them. (chicken wire, clay mache, spray foam, Roscoe’s foam coat, some other Roscoe’s product that was amazing too, real bug shells, fishing line for the bug shells, etc…)
Home-made motion-activated hornet’s nest in the game room! Because I am funny that way. 😂
Vidclip 3. The goal: blunt force trauma impact splatter...

Working on “Robo-Bella” today. I think she lives!!! 😃
Animatronics and basic machines: it’s been almost two years since I did one of these. I’m rusty! Clearly I didn’t record it to muscle memory the last time I did this. ; )
I’ll use this to power the dummy (artificial stunt double) during the next fight scene. Simple wiper motor with speed controller which will attach to the dummy head/torso/arms sculpted from scrap foam from a sucky “select comfort” mattress. Viola.
for fake Isabella, which makes perfect sense (I promise) ☺️
it takes sooo much effort to be fake... but here’s a stab at it.
shooting before the storm
Aaaaand.....: it DID work! I do love when my ideas work. Onward!
I like pranks. And startle scares. My film team doesn’t know this, which gives me an edge (so fun: the family has long been desensitized)
Yep. We did this.
Afternoon tea at Ellen’s in Dallas’ West End Historic District.
