summary: remus swears he saw you and sirius holding hands but how could two people who despise each other be capable of such a thing?
warnings: none!
a/n: BOOM, another one.
This was not supposed to happen.
Truthfully, you weren’t even friends with Sirius Black. In fact, that would be a generous lie. The two of you hated each other. Sirius Black was the absolute bane of your existence. You wouldn’t voluntarily spend time with him if your life depended on it. If possible, you’d refuse to breathe the same air as him.
He was so obnoxiously charming and so cocky that he just expected everyone to adore his godly presence. His devilishly good looks were apparently irresistible but you knew different. That face was just a mask for the demon underneath and you despised him.
To make it worse he was a Gryffindor. A Gryffindor.
There was nothing even remotely attractive about him. Not when he was constantly parading around like he was Merlin’s gift to wizardkind. Whenever you were finally at peace, he’d show up just to ruin it. It was like his personal mission in life was to piss you off.
Everyone who attended Hogwarts knew that the moment either of you did anything remotely annoying there was bound to be some huge catastrophe. There was not one single second where the two of you got along. Even the professors had given up trying to make you coexist peacefully.
Some people, however, thought that the two of you had some sort of secret relationship going on which was totally absurd. There was absolutely zero chance that you would ever like that dark haired himbo of a boy, no matter what the rumors said.
“Why are you both holding hands?” Remus’ voice wasn’t loud but it was loud enough for everyone within five feet of you to hear and come flocking towards you and Sirius. It was also loud enough for you to spring away from the Gryffindor as if your hand had been burned.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about Lupin, your eyes must deceive you.” You replied huffily, brushing the imaginary dust off your clothes with forced nonchalance.
The muttering around you didn’t seem to stop and you sneaked a glance at Sirius. His face was a startling shade of red and his eyes were trained on his feet. You cursed him inside of your head.
“You two were definitely holding hands.” Remus smirked and you could see the teasing look in his eye which made you want to strangle him. “Why are you denying it?”
“Lupin, you’re dreaming, I did not hold Black’s hand.” You snarked. “And even if I did, I don’t see how it’s any of your business.”
The crowd gathered around you let out a bunch of gasps. After all, Y/n L/n defending Sirius Black was a rare sight to see. You rolled your eyes, giving Sirius a light kick under the table.
“Merlin’s beard you lot are so nosy. Not like I’d even touch her hand.” He glared at the people in front of you both and they scattered.
You cleared your throat giving him a withering stare before strutting off. The chatter returned and eyes weren’t on the two of you anymore. Sirius silently slipped away, following after you. He checked behind him just in case there was anyone watching, thankfully there wasn’t. The hallway was silent, no hints to where you had gone off to. He rounded a corner just to smack into you.
“Watch where you’re going, Black.” You hissed.
“What’s with the attitude, sweetheart?” Sirius smirked, noticing as you avoided his gaze. “Are you angry that I said I wouldn’t touch your hand?” You didn’t respond but you didn’t pull away when he grabbed your waist. “I asked you a question and if you’re going to be a brat about it then things aren’t looking bright for you.”
“I’m not angry.” You muttered, eyes narrowing.
Sirius studied your face. “No?”
You pouted. “Not angry.”
“So if I walked over to some girl and asked her if I could hold her hand, what would you—”
“I’ll chop your dick off.”
Your cheeks flamed as he burst out laughing.
“Don’t laugh.” You whined.
“Only got eyes for you love.” He grinned, placing a kiss on your forehead. “Besides, we have amazing sex.”
You rolled your eyes but your lips twitched.
“There’s a broom cupboard right there.” He added casually.
You scoffed. But you still let him pull you inside.
Dinner came and went. You returned to your house table with that carefully neutral face, hair slightly messy, uniform a bit askew. Sirius did the same, dropping into his seat like he hadn’t just been snogging his so-called nemesis in a dark cupboard.
No one noticed.
Except Remus, who raised a single knowing eyebrow.
summary: you've always liked being independent and theo adores that about you, but when you're too stubborn to even take a sick day he knows he has to intervene.
warnings: theo gets angry and punches someone and you are very very ill
a/n: she's back!!! lol guys low key been more than a year hello?? anyways just easing myself back into it. i might disappear again but i'm gonna feed you guys nonetheless
Sunlight filtered through the cracks in the curtains, casting faint golden lines the edges of the duvet. The warmth in the dormitory was soft, still and quiet for once. You stirred beneath the covers, your cheek pressed against a bare shoulder that radiated the kind of heat only another person could provide. Arms were loosely draped around you, one hand curled protectively over your hip the other resting warm and steady near your ribs. A steady heartbeat pulsed beneath your ear.
Theo.
His messy curls fanned out on the pillow beside you and a small smile crept its way onto your lips. With a careful hand, you reached out and brushed the strands away from his eyes. His lashes fluttered briefly but he didn’t wake, not until you moved again, shifting your weight as your nose brushed his collarbone.
He inhaled sharply, arms tightening automatically around you and a low, sleepy rumble vibrated in his chest. “G’morning, mia cara…” He murmured, his voice gravelly and unguarded. “How long’ve you been awake?”
“Not long, was just resting before all the noise.”
Theo chuckled against your hair, and the soft sound made your chest ache. “Yeah, well… it’s Quidditch day. Can’t have our star chaser sleeping through practice, can we?”
You groaned, nose wrinkling. “You mean hell hour.”
Ever since Slytherin’s near-miss in the last match, Flint had doubled training. The pitch had become your prison. Early mornings. Late nights. Endless drills. Your body wasn’t built for this constant strain. Especially not on top of essays and exams. It was only a matter of time before something gave way.
And Theo knew it.
