Self-doubt Headcanon #3. Same Korra, same.
Enjoy, patronustrip
“i’m heading to bed, goodnight ☺️”
me in bed:
…and I’m still shipping it and missing Lexa.
Clexa was the ship of dreams, and it was, it really was.
I will love her forever
When you finish reading a really long fic and don't know what to do with yourself
i have two approaches to canon
So if we extrapolate from this one-off line in episode fifteen, as well as this tweet by the creator and the answers given at this comic con panel from 2014, we can infer that this character’s relationship with salad is more complex than it first appears …
*pulls down sunglasses and points a flamethrower at the source material* Death of the author, baby.

Don’t ask me no personal shit like this
Clarke could only recall one other time she had felt so angry.
It had been in this very building, and it was Lexa who caused it then too.
When Anya had forced a bound Clarke to confront the Commander for the first time since she abandoned her on Mount Weather, Clarke was sure her whole body would erupt into flames from the rage alone. She didn’t think it was possible to ever feel wrath like it again.
That same feeling licked at her skin now though, the hot, unpleasant feeling itching under it as she marched towards the Commander’s room. It felt like her teeth were about to grind down to the nerves. She longed for the pain, the jolt of focus it would give her swirling thoughts.
Lexa knew.
She knew the coalition was starting to revolt against her. And she knew it was Clarke’s fault. Even if Clarke hadn’t intended it, this was the result of choices she made. Lexa had said nothing to her, given Clarke no warning of the political battlefield she was about to be used as a pawn on. Instead, Lexa had chosen to use Clarke for herself too. Given her back her fathers watch and told her it was just to keep the burden of having to provide for the other leaders off her shoulders.

I absolutely love what you are doing with Clarke and Lexa in nous, putting them at odds is something I have never read in Clexa and I am on the edge of my seat. I love how slow it has naturally developed. That cliff hanger was killer but I get it. The way you are putting little choices that add up to create bigger problems really highlights how one little lie can stretch into a bigger problem in a relationship. And then with the grounder seeing her as a rival to heda. It's a dynamic I haven't seen and her being unwilling. It's all just so damned good and I am sooo excited to see where this goes and how they recover from it. I really love all your work so much. Thank you for creating it.
That's super kind of you to say, thank you so much for the message. I'm really enjoying writing this part of their dynamic and them navigating the "professional" Heda/Wanheda relationship vs the very personal Lexa/Clarke relationship.
This latest chapter (and the next one) are where all the little hints and little comments start to draw together into one big pile of "oh shit" for Clarke and Lexa. It's about to get wild :D
Anya’s room remained much the same as when Clarke had last seen it. Clarke knew Anya had only been in Polis for a short while, not much longer than Clarke herself had been, yet the room still felt like it belonged to her friend.
“It’s strange being here without her.” Clarke commented.
“Anya will return soon.” Lexa picked up one of the books Anya had left on a small shelf on the far side of the room. “This was the longest she had stayed in Polis.”
“Do you miss her?” Clarke asked curiously.
Lexa looked thoughtful for a moment. “No. To miss her would be…” Lexa paused again. “I know this time she will return.”
Whilst neither of them had given Clarke the full story, Clarke knew Anya’s parents had been murdered by Nia during one of the Ice Nations previous campaigns against the Commander and that Lexa had been the one to give the order to halt any counterattack. Whatever words and arguments had been exchanged afterwards had led to a time when Anya had avoided Polis and Lexa for years.
Clarke was well aware of how the pressures of being the Commander had forced Lexa into a life of near isolation. The duty to her people forever outweighing her feelings as an individual. Even Anya, the person who knew her best, had been driven away by Lexa’s obligation to the role.
“She’s a good person.” Clarke commented.

I just made this and figured I should share it with the world, not just one discord server.
Update for anyone coming here looking for the next Nous chapter: Got some solid writing done for it this week. It’s been a while since an update (opps), but now I’ve settled on what’s actually happening this chapter, I’m on a roll again.
It me.
So you’re only gonna watch the show because they are gay people in it??
