Dare I say it, but in my opinion, Caine is some of the best representation Iโve seen for being autistic and a people pleaser.
Heโs says weird things without realising,
He is always trying to please his members with things he thinks theyโll like yet he never does it right due to the fact that heโs โnot like themโ ,
He has clear fixations on things such as Bees,
He starts falling apart/emotionally shutting down when things donโt go as planned.
Not to mention in the new trailer, we see him playing around with a couple of toys in his office, like a rubix cube and one of those metal bead things. Popular toys used for fidgeting.

So Iโve seen quite a few reactions to the N Corp scene at the end of the Canto, especially in terms of the Prosthetic Purge. However, I havenโt seen a lot of people bring up Jacob specifically.
We got a little bit about Heinric Kromer (also the irl writer of the Malleus Maleficarium), but we have just about nothing on Jacob. (yet)
Soo, we might as well look for ourselves.
Jacob (also known as Israel) is a figure from the Book of Genesis, which has been prominent since just about the beginning of Project Moon. While his main symbol is Jacobโs Ladder, heโs also known for being the progenitor of the Twelve Tribes of Israel through his sons, who I think are going to be important for his upcoming role.
In order of age, they go:
Reuben
Simeon

Joseph
Benjamin
The sons specifically are highlighted in the story surrounding Joseph, in which all the brothers (except Benjamin and technically Reuben) plot to kill him before selling him into slavery, which leads to Joseph ending up in Egypt. They donโt reunite until a famine ravages the land, forcing the brothers to make the journey to Egypt where they come across Joseph, who became the Pharaohโs chief advisor. To purchase grain from him, the brothers were forced to return home from Egypt and retrieve their youngest brother Benjamin, to Jacobโs dismay. After an incident in which Benjamin is arrested, the brothers beg for his freedom, eventually culminating in Joseph revealing himself and reconciling with his brothers.
This also isnโt the first time we have biblical references directly found within the characters, Dias, Moses, and Ezraโs names come from the Book of Exodus and currently the PMoon story is building off of Distortion Detective. So itโs likely theyโre jumping through other parts of the Bible.(Well technically Dias should be Ramesses but Ozymandias is another name for him) It is notable that a lot of Distortion Detective also happens in N Corp.
Now currently, all of Jacobโs sons' names are unused but one. Specifically, Benjamin.
As I hope every Lobcorp or Ruina fan knows, Benjamin was the original identity of the Sephirah Hokma (the best one why do you think Iโm making this post? ๐) who we also know little to nothing about from his time before joining the Cogito experiments. At least some of the other sephirot explained moments of their past, but we donโt really have much on him at all. Perhaps theyโre finally giving us something on him now.
We knew that he was from a nest and probably a type of super genius (often getting overshadowed by Carmen and Ayin unfortunately) so itโs possible that heโs from N Corp, which notably has prestigious universities. And living in such a strict wing might be why heโs said to possibly come off as a snob in Lobcorp.
So as a Director, Jacob definitely has a lot of power and connections, especially if his appearance at a board meeting signifies a major change. We can actually jump back to the mentions of the Smoke War for this.
Itโs still pretty unclear how Dias got persuaded to help out Lobotomy Corporation, but we do know that Benjamin was the one to contact her, notably not Ayin. We also know from Distortion Detective that Dias seemingly has the ability to later get Vespaโs position as a Taboo Hunter back at some point, considering thatโs why he started helping Moses and Ezra. I wouldnโt be shocked if Benjamin may have flaunted his status in a Wing specifically to meet with Dias. (He would do anything for that man lol)
If I am correct with them using Jacob and his sons once we reach N corp, then thereโs definitely going to be an effect of Benjaminโs absence present considering how important he is to his father and his brothers in Genesis.
Perhaps Jacob himself was bereaved by his sonโs mysterious disappearance with the founding of Lobotomy Corporation?
(wow who could that be?)
Would also make sense if a relative of Benjamin has a hand in the Second Smoke War considering Dias was mentioned again as well.
Jacob may not have a direct connection to the Inquisitors who may start the SECOND Smoke War since Sonya didnโt comment on him but his importance definitely came from somewhere.
Also apparently heโs difficult to talk to and that feels like heโd act similar to someone who would talk to a drunk person like this
So in general, I think itโs entirely possible that Jacob, who we have yet to meet, might tie back to Benjamin.
IF we meet Jacob and he has gray hair and green eyes, resembling a certain Sephirah, I actually might go out and cheer on the streets no joke.
This post will discuss spoilers for Canto 9 Part 3 (after the pagebreak) and Metamorphosis itself. After a bit of reflection of the new material that was given to us of Limbus' Gregor and Kafka's Metamorphosis, I further see the vision PM has for it's Gregor's symbolism.
First though, it's best to reflect on The Metamorphosis and the contexts surrounding it. Kafka made it as a reflection of industrial society and the burden disability could cause even amongst ones own family. That burden, Kafka saw, sowed a deep disdain amongst even those that love them, because they could no longer serve the system and perpetuate the role they have. Alongside this, Kafka also had a strenuous relationship with his father, which is reflected in the book by the disgust of Gregor's newly found condition and explored in the publicized letter to him.
As someone disabled myself, though not physically like Gregor's condition is supposed to represent, I understand and can relate to that fear of oneself and the dejection from one's own loved ones that Kafka poured into his work. So much of the book emphasizes that same loss of self-worth that many disabled people feel, and looking back on my first read with that lens makes me shiver. In lieu of this, analyzing Limbus' Gregor further after his moment and what it represents in the work gave me that same feeling of sympathy and despair.
UNGEZIEFER KAISER, The Vermin Emperor, is what I believe to be representative of KJH's view of his own mental disability, Bipolar Disorder (link to the interview where he discusses it), and the internalized view of mental disabilities as whole. The Emperor lays dormant as this raging, powerful force, and it is tucked away underneath a normal, low-energy person. Despite that though, it will always haunt Gregor, always being a part of him, his arm always some sort of reminder of that difference. It's clear that this can be viewed as a metaphor for Manic-Depressive Bipolar Disorder, and along with KJH's known emotional instability, I can see he why wants to represent his Mania as this overpowering, sprawling force of destruction.
I find myself being struck so deep by this representation, because It's the all same self-disdain and fear I'd put in a representation of my own disabilities if I had the chance. The transformation of Kafka's original work into this is so potent, acting both as a modernization with today's further focus on mental health and disability and as a piece of his own soul clear for anyone to see.
There's also hints of how he seemed to have it passed down from his mother, and how he sees it as the root of most of his mother's abuse. This can be seen in how it is a "gift" from Hermann that is slowly revealed layer by layer as he goes forward in life, a metaphor for how you can never escape the blood instilled in you by your parents. No matter how much you despise them, how much they've hurt you, they will always haunt you in blood, form, and mind.
Beyond this, there's also the statement from Vergilius where he gives dreams to those that are not meant to dream, but this seems more to refer to the war machine that Gregor was made for rather than as his role as a representative for the mentally disabled. There could be a connection to how KJH views madness within greatness, and the greatness of many neurodivergent people in the past, obvious or otherwise, was used to fuel war and hatred. This however needs further development of Gregor's story before any conclusive connection is made.
To conclude, I want to speak again of how, to me at least, beautiful this is as an evolution of the Metamorphosis and the message within it. The pain and suffering of disability, the disdain, the doubt, the fear of oneself. It's all so clear in the fight with the emperor and in the context of Gregor's previous moments, and I can't wait to see how this is developed in the future with him. Suddenly, one day, we'll all be in disbelief again, as a man loses his wits over the unstable core within him.