He had seen the subtle decline - the way you started slumping in your seat during meals, the trembling of your fingers when you held your fork, the way your eyes glazed over in class. He noticed how you stopped finishing meals, how your laugh got quieter, how the dark circles under your eyes deepened like bruises. Yet, you claimed you were fine. He had pestered and pestered you, begging you to take a break but you refused.
“Y/n, you know you can miss a session. It isn’t the end of the world, I’ll just tell Flint you’re not feeling well.”
“No.” You pushed yourself out of bed despite the familiar pounding feeling at the back of your head. “I’m okay Theo.”
You scramble around the dorm, fishing your stuff from the floor and pulling the familiar kit over your body as you ignore the growing ache of your muscles. You knew Theo only cared for your wellbeing but you were determined to handle it by yourself. It would all be worth it in the end and by then you would be able to have hours of sleep and rest while cuddled with your boyfriend. You just had to make it through a few hours and then the rest of the weekend would be yours.
Theo watched you from his bed, your slow movements were a tell-tale sign that you were exhausted despite your claims. He knew you were stubborn, knew you would refuse help but he also knew that if he pushed it you would get angry and lash out. So he opted to stay quiet, letting you be while silently caring for you from the shadows. You didn’t notice when he would refill your cup of water at the dining table to urge you to drink more or when he would organise your notes so you didn’t waste time fretting over where they were. Theo knew you well enough to know that you didn’t like asking for help, afterall you liked being independent and it was one of the great qualities of why he loved you. But it didn’t stop him from worrying.
He sighed, grabbing a shirt to pull over his head before pushing himself out of bed. “Promise me if things get too tiring you’ll sit out?” His scent engulfed your senses as he wrapped his arms around you.
You grasp at the hem of his shirt, pulling him closer so you could feel the familiar warmth he exuded. “I promise.”
“I’m not joking bella. Any pain you feel and you're off to the side.”
You look up at your boyfriend and you spot the way his eyebrows are knotted together, frown evident on his lips. You smile as you lean up to give him a quick kiss. “I know Theo, don’t worry, I’m okay.”
He didn’t believe you. Not really. But he kissed your forehead anyway, like a silent hope, and let you go.
//
The chill wasn’t refreshing anymore. It was slicing. Your muscles felt pulled too tight, like coiled wire under your skin. Your joints ached with a slow, grinding heat, as if they were being twisted out of alignment one degree at a time. Your temples throbbed in sync with your pulse - a hot, stabbing rhythm that made you flinch with every shout or whistle that cut across the field.
You clenched your broomstick tighter, trying to ignore the pressure already gathering behind your eyes. A thin film of sweat had already broken out across your forehead, sticking strands of your hair to your skin. Your balance felt wrong and you felt the broom vibrate from underneath you in a way that made your body want to lurch. The light hurt too. The sky started to brighten even more and each sliver of sunlight felt like needles in your eyes. The migraine pressed harder against your skull, squeezing your vision into a narrow tunnel edged with static and flickers of white. It wasn’t just a headache anymore.
Still, you flew.
Still, you smiled.
Still, you caught and passed and dove - until your hands were shaking so badly you missed a pass you’d normally catch in your sleep. The quaffle grazed your fingers and dropped to the ground.
Theo was at your side in an instant.
“Y/n.” He said, worry etched deep in every syllable. “Principessa. Are you okay? You promised me.”
You smiled at him through gritted teeth. “I’m fine. Just a bit off today.”
“Focus Y/n.” Flint’s blunt remark cut through the air and you nodded weakly before flying away. Your throat felt raw, as if no words were able to come out.
The quaffle spun at you and you reached your hands out ready to catch but it grazed past, lightly skimming your fingertips. Your face flushed and you weren’t sure whether it was because you missed the easiest pass or because of the growing heat that gnawed at you relentlessly.
Your boyfriend eyed you as you flew away, already readying yourself for another pass. He knew something was up and he had spent most of practice trying to focus but you would draw his attention. Even though you insisted that you were okay, Theo wasn’t stupid and he wasn’t going to let you suffer for any longer. He blew out a breath as he made his way towards Marcus, ready to tell him that the both of you were heading back inside to get some rest.
Then he heard it. A thud then shouts of your name and it took milliseconds for Theo to whip around and spot your body on the grass. Theo’s heart pounded against his ribs as he sprinted across the pitch, the cold air slicing at his skin as he dropped to his knees beside you.
You were crumpled on the ground, your broom lying just a few feet away, your body curled like you were trying to make yourself smaller against the pain. Your skin was pale, but slick with sweat - burning hot under his touch.
“Y/n.” He breathed, cupping your cheek. “Y/n, look at me, hey, stay with me.”
Your eyes fluttered open weakly but didn’t quite focus and the heat pouring off your skin made his stomach twist. He pressed the back of his hand to your forehead.
Boiling.
“Shit.” He whispered, brushing hair back from your clammy face. “You’ve got a fever. Why the hell didn’t you say anything?”
You barely managed to murmur his name before your eyes rolled back again, your body sagging against the grass like a puppet with cut strings.
“Theo!” Marcus Flint stormed toward them. “What the hell’s going on? Get her up. Practice isn’t over, she’s just winded.”
Theo’s head snapped up. “She’s not winded. She’s sick, Flint. She’s running a damn fever!”
Flint scoffed. “She probably skipped breakfast. Get her some water and let her sit out for a bit. She can finish the last drills after.”
Theo stood slowly, something cold and sharp coiling in his chest.
“You’re not serious.”
“She’s on the team like everyone else and we’ve got to win the cup. No excuses.” Flint said, already turning away. “She’ll be fine.”
Something snapped.
Theo’s fist met Flint’s jaw with a sickening crack, the sound echoing across the pitch. The Slytherin captain staggered back, stunned, blood already trickling from the corner of his lip.
“She is done for today.” Theo growled, eyes blazing. “You should’ve called this practice off the moment she started shaking midair.”
Everyone froze. Players hovered midair, jaws slack as they watched the scene unfold.
