It would have been your 37th year wedding anniversary today. There’s a fair share of happiness and sadness through out those years, roughly 22 yrs together, can’t say both blessed with faith but somehow you manage to really be always there like your favorite song Through the Years. You stayed 32 yrs.. i can’t remember when you weren’t there.. without that unity, there is no Anne.. It’s not happy ending but I am still grateful. I’ve learned the limits of love and witness your pure and selfless love that is one for the books. You always quote.. “They are no longer two but one. Mikaela made this for Mother’s Day. She told me to pick one whenever I feel tired or low. Today, we went early morning to Walmart.. she’s excited to finally see the outside world 😂 and she was wearing a mask and constantly checking if its in the right position. She’s growing up fast.. Her eyes always on her phone or TV and ears with AirPods teasing her little siblings or chasing them around. The new normal seems to help her more to bond with her siblings well, learn chores and sense of responsibility. I always question my self if I did good each day.. this simple gift is just one of the reasons why being a mother rocks! The reward is, no matter how you feel about yourself, there will always be 3 little versions of you that makes you feel a lot better. Tuwing birthday ko, tumatawag si Ina sa akin at kinakantahan ako ng happy birthday. Nakakausap ko si Ina ng 2-3 times a day noong andito pa siya sa States at usually an hour long each time. Mga balita sa TFC, tsismis about artista, Probinsyano o kaya kung sino ang namatay sa Mendez. 😂 Palagi na niya ngayong binibisita ang bunso namin. Habang nagkaka edad ako, lalo kong hinahangaan ang lola ko. Lagi kong sinasabi sa sarili ko na sana maging katulad ko din siya sa mga anak, apo, at manugang. Hindi siya kumukupas at laging di nagsasawa sa amin. Kahit walang matira sa kanya basta lahat kami ay meron. One time, someone told me I have an angel that’s been praying for me, aside from my Papa.. she is still alive and she never once forget to say a prayer for my family. Like today, as always, birthdays for her should be as simple as going to church and say a prayer and giving thanks for another year. Miss na kita Mader, gusto ko muna umuwi para makabonding ka.
