The school day had ended a while ago, and Wilson had been looking forward to going home and relaxing. However, he had completely forgotten about the team building meeting. He hated these meetings; they were completely pointless in his eyes. So, he had decided to simply sit in the corner with his cup of coffee.

There was also the fact that he brought his bird that day, as again, he had forgotten about the meeting. Really, that was the only reason he was able to sit out on this, which he was very thankful for. However, the creature had made a game of trying to drink his coffee, so he had to fight her off every few minutes which was rather frustrating. Of course she just found his frustration amusing, it would seem.

This continued, the man watching the others, fighting off his bird, and taking a swallow of his drink. Boy, did he want to go home.

He grabs a cigarette and brings it to his lips, dangling from the corner, he speaks before he lights it.

"What are you looking at?" 

Could be they simply wanted to bum one. Either way, he didn't like being stared at.