Theo didn’t wait for a response. He dropped back to the ground, carefully slipping one arm under your knees, the other around your shoulders. You didn’t stir. Your breathing was shallow, your forehead still blazing against his neck as he lifted you gently into his arms. He carried you across the grounds without hesitation, the cold wind biting at his face but never once breaking his pace. His jaw was set, eyes hard. The castle never felt so far away.
By the time he reached the Slytherin dorms, he was nearly breathless from the weight of you, but he never let it show. He pushed his way into his room and laid you carefully on his bed. You were shivering now, yet still burning beneath his touch.
“Theo…” You rasped, barely audible.
“Shh, it’s okay. I’ve got you now, alright?” He whispered, already grabbing a cool cloth and pressing it to your forehead. “You’re burning up, mia cara. You should’ve told me.”
You let out a weak sound, a weird mixture between a laugh and a cough. “Didn’t want to miss practice…”
Theo shook his head, eyes softening despite the anger still simmering inside him. “You almost passed out in the air. No practice is worth that.”
He sat down beside you, one hand lacing through yours while the other gently wiped sweat from your brow. He summoned fresh blankets, a fever draught from his stash, water and a small charm to cool the room.
“You’re staying here.” He murmured as he brushed a kiss to your temple. “And I’m staying with you.”
And as your breathing evened just a little and as the sweat continued to bead on your skin, he never once looked away. Not even for a second.
hey guys! idk if any of u like jjk but i made a side blog few weeks back and completely forgot to mention it, its already got a few fics up! check it out if you like @gumified

“Theo, Theo!”
You stumbled past objects in your path, eager to reach your boyfriend. You climbed the steps like they were walls, holding the new book you had just received like a prized trophy. It had just arrived and your owl had just had it delivered to you. As soon as you saw the wrapping you knew what it was and it only caused an excited bubble to burst within you. The book had been one that Theo had recommended to you and since both of you had a passion for reading you just had to get it. You were nearly at his dorm now and you couldn’t contain your excitement. You pushed open the dorm door and your expression was bright and cheerful, you didn't notice that your boyfriend had company as you rattled off.
“Look look! It’s the book you were talking about the other day - Alice in Wonderland!” You never really read muggle books but your boyfriend had managed to get you into it, proclaiming that despite them being written by muggles they were surprisingly good, and now you were just as addicted. “I can’t wait to read it, Lily saw me holding it and said it was really good and that I’d totally enjoy it not to mention its cover is so pretty!”
You continued your tangent, too absorbed in what you were ranting about to your boyfriend to notice you had interrupted a conversation between his friends. Theo didn’t mind though he was also enraptured by what you were saying. If he were a cartoon character, his eyes would be hearts, gazing at you with such love. You made him so happy, and Theo loved you more than anything.
Draco and Blaise were watching their best friend and snickering behind their hands. It wasn’t unknown that Theodore Nott was so deeply in love with you and vice versa. The two of you were the power couple of the century. His three best friends watched as he somehow managed to fall deeper into the hole of love just for you. They whispered behind their palms as you jumped up and down excited for the book you had in your hands.
It was only then that you noticed that you had interrupted something and your cheeks flushed with heat and you tried to hide your face with the book.
“I’m so sorry, did I interrupt a conversation?” You asked sheepishly although you kind of already knew the answer.
Theo shot the boys with a dirty look before turning to you and gesturing for you to sit on his lap. “You didn’t interrupt us, principessa, don’t worry.”
He placed a kiss on your forehead and you couldn’t help the smile that grew on your face. Truth is he didn’t really remember what he was talking about to his friends because the moment you had barged in all his attention had been on you.
Draco and Blaise held back their laughter as they knew what Theo was actually thinking. The two of them knew how much he loved you and they always made it their top priority to remind him how whipped he was for you. They understood though. Their best friend was in love and that was what love did.
You settled comfortably on Theo’s lap, still bubbling with excitement. He wrapped his arms around you, resting his chin on your shoulder as he peeked at the book. “I can’t wait to start reading it! Should we read it together, Theo?”
He smiled, his eyes twinkling with affection. “Of course, mia cara. I’d love that.”
Draco and Blaise exchanged amused glances, already planning their next round of teasing. For now, though, they were content to watch their friend bask in the happiness that only you could bring him.

Hi Yves, thank you for writing such great fics for us! I noticed you haven’t written anything for Blaise so is it ok to request for him?
Blaise and y/n are aurors and “rivals” bcs they think they’re better than e/o. They had to go to a mission tgt and she got hurt/almost got hurt but tried to play it cool while Blaise was so protective (swooning rn).
If you’re uncomfy writing Blaise you can also make it as Theo.
Much love xx

summary: hate was a very strong word and it was the word you would use to describe blaise zabini perfectly.
warnings: swearing, you get hit with a hex and you bleed, nothing too graphic
a/n: tysm for requesting this anon!! i'm so happy you enjoy my writing and ofc you can request for blaise, this is my gift to you <3
Hate was a strong word. It was something that everyone said. Arguably it was a word most people used often without truly knowing just how strong the connotations were. No, you didn’t hate Blaize Zabini. You despised him with every single cell in your being. Not only was he a cocky asshole he was also determined to surpass you in everything.
The two of you had been in the same year in Hogwarts and though you had only met when the both of you were 11 hatred had already been brewing. He was conceited and arrogant and snarky. All the things you hated. The rivalry between the both of you had only grown throughout the years, the tension pulling tighter and tighter.
Now, the both of you were aurors and no one got a wink of peace when the both of you were around.
“Can you not be an insufferable piece of shit for two seconds?” You snarled at his direction and when you see him sporting the same devilish smirk it only fuels your anger further.
“One. Two.” He holds his fingers up as he counts the seconds, mocking your emotions even more. “There, done. I know that you love me Y/n but you can’t even stay away from me for two seconds, that’s adorable.”
