i saw an article that said that this season of queer eye wasn't as good as the others bc everyone was on the "same side" and there wasn't tension bc they didn't have to fight to be accepted or tolerated by the people they were helping,,,, like why is that a bad thing, why do straight people need to see lgbt people, two of whom are moc, in situations of intolerance to be entertained and satisfied

I Feel Like We All Need To Have A Little Miranda In Our Lives

Be a little Stevie, who breaks into song randomly and is confident in her allure. The one who will gallop in public and support every weird little quirk of her best friend no matter who’s watching.

Be a Penny. Mouth the wrong words and have your own little expressions, and above all, support your daughter when she needs it most.

Don’t be afraid to be a Tilly once and a while. Loud, and boisterous, and at times a tad annoying. Have fun with yourself and be confident in any outfit you wear no matter how outrageous. (And occasionally make yourself the center of attention - we all need to be, once and a while.)

Be proud to be Gary. Madly in love with someone who doesn’t embody conventional beauty, and enjoy their quirks rather than be annoyed by them.

And most importantly, realize you are Miranda. Fun, and ridiculous, and beautiful in every sense of the world. Confident in not only who you are, but in also the way that others perceive you. Be the one who shapes society rather than letting it shape you. (And go and find yourself a Gary - you deserve to, even if you don’t quite believe it yet.)
