Truthfully none of us are even asking for joy. We are just asking for a little peace. We are praying for the world to hurt us a little less, for our tired hearts to have a little rest.
-Nikita Gill
“Suddenly she realized that what she was regretting was not the lost past but the lost future, not what had not been but what would never be.”

“Admit it. You aren’t like them. You’re not even close. You may occasionally dress yourself up as one of them, watch the same mindless television shows as they do, maybe even eat the same fast food sometimes. But it seems that the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider.”

“Your future is either sinking sand or a solid rock, because you are what you are by the grace of God.”
— Holy Spirit to me (via koinohnia)
I’m sitting here alone, thinking about this crazy life…for me, for you, and then this Analogy comes to my mind….…When the whole world has flipped upside down and is going around and around uncontrollably. …When you feel like you are on the tilt-a-whirl at the most amusing carnival you’ve ever experienced…oh the sights and sounds are brilliant, it’s amazing…..but the spinning becomes uncontrollably sickening, around and around you go. There’s no stopping in sight-the ride that you chose to get on. The contents of your stomach are now rising up into your throat. Your head is spinning. Your heart is spinning. Your entire BEING is spinning. The only thing you can now think is that you NEED to expel everything that is within you that you’ve consumed at the Carnival. The thought is delightful…to just rid yourselves of the crud that is making you want to be sick. ….and then, the ride slowly gears down to a slow, ah relief for fleeting second, and it then gears down again slow enough to the point you can jump up and run from your position to escape the sickening spin…you run for the solid ground and vomit out the things you’ve consumed while pleasuring yourself at that Carnival of fun….your body is overcome by the Violent expressions of self to rid itself of waste…….at that moment there’s something deep within that rises up and tells you to never return. Will we listen?…and it makes me sick again to think that my precious God given soul would even think and know such a thing. It’s not what was meant for God’s children.