You lunged at him, anger bubbling over the top, ready to pounce on him and hex him into oblivion. Blaise was so annoying, so irritating and yet he was also so brain-numbingly handsome and smooth. You felt someone grab your shoulder stopping you just in time before you pummelled the man’s face in.
“C’mon Y/n I can’t be the one cleaning up after the both of you again.” Harry sighed as he held you back. You watched as Blaise’s smug grin only widened as he leaned back into his chair. “The both of you are going to have to get along, there’s a mission for both of you.”
“But-”
“No buts Y/n, this one came from the guys above. You know how they are so you and Zabini are going to have to get along.”
Harry didn’t say anything more as he left you standing there in disbelief. You didn’t even have a chance to refuse or even beg to not go. Blaise let out a low whistle as soon as the other auror left. He got up from his seat and made his way towards you, the shit-eating grin on his face only irritating you further. You scowled as he stopped just a few inches in front of you.
“Don’t be a pussy L/n, I’m sure you can resist my charms for a few hours.” He threw you a wink and you felt your skin crawl with disgust. Blaise was attractive, yes, but merlin how you wanted to just punch that annoying expression right off his face.
“You better not fuck this up Zabini or I swear to merlin-”
He cut you off before you could finish and rolled his eyes at the words you spat out. “I know, I know.” He shrugged his shoulders back before glancing at you again. Your glare met his eyes and you found yourself getting lost in his dark gaze. “You should know by now I don’t fuck anything up.”
With that, he snapped you out of your hazy thoughts. Your glare hardened and you scoffed at his arrogant statement. That was the last thing he said before disappearing behind you, leaving you to stew in your own anger. You had just been put together with your worst enemy on a mission. This was unbelievable.
//
The mission was a standard recon, yet the tension between you and Blaise made it anything but. Sneaking through the dense forest, you tried to focus on the task at hand and not the infuriating presence beside you. Blaise, for once, seemed focused, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger.
It wasn’t meant to be a hard mission, the both of you were skilled enough to handle any of the attacks that were hurled your way. Yet, everything happened so fast. One minute you were shouting hexes, pointing your wand at the danger before you. Blaise was beside you, his movements fluid and precise, something you had always envied.
In the chaos, you didn’t see the hex coming. It hit you square in the chest, sending you sprawling to the ground, pain searing through your body. It hurt, it hurt a lot but you couldn’t let that stop you. This was a mission and every mission was treated with the utmost importance. There was no way that you were going to give up so easily. You gritted your teeth, trying your best to push yourself up and carry on.
“I’m fine.” You muttered through clenched teeth as you struggled to stand. The pain only seemed to increase, spreading throughout your body quicker. “Just a scratch.”
Blaise’s eyes narrowed as he glanced at you, his expression shifting from annoyance to something you couldn’t quite place. “Bullshit, Y/N. You’re hurt.”
“I said I’m fine.” You insisted, ignoring the throbbing pain in your side. “Let’s just finish this.”
But Blaise wasn’t having it. He grabbed your arm, his grip firm but not painful. “We need to get you out of here.”
“I don’t need your help, Zabini.” You snapped, trying to pull away, but your strength was waning.
“Stop being stubborn.” He growled, his voice low and dangerous. “You’re not dying on my watch.”
His words stunned you into silence. Before you could protest further, Blaise lifted you into his arms, carrying you with surprising gentleness. You could feel his heart pounding against your back, the adrenaline of the fight still coursing through him. Your own heart was beating just as fast and you tried to steady your laboured breathing. Despite your protests, you couldn’t help but lean into him, exhaustion and pain overcoming your pride.
As the two of you reached a safer area, he set you down gently, his hands lingering on your shoulders as he checked your wound. You winced when he pressed at your side and you turned to shoot him a glare but apologies were already tumbling from his lips. The concern in his eyes was undeniable, and it confused you. This was the same Blaise Zabini who had always been your rival, your nemesis.
“You’re going to be okay.” He said quietly, his voice softer than you’d ever heard it. He muttered a spell you assumed was to calm the bleeding that was seeping through your clothes. “Just hang in there.”
“Thanks.” You mumbled, not sure what else to say.
“Don’t mention it.” He replied, his usual smirk returning. “Just try not to get yourself killed next time. It’s a lot of paperwork.”
You rolled your eyes at his snarky remark, a small smile tugging at your lips despite the pain. “You wish.”
As the adrenaline wore off you found yourself more in tune with the pain as well as the lingering touches that Blaise left as he helped you. The forest was eerily quiet and you knew that the danger was no longer there yet the silence only made it more awkward between the both of you. Every once in a while you would meet his eyes and your eyes would lock with his for a second before he turned away.
It was weird.
You winced as you shifted, the pain in your side sharp and persistent. Blaise noticed immediately, his brow furrowing in concern.
“Let me see.”
You debated whether to refuse his request before giving in. “Fine.”
He knelt beside you, gently lifting your bloodied shirt to inspect the wound. His fingers brushed against your skin, sending an unexpected shiver down your spine. The wound was deep, and the sight of it made you grimace.
“You’re lucky.” He murmured, his voice oddly tender. “A bit higher and it could have been much worse.”
“Guess I’ll have to thank you for that.”
Blaise looked up, his eyes meeting yours. For a moment, the usual antagonism was absent, replaced by something softer, more intense. “You don’t have to thank me, Y/N. Just… try to be more careful.”
He was so close, his breath warm on your skin. Your heart kept the fast pace it had despite the fact all your adrenaline had already dissipated. He leaned closer towards you, fingertips grazing your wound and his touch somehow soothed the ache you felt.
“I mean it.” He whispered, his voice barely audible. “I hate watching you get hurt.”
