André couldn’t help but admire this man now. Not everyone would be such a kind soul to take in the stray cats and take care of them. It was just admirable. This could only mean that Kevin might have really lost and lots of cats. For someone like André that sounded just wonderful. So many sweet animals on one spot.

Leon nodded to his precaution about him treating her injuries. “No worries, I’ll be able to handle it.” She spoke. This wasn’t the first time the alcohol was put on her wounds, do her words should be trustworthy enough.

André gave a short nod, and would put some of the alcohol on the cloth. Then carefully he tapped on the injury, trying to cause her as little pain as possible while cleaning the wound from the dirt.

A soft chuckle from the ghost, and he walked slowly closer to the child. Not like it was rare that children would want to go out. Though André did wonder why the boy would wanted to go out even though it had been obvious by the clouds that it’s going to rain.

“ I guess we’ll keep each other some company then until the rain stops. I’m André, and who’re you small child? “

      he noted the other’s claws that seemed to drain away in a split second, rolling his eyes at the attempt at a threatening posture. he was and never would be afraid of a silly little spirit. he certainly wasn’t one of those ‘ soul-eating demons ‘,  but he has at least destroyed his fair share of souls and sent them to Hell.

      “ hmph! whatever, you’re not worthy enough to use my power on. “ he replied with a huff, crossing his arms over his chest. “ no. i’m pretty sure you just don’t have a sense of humor. it’s more than obvious that you don’t have one. “

Not worthy enough? Well, not like André wanted the other to use his powers on him. So yeah, he was okay with that. Not like he cared what some damn demon thought about him. They could all go back to hell and rot there alone, for all he cared.

“ Or just a different sense of humor. Not everyone would enjoy your tasteless pranks. And I would appreciate you leaving me alone, before your stupid words make me want to go deaf too. “

Either this was some form of psychological disorder or he was still trying to mess with the boy, yet the latter didn’t seem to fit into this scenario now. André was being too serious that trying to pretend he was something he wasn’t would’ve easily been proved wrong by now.

           Hmm.

           “I see.” The age talk was still rather feeding his ego though Ciel was an expert in hiding it. It was better to not be arrogant right now for it wasn’t necessary and really wouldn’t make him look prestigious as he wanted to appear. Though, lucky for him, the topic had been changed into another, one revolving around reading and how he looked like someone who enjoyed such a thing.

           Which really wasn’t far from the truth.

          “Yes. I find satisfaction from reading every once and a while. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to finish a book lately with all the work piling up on me.”

Weird, even at this age this boy already had to work a lot to not be able to read a book? Did times change so drastically for young people to have less free time? Or is this again just a reason why this boy seems so much older than he is?

“ What kind of books do you read though? I ,with my whole lot of free time, actually enjoy a lot of different genres and am always looking for recommendations. “
