I haven’t been a big fan of the big ‘waffle post’ in the past but last few weeks/months I’ve been reflecting. In the photo on the left I was 17, finishing college and supposedly ‘happy’. I had lots of friends around me, some close and others not so close, and in a relationship that I thought was ‘the one’ (oh god that was a mistake!) but I look at that photo and don’t see happiness... I was lost, and didn’t know why but unhappy... and then life happened and I lost a close family member and one of my best friends, became depressed, drank A LOT and was addicted to a toxic relationship (the infamous BJ 🙃) I wouldn’t get out of... 8 years later now I can say I am HAPPY. I have amazing people around me, close with my family and proud of how far i’ve come. If anyone else feels lost, stuck, or like life is never going to get better - it does, just give it time and let it happen.