“Blaise-” The words die in your throat and you can’t continue the sentence you so desperately wanted to say. You swallowed hard, your heart pounding in your chest. This was the same Blaise who had driven you crazy for years, yet here he was, showing a side of himself that left you breathless.
Before you could open your mouth to respond he had already closed the distance between the two of you. His lips brushed against yours for a tentative kiss. His lips were soft and you found yourself clinging onto him, desperate for the sweet sensation that he filled you with. It was gentle at first before it increased with intensity. The pain you felt disappeared and all you could focus on was the beautiful man in front of you.
When he finally pulled back the both of you were breathless. His eyes searched yours as if he was looking for confirmation if he had read the situation correctly. You took a shaky breath, your mind reeling from the intensity of the kiss.
“Maybe we don’t hate each other as much as we thought.” Your voice was soft, a small smile playing on your lips as your hands loop around his neck, pulling him closer to you.
Blaise’s expression softened, his thumb tracing your jawline. “Maybe not.”
Silence enveloped you once again and this time it felt comforting. Blaise’s arms felt right around you, his warmth radiating off his body making you feel that much more safe. There was no longer the crackling animosity between the two of you.
Hi Yves, thank you for writing such great fics for us! I noticed you haven’t written anything for Blaise so is it ok to request for him?

//
There was no longer the crackling animosity between the two of you.
summary: in which soonyoung struggles to ask you out on a date.
warnings: none!
a/n: if you saw the first post u didn't cuz tumblr made a mess of it and now i gotta repost it TT
"Jihoon!" A voice hissed from behind him. "Jihoon, here! Behind you!" He spun around to face...a bush.
"When did plants learn how to talk?"
"It's me you idiot!" A hand shot out grabbing Jihoon's arm, pulling him into the bush. Soonyoung had twigs, leaves and something that looked like a ladybug but no one could ever be so sure. He was fiddling with the hem of his sweater, his cheeks bright red. “I just saw Y/n!”
“So?” Soonyoung’s eyes bulged incredulously like Jihoon was supposed to know why his best friend looked like he had been living in the wild for a week.
“Jihoon, you don’t just reply with ‘so’ and make it some question. You should know this!” Soonyoung shook his friend by his shoulders, squishing his cheeks painfully. “Obviously it’s because I saw her walk by and obviously I went up to talk to her but obviously I fell. I don’t even know how I fell and I was going to stand back up and continue to talk to her but she was already gone. And I have this huge stain.” He pointed to the brownish green patch on his white cotton sweater. “Everything’s just a mess!”
“Okay first of all, calm down Shakespeare.” Jihoon rolled his eyes, picking his best friend up. He tugged the sweater over Soonyoung’s head. “You could’ve just taken this off, you’ve got a shirt underneath anyway. And it’s been a week and you still haven’t asked her out?”
“Well, it’s hard alright.” Soonyoung nibbled his bottom lip. “Also Mingyu’s always around her and I can never seem to get her alone.”
“Now you’re just making excuses.”
Jihoon knew his best friend. He knew Soonyoung. If Soonyoung wanted something he’d probably fight the world for it. He remembered that one time he’d been so desperate to win Mario Kart against Jihoon that he’d dumped his water all over him. Jihoon was positively fuming, not because he’d lost but because Soonyoung had gotten his favourite shirt wet.
Needless to say, Kwon Soonyoung would eat avocados for the rest of his life if it meant he’d get to ask you out. That was why it was weird that the guy who could probably fight zombies single handedly in an apocalypse couldn’t ask a cute girl out.
“Hey what’s this?” Jihoon reached for the piece of paper hanging out of Soonyoung’s pocket. The boy flushed red, trying to grab the paper back from Jihoon. When he realised it was no use he slumped back a pout evident on his face.
“You’re not allowed to judge me-”
“You really are a dork.” Jihoon snorted, examining the A3 piece of paper with ‘ASKING Y/N OUT’ scrawled on the top in big black marker. The page was filled with annotations and little diagrams that were all coloured in neatly. All the possibilities were drafted out, some more silly than others. “You were thinking of taking her to NASA?!”
Soonyoung’s ears burned. He squirmed. “I mean it’s always a possibility but I think that would kind of ruin me.”
Jihoon watched as his best friend avoided his gaze, fingers anxiously fiddling with the hem of his shirt. He smiled. He’d never seen Soonyoung this nervous to ask a girl out. It was oddly endearing. He continued to scan the paper, a little shocked that Soonyoung had put so much effort into this plan.
So this was definitely not a little crush.
//
“Okay listen.” Jihoon grabbed Soonyoung’s shoulders. They were currently outside the classroom you were in. He had devised this plan perfectly so that Soonyoung would actually ask you out without embarrassing himself. “Y/n’s going to come out here in approximately five minutes. You’re going to walk up to her and say ‘are you free this Saturday?’ and then she’ll say yes and then BAM instant date!” He clapped his hands together for exaggerated effect.
“Jihoon, where are my flowers? And I can't be wearing this!” Soonyoung grabbed his black hoodie. “I can’t ask Y/n out like this. We need a suit and I need roses and some type of confectionery to win her over!”
Jihoon blinked like an owl. C-Confectionary?! Who the hell speaks like that anymore? Clearly Soonyoung had been watching too many romance movies. “You don’t need flowers or some fancy clothes to win Y/n over. You just need you, she likes you, not some dolled up Barbie.”
“It’s actually Ken who’s the main male-”
“Oh look here she comes.” He pushed Soonyoung hard. The poor boy stumbled clumsily, promptly bashing into you. He had to stop doing that. “Go get her!” Was all Soonyoung heard before he felt his soul die.
You held Soonyoung steady. A small giggle left your lips. He blushed. You were even cuter today. Which was normally impossible but you were obviously special. The sweet smile you gave him nearly had him fainting.
What was it Jihoon had said again? Oh yes, ask you out. He could do this.
