Last Book: I've been on and off Timothy Snyder's Bloodlands, the Baldwin Papers, and David Marquand's Ramsay MacDonald finding excerpts as needed. Not a book but I've also been perusing the Punch almanacs as of late (I should probably finish Bloodlands).

Last Song: “Emblem” by Utsu-P (embarrassing, I know; I swear I told myself I'd get off Vocaloid years ago, but the producers and the technology keep getting better and this song has Gumi's low tuning and... [embarrassed])

Last Film: Last week I watched Die Blechtrommel (1979) for a German department film screening, and will never watch it again. It was probably the freakiest (derogatory) movie I've ever seen and I went in blind knowing nothing other than it was about World War II.

Last Series: Number 10 (1983), I still have Pitt the Younger and Wellington to watch... but the MacDonald episode was PEAK and I only wish there was a sequel!! A whole series really. MacDonald biopic when?? 👀

Last Video Game: I haven't played video games in years, but if I had to guess... Minecraft?

Sweet or Salty: Typically salty!

Coffee or Tea: Preferably tea but coffee as needed (both unsweet).

Working On: A lot of things, but I'm always looking for more blog content — more texts to read, more cartoons to caption, more unwatermarked photos to track down — or consolidating the sources already in my blog arsenal. As of writing this post, I've recently opened channels with the V&A to correct one of their interwar records after spotting a few errors, as well as adding more information to MacDonald's Wikipedia dropdown in the “Cultural Depictions” section. More on both to come!

Nine People I'd Like to Know Better

Last Book: The Color Purple, but that was mid-February. I honestly need some book suggestions. I'm currently reading Valley of the Dolls, but after that I have no idea

Last Song: The last song I searched was Freek'n You by Jodeci because me and my girl are huge Jojos fans and constantly sing that 😭

The last song I heard though was Uneasy Hearts Weigh The Most by Dance Gavin Dance. It was my bedtime alarm tonight (as of writing this)

Last Film: I watched 4 films in a row the other day while crocheting, but I don't really remember the order. So it was either Pulp Fiction, Dog Day Afternoon, Hot Rod, or South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut.

Last Series: On new year's, me and the girlfriend finished OG Dexter. Recently, I've been into Everybody Hates Chris, but I'm not much of a big series person.

Last Video Game: I try not to be on screens a lot. Solitaire? Maybe Sims 4?? I watched my girl play Assassin's Creed Shadows last night if that counts

Sweet or Salty: Every time I get asked this I say salty, but I have the biggest sweet tooth known to man. Definitely sweet.

Coffee or Tea: I only like sweet iced tea, but will drink any kind of coffee (I don't really like coffee though)

Working On: I'm trying to finish all of my winter projects by the time spring officially starts. Notably a fruit painting, a short story I've been calling Tomorrow's Housewives (but the name isn't set in place yet), a crocheted Moomin, and some crocheted flowers

Last book: all the lovers in the night by mieko kawakami. i STARTED it. lets see if ill finish it but the i see similarities between me and the protagonist which is the reason why i felt so drawn to the book.

Last song: miss construed by nemahsis. what a beautiful artist. it makes me feel bittersweet. theres so much hurt in her voice, and rightfully so. listen to nemahsis.

last film: wuthering heights. -yes, the one w jacob elordi and Margo Robbie. truly an atrocity. im gonna read the book from Emily Brontë to further my understanding because what the actual fuck.

last series: more of a youtube person. i like watching video essays:)

last video game: /

sweet or salty: both. im the kind of psycho that puts kimchi on her chocolate and calls it a day.

coffee or tea: neither. coffee makes me hella anxious and im not the biggest fan of tea. tho ive made this beautiful sirup out of apple peels and its lowkey delicious with sparkling water.

working on: a painting. -well thats one concrete, creative thing im doing atm.

The last book I read was One of us is lying, which was really good! I am currently reading the Handmaids tale and animal farm.

Last song:

Listening to music rn so the song im listening to is Cherry Waves by Deftones 😋

The last film I watched was like last night and it was Shiva baby (Rachel Sennott my beloved 💝)

Im watching like 30 shows rn, but I think the last show i watched was probably Euphoria or Sweet pea?

last book: i’m in the middle of 3 rn (one at home, one at school, one downloaded on my phone) but the last one i finished was the first lockwood and co book. loved the show adaptation so i am reading the ancient texts !!!

last song: second best by the last dinner party. i feel like their live version is 10x better but that’s the truth for all of their songs

last film: i started rewatching pretty in pink last night but didnt finish it… does that count ??

last series: mash! i’ve been watching a lot of classic tv shows lately and like. mash was big for a reason. on s2 rn

this was fun! it's mainly me yapping about things :)

last book: im in the middle of reading puerto rico: a national history by jorell meléndez-badillo. i would highly recommend it if you are interested in the political atmosphere of PR throughout the years. but technically the last book i finished was a tree grows in brooklyn by betty smith. it's a very lengthy book, but recommend it if you like coming of age stories.

last song: stateside by pinkpantheress and zara larsson. it's been engrained in my brain for weeks at this point

last film: i was watching big daddy for background music while finishing psych homework. it was my first time fully watching it. i gave it a 3/5 stars on letterboxd. it's one of the better adam sandler movies in my opinion.

last series: bridgerton season 4 and love story: jfk jr. and carolyn bassette. mainly watched these to understand the hype around them, and my friend wanted to watch them with me. also the pitt! don't get me started on the pitt.

last video game: guitar hero on my ds. i don't really play video games, but i still have my old ds laying around.

sweet or salty: sweet for sure.

coffee or tea: def coffee. i will always have an iced latte in my hand. i only drink tea if im sick. i have tried to make myself like it, i promise.

working on: im not working on crafts as much due to college. does my senior thesis count as something im working on?
