Alright, damn! The man wasn't hypothetical, it was my cousin who's trying to figure out why his friends seem to hate some part of him he thought was ok. It's my friend who can't wear what he wants out of the house for the same reason trans women are attacked in the street. It's about my dad who still has to pick when and wear he's allowed to talk about his sexuality. It's the trans guy at my old school who was worried he'd lose all that support he was so lucky to get just because he still likes dancing and the colour pink.

I'm speaking to the male perspective because that's the one I've had for the longest. But christ have I seen the women in my life take some serious shit just for liking male-coded stuff!

I'm not trying to suck all the air out of the room and I don't mean that cis people 'have it just as bad' or whatever. I just mean, I'd like for the trans people in my life to love and share the same world the cis people in my life and that means sharing interests without necessarily having the same attitude towards their identity.