“Did you need something Soonyoung?”
Your voice was gentle and soft like a marshmallow. He could feel himself melting just at your words. Nope can’t do this. Soonyoung nearly spun around but when he caught sight of Jihoon’s deadly glare he retreated. Jihoon wasn’t someone you wanted to get angry. Guess he was going to have to do this.
“I...um…” He waved his arms around pathetically. It didn’t help that you were looking at him so innocently. “T-This Saturday you free...?” Soonyoung wanted the ground to swallow him whole. His cheeks burn bright red and he coughs. Not only did he completely butcher the English language but his voice cracked. Cracked!
“I’m free this Saturday.” You grinned, eyes twinkling. Soonyoung felt his heart flutter. “I’ll text you okay?” You tucked a piece of paper into his hand before waving at him as you caught up to Mingyu. He watched as the two of you talked, you bursting into a fit of giggles, blushing.
The whole situation had happened so quickly it had made his head spin. A loud smack on his back brought Soonyoung back to reality. Jihoon stood behind him with a proud grin on his face.
“Now we’ve just got to get you through this date.”
//
Soonyoung checked his watch for what felt like the upteenth time. It read, 11:13. He had said to meet him at 11 o’clock but maybe he was just early. Maybe you were stuck in traffic or something. He had spent about half an hour picking his outfit, with help from Jihoon of course because he could never decide on anything.
It did look a little pathetic. Soonyoung sighed. Did you stand him up? You wouldn’t be that mean, would you?
“Soonyoung!” You were panting behind him, looking as if you had just run a marathon. Your chest heaved. “I'm so sorry. I lost track of time and everything kind of just went haywire-”
“I-It’s okay.” Soonyoung squeaked, wringing his hands. His eyes tried not to drift towards your chest. You were wearing a bright yellow sundress that hugged your body, little flowers dotted all over. The thin straps on your shoulders were tied in little bows at the top. He swallowed.
“You’re not upset?” Your eyes were wide. The familiar scent of your jasmine perfume wafted to Soonyoung's nose and he shook his head. He could never be upset with you, that’d be ridiculous. You smiled. “Well, where are we heading?”
He gave you a small grin. To say that Soonyoung has connections with people was an understatement. He had connections with everyone. That sounded a bit weird but everyone knew Soonyoung. It wasn’t like the town was small or anything, he was just known by everyone. Even the grumpy old lady that sold newspapers knew him.
Now normally he would have a plan for this, it was all written down. Sadly, Jihoon had ripped it up and threw it in the bin. Apparently having a plan was lame. Totally untrue, it was great to be prepared.
“It’s a surprise.”
//
“Oh my god!” You nearly tumbled to the ground at your shock. “How did you even manage to get in here? Isn’t this the Hong’s?”
In front of you were rows beyond rows of strawberry bushes. The field seemed to stretch on forever. There was only one family in town that owned so many acres of land, the Hongs. You’d met their son, Joshua Hong, a couple of times at campus but everyone knew their strawberry fields were off limits.
“My mum’s friends with Mrs Hong, used to go over to hers every week with apple pie. Me and Shua were friends for a while but then he got caught up in music and me, dancing. We still talk and I was lucky enough to get us in.” Soonyoung shrugs. “And it’s strawberry picking season.”
“Most boys would bring their date out to a fancy restaurant.” You picked a strawberry, popping into your mouth, savouring the sweet taste. “I have a feeling I’m going to enjoy this.”
Soonyoung tried not to smile too wide. He couldn't contain his excitement. At first he wanted to take you to a lot of places in one day but Jihoon had said it was impossible to take you to the cinema, zoo, aquarium, ice cream shop and laser tag in 24 hours. So he settled on strawberries. Everyone loved strawberries, plus it was free because he knew Joshua.
You slowly intertwined both of your fingers, holding his hand. Soonyoung felt his cheeks flare an embarrassing red as his eyes trailed down to both of your clasped hands. He felt his heart beat rapidly in his chest. There wasn’t a lot he could do but try not to faint.
A small smirk crept up on his lips as he handed you a basket. “We’ll make a deal.”
“A deal?” You looked at him confused, taking the basket. “What do you mean?”
“Let’s say, whoever picks the most strawberries decides where we’re having lunch and they pay as well.”
“Chivalry really is dead.” You rolled your eyes. If Kwon Soonyoung wanted to bet that he would pick more strawberries than you, then he best be prepared for war. You contemplated the thought. If you were to win you’d probably empty his pockets but if he won he would empty your pockets. It’s a 50/50 chance.
You must have stayed silent for a tad too long because Soonyoung grew worried.
“W-We don’t have to if you don't want to-”
“Fine. No rules, just as many as we can pick.” You shook his hand, a playful grin on your face. “Be prepared to lose Kwon.” You dashed away.
“Hey, you’re cheating!”
“No rules remember!”
Soonyoung stood still, mouth open like a goldfish. He finally snapped out of it, chasing after you, determined to win. There was no way he was going to let you beat him.
Or maybe he will.
//
Soonyoung grasped his basket tightly. It was already nearly full with ruby red strawberries. No doubt they were sweet and juicy. He hadn’t seen you since you left him and it was slightly worrying. Hopefully you were fine. Hopefully.
"Y/n?" He calls over the bushes. No reply. Soonyoung trudged forward, still looking for you. A twig snapped from behind him. "Y/n?" He spun around only to see you reaching a hand inside his basket plucking a strawberry and stuffing it into your mouth.
"They're really yummy, I should thank Joshua when I see him." You giggled, turning to flee again but this time Soonyoung grabbed your hand. A small squeak escaped your lips.
"Don't you dare run away." His tone was light and teasing. You shrieked when he popped one of your strawberries into his mouth. "No rules remember." He smirked, playfully flicking your forehead. You threw a strawberry at him which he dodged. You pelt another and another. One hits him and you stifle your laughs.
