One of the artists at the shop I work for is super cool and we’ve gotten pretty close. But her relationship is super toxic and she doesn’t even realize it. I’ve been in that exact same relationship. No affection, no support, no intimacy or common interests. She has convinced herself over and over that he is this way because ...’ or that way because .....’ and she doesn’t need affection she just wants to be with him.

I can just see it crashing and burning. Him leaving her because shes holding on so tight to something that isn’t bringing any positivity to her life.

But it isn’t my place to say anything. When I was in that situation it wouldn’t have mattered what anyone said to me. I had to learn on my own. I just hope she wises up soon.

Makes me even more grateful to be who I am today and to be a part of the relationship I have. Some people make it so hard on themselves.
