I got bored so I decided to try and imagine what Thomas and Guy-Man’s instagram would look like in the late 90s. It’s quite hard to find good unmasked pictures that’s why they’re not all from the same years.

I feel like Thomas would try and make his account look aesthetic and cool and he would basically follow back anyone who followed him. Whereas Guy-Man would rarely use his account, he would rarely post pictures where he’s alone, and he would only follow the people he knows in real life.

Thomas’s bio says “I make music… sometimes. Apparently we are “daft punks” and Guy-Man’s says “I don’t know how to use instagram. Often with @/tbangalter, rarely at school”

Yeah I didn’t really have any ideas for their bios but I feel like it kind of match their personnality (I guess?)

Today is the 20th anniversary of daft punk’s second album, “Discovery”. Millions of us around the world are United today through the power and magic of music, as we listen to this timeless album and reflect fondly of all the joy we’ve experienced. I can still remember watching the video for “one more time” on mtv when I was 11 and being so mystified. I can remember the first time I listened to “harder better faster stronger” on headphones, I was walking to meet someone and had to stop in my tracks because I and was like “what the hell how is this so amazing???”

I know this piece of art means so much to so many people, and I guess I should stop rambling, but yeah. Just turn on the music, I still feel the same excitement in my heart when I hear it now as when I did all those years ago. I love you, daft punk! I hope Thomas and Guyman are having a wonderful life wherever they are. Thank you for giving me so joy, you’ve given me too much to feel 😜