Soonyoung pulled you forward and you shut up. He leaned forward, breath fanning your face. You instinctively fluttered your eyes shut.
"I'll see you later." He whispered, causing you to snap open your eyes, mouth dropping to the ground. You watched dumbfounded as he ran away. What happened to the shy Soonyoung?
//
“I only lost because you ate all of mine.” You pouted, folding your arms defiantly. It wasn’t your fault that he was so devastatingly cute that you just had to offer him some of your strawberries. He stole them from you, even if he insisted that you gave them willingly.
“You’re in denial Y/n.” Soonyoung skipped happily next to you, swinging his full basket. Your pout deepened. “Now where’s the most expensive place to have lunch?” He pulled his phone out, tapping a few times before a smug grin took over his face.
“You’re going to empty my pockets.” You whined.
Soonyoung grinned. “Come on we’ve got to catch the train otherwise we’ll be late. I’ll pay for the tickets.” A small smile flitted across your face before it reverted back into a pout. You huffed, letting Soonyoung clasped your hand as the two of you walked away. “If it makes you feel any better, you can have my strawberries.”
“I just wanna know what was with the personality change back then?”
His cheeks flushed bright red. “I can be confident too…”
“Don’t doubt it. I’ve seen you dance.” The look he gives you has you rolling your eyes. “You’re a totally different person when you’re in the studio.”
His cheeks flushed bright red again causing you to burst into a fit of giggles.
//
“So what you’re saying is that the bill is too expensive and right now you’re hiding in the bathroom and, might I remind you, you left poor Soonyoung to fend for himself.” Mingyu said through the phone.
“It sounds worse when you say it aloud.”
“You can’t just ditch him Y/n, what are you going to do, climb out a window and escape?” He hissed. You stared at the tiny window at the back. If you did it right you could squeeze through. “If you’re thinking about climbing out of a window I will stop feeding you my brownies.”
“Hey hey hey. No need to deprive my need for brownies Gyu, have some respect.” He snorted, muttering under his breath. “I can still hear what you’re saying.”
“Good.”
Okay maybe running inside the bathroom and hiding in a stall wasn’t going to solve all of our problems. But the bill was hefty and you would probably land yourself in prison if you did manage to pay for it. Also you couldn’t climb out of the window because you really did need those brownies.
“I want you to go out there and say you can’t pay for it and ask Soonyoung to pay for it.”
“Gyu are you crazy?”
“You’re the one in a bathroom stall, not me.” And with that he hung up leaving you alone. You could do this. It was not that hard, not that hard.
Soonyoung was still sitting at the table where you left him but this time all the plates had been cleared and he was staring at his phone. He looked up and smiled. “Thought you were gonna do something illegal. Don’t worry, I paid for everything.”
“D-Did you rob a bank before we came here?” Your mouth was hanging open. That was the only option, unless he really did have enough money but everyone your age was practically broke so…
Soonyoung chuckled, shaking his head. “You didn’t actually think I was going to let you pay for all of that? You’re cute.”
You were left gaping as he took your hand. What just happened? He said your line, your line. You were meant to call him cute. Soonyoung seemed to sense how confused you were because he shot you a dazzling smile.

//
//
//
Soonyoung seemed to sense how confused you were because he shot you a dazzling smile.
summary: in which you're a flustered mess around theo nott and he absolutely adores it.
warnings: none!
a/n: *screams* i just combust every time i write for theo but this piece especially has me just screaming at the cuteness!!!
Everyone who went to Hogwarts knew who Theodore Nott was. It wasn’t hard to miss the dark chestnut hair that would fall in his eyes and the charming smirk that he always wore. Theodore Nott was gorgeous and he knew it. His popularity often led to him being the topic of most conversations and a receiver of many love confessions. Girls would flock to him and try their best to twirl their hair and flirt with the Slytherin but all they were met with was indifference.
Theodore Nott would tune out their obnoxious laughter and shrill squeals. He would stare blankly at them, reject their advances without a care in the world. Word got around that the infamous Theodore Nott was seemingly unreachable. His unattainability only made him that much more interesting to everyone else.
You were blessed, as some would say, to sit next to Theo during Charms. Flitwick had randomly assigned the seating at the start of the year and you got stuck with Theodore Nott. He wasn’t bad at the subject by any means it just got a bit overwhelming with all the stares and whispers that were directed at your partner. You weren’t one for attention or drama, always preferring to hide in the shadows and not be seen. Sitting next to Theo didn’t exactly grant you that freedom.
Theodore Nott was handsome. So so so handsome. You couldn’t deny your attraction and as much as you tried to push it down you often found yourself staring. The slope of his nose and the angled jaw. His eyes that pulled your attention away from anything else. You would watch as he scrawled his notes onto the parchment. His quill would glide effortlessly without hesitation and you often would forget to take your own notes. You couldn’t help but feel your heart pound whenever he spoke to you or whenever he would offer you even the tiniest smile.
“Hey Y/n you free after dinner tonight?”
The boy beside you drawled with his chin in his hands. He looked at you expectedly and you blinked at him confused.
“Sorry?”
“Were you not listening? We have an assignment together, I was asking if you were free so we could get started.” He smirked as if he knew you had been watching him all this time. You felt your cheeks heat up and you spluttered for words. Theo chuckled as he shoved his things into his bag, still waiting for your answer.
“Yeah I’m free tonight.” You mumbled, refusing to look at him. You felt your heart race and you gulped. “Wait where are we meeting up?”
It was then that you realised looking up was a huge mistake because Theo’s face is mere inches away from yours and you felt yourself flush scarlet at the proximity. You blink like a deer caught in headlights trying to calm your own rapidly beating heart. Theo grinned. He tilted his head to the side as if he wasn’t doing anything wrong. Words died on your tongue and your eyes locked with his and you felt butterflies erupt in your stomach.
It was all too much. Way too much.
You cleared your throat, backing away in your seat as far as you could. Theo bit back another smile as he finally leaned back into his seat again. You felt lightheaded from what had just happened and you looked over at the Slytherin only to find him already staring at you causing your eyes to bulge out of their sockets and for you to turn away quickly.
“W-Where did you say?”
“The library of course, I’d bring you to my dorm but don’t you think it’s a bit too soon for that principessa?”
Even if you couldn’t see Theo Nott you definitely could imagine his trademark smirk that would spread across his face whenever he was feeling smug with himself. His words registered in your mind finally and you let out a squeak at the implication before quickly throwing your stuff in your bag and saying a goodbye.
You darted down the hallway, desperate to get away from your seatmate and to your dorm. Theodore Nott had always been like this with you. All smiles and suggestive comments. Your heart couldn’t take his charming grin and angelic laugh. Ever since you had quietly greeted him back in September he had stuck by you and you really didn’t know why. You weren’t popular by any means and you had no pureblood connection that would be of any use so you weren’t sure why Theodore Nott had taken such an interest in you.
His words filled your head once more and you felt your whole body heat up at the memory. You flopped down onto your bed, groaning into the pillow as you tried your hardest to calm yourself down. You just knew tonight was going to be so much worse.
//
“-and I was thinking that we could also talk about non verbal spells since- are you listening to me Y/n?”
You snapped out of your thoughts only to see Theo’s brows furrowed and his lips pulled into a frown. The library was fairly quiet and the two of you had picked a secluded corner to ensure no one would disturb the two of you. Your eyes drifted to the textbook in front of the two of you and you blinked blankly towards your partner.
“Sorry I wasn’t paying attention, what were you saying about non verbal spells?”
Theo smiled and you felt your heart flutter at the sight. His eyes seemed to twinkle more in the warm lighting and you told yourself that you needed to stop having these ridiculous thoughts. Everyone knew that Theodore Nott had no interest in dating anyone much less you.
“You seem to be daydreaming a lot today Y/n, I’m honestly hurt that you haven’t been paying attention to what I’ve been saying.” Theo pouted but you could see the mirth that spread across his face. He leaned towards you and your eyes widened. “What’s got you so distracted today hm?”
He was so close to you. Too close even. You could smell the familiar citrusy scent that he always wore. It felt warm, you didn’t know if that was possible, but he smelt like what you imagined home would be. The slightly sweet but earthy scent invaded your senses and you felt your brain melt.
Your eyes search his face. The sharp cheekbones and jawline contrasted with the smooth curve of his lips. His dark tousled hair that you couldn’t help but imagine running your fingers through his curls. His long eyelashes framed his beautiful grey eyes. The soft glow of the lamp highlights his complexion and you continue to stare, completely mesmerised.
“Nothing…I just have a lot on my mind.” You replied awkwardly, hoping that he didn’t sense that you were lying.
“Hmm…well I’m always here to talk.” Theo folded his arms as he leant onto the wooden desk in front of the both of you. He buried his head into his arms before turning to the side to look at you, a cheeky grin spreading across his face. “But I guess we’d just be talking about me, wouldn’t we?”
Immediately you burst into flames and you tried to stutter out an excuse. You knew he had noticed your staring. There were only so many times you could get away with not paying attention in class. Then again, it was still mortifying to get caught.
A group of girls decided that that was the perfect time to walk past the two of you and you froze as they saw you and Theo together. They looked at you and then the Slytherin beside you. Your jaw hung open, gaping like a fish, unable to comprehend the multitude of events that were thrown at you. The girls mirrored your expression before scurrying off whispering loudly.
“Are they dating?”
“No way I didn’t actually think he was capable of liking someone.”
“Who is she anyway? I’ve never seen her around.”
You felt your heart race and you deflated in your chair, head in your hands. This was not meant to happen. You felt a tap on your shoulder and you looked up to see Theo. His smile wasn’t on his face anymore, now replaced with a worried look.
“Are you okay?”
“What? Of course not!” You cried out softly. “Everyone’s going to think I’m your girlfriend and it’s going to spread across the whole of Hogwarts by tomorrow morning. And and…” You groaned, putting your head back into your hands, too overwhelmed by everything that was happening.
Silence spread across the two of you.
“Would that be so bad?” Theo’s voice broke the quiet. You looked up, startled by his words. “Dating me, that is.”
“T-That’s not what I meant-” You stammered, scrambling for an apology, but Theo interrupted you.
“I don’t smile and flirt with just anyone you know. You’re special to me Y/n. I like you, a lot.”
He was looking at you now, his eyes filled with a warmth you had mistaken for amusement. His gaze was soft and filled with affection, a small smile playing on his lips. Your cheeks heated up at his unexpected confession. Your heart pounded, and you gripped your fingers, searching for the right words to say.
“Do you like me too?”
Try as you might you couldn’t find any words to express your emotions or your feelings towards Theodore Nott. All you could muster was a nod as an answer to his question. Theo laughed as he reached for your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. He tugged you closer to him and once again you were face to face with Theodore Nott.
“I want to hear you say it principessa. Tell me how much you fancy me.”
He was doing it on purpose. He knew exactly what to do and what to say to get you completely flustered and a blushing mess for him. And you would be a fool to say it wasn’t working.
“Theo I...” You whispered finally finding your own voice. “I really like you Theodore Nott, I really really like you.”
A bright beam graced Theo’s face and he pressed his forehead against yours, hugging your body close to his. You wrapped your arms around his waist, melting into his touch. Theo pulled back as he placed a kiss on your cheek. You blinked before you felt yourself heat up at his affectionate action. You buried your face in his chest, embarrassed at your flustered state.
“You’re so adorable.” Theo chuckled as he embraced you tightly. “I really really like you too Y/n L/n.”
