I don’t know myself. I’ve seen all these tweets on twitter about it but cannot get a straight answer. I read that some Disney + representatives have accidentally announced that awae will stream on Disney +, and that Moira kept editing the same IG post but I couldn’t find anything concrete. So we’ll see tmr if that’s true

So apparently Disney + will add AWAE on their platform soon. Netflix and Moira have stopped calling season 3 the “final season”. More and more new viewers are demanding s4, including Ryan Reynolds, Sam Smith and William Shatner (not too shabby!). I don’t want to go ahead of myself, but we are definitely getting a renewal!!!

I wish that more actors had tumblrs even just secretly so that they could know that there are fans that actually appreciate them and don’t constantly want to attack them, like yeah there are some of those on here but I feel like tumblr fans have a better energy than the rabid Twitter stans that they constantly get bombarded with

The issue with LJZ's behavior is that while he is most definitely a victim of a very unhealthily vocal part of fandom, his lashing out and pointed comments in response are only exacerbating the issue. He keeps making terrible comments and putting people down and I don't blame him for that, but at the same time he has to understand that his platform means that he (unfortunately) is going to be held to different standards in relation to issues like this.

He sure can learn to do a better job at managing expectations from his fans bc unfortunately it’s a responsibility that also comes with fame. But the fans can also learn to move pass that too. He didn’t assault or slander anybody. He’s been blamed for hurting some people’s feelings, which imo is not something someone should be harassed for. So it goes both way.

Let’s remember that LJZ is only 19 and he’s dealing with the part of his fandom that is not much older (at least not in maturity). So it’s obvious that pettiness and insecurity would come out from both sides. Knowing that, I’ll just move on from that topic bc there’s no more argument to make, and will focus on how to bring the show back.

hot take: despite what Lucas might have done on some youtube video, I still feel bad for this TEENAGE BOY for whom a good experience (AWAE) was turned sour by an immature fanbase. yah sure he's acting out and it isn't pretty, but he's still pretty much the victim here. thoughts?

Regarding the immature fan base, I agree he’s the victim. So is his gf. I’ve read that they even broke up at some point bc the harassment was out of control for her. I’m glad they are back together now.

Concerning his teenage boy attitude, I don’t have an opinion on that. But that’s because I don’t care much about him personally. I only care about his work as Gilbert. So he can behave the way he wants as long as he’s not being inappropriate towards anybody. For some fans, it’s disappointing probably bc they expect a lot more from him. And he can certainly adopt a better professional attitude, but he’ll learn from this experience if he wants to protect his privacy and the people he cares about. He doesn’t have to interact with fans the way Amybeth does, but just knowing how to manage fans expectations so they’ll leave him alone would be good for him, I think.

Wait what’s going on in Twitter?

A video released on Shannon’s YouTube account shows Lucas and Shannon behaving like teenagers. Some fans got outraged by Lucas’ remark on how gross he thinks ship names are (especially for Shirbert). And others got upset at Lucas being disrespectful to Amybeth, when all he did was kissing Shannon right after she started saying “Amybeth”. There was another part where they listed the name of the cast members they get along with, and Amybeth was not mentioned. Honestly, just go watch the video (if it hasn’t been removed bc of all this shit show). You’ll forge your own opinion.

If you want my opinion, I think this video was boring at best and the jokes fell flat, but I didn’t see any disrespect towards Amybeth. He didn’t insult her or made any inappropriate remarks about her. He just didn’t acknowledge her. Knowing the recent events around fans harassing Shannon, I can understand that he tries to avoid some topics that could trigger fans in order to protect his gf. So for that part, I think the fans reactions are completely disproportionate. Now, regarding his remarks on certain things related to the AWAE fandom, I can understand how it offended some fans. He showed a pretty arrogant attitude throughout the video, but on the other hand it was not surprising to me. Lucas has never been into fan appreciation the way Amybeth is since the beginning, and his detachment with social media sends a clear message on how he values his privacy. Add on top of that all the shit his gf has been through with some immature fans, you can then understand why he’s so pissed. Some might argue that he should have handled that matter professionally bc fans made him successful, but again, given the context of the recent harassment, I’m not gonna blame him. He’s just turned 19 (today actually! Happy birthday LJZ!) and he reacted the same way as any other boy of his age would react.

Now, the scary part is that many so called “fans” went on his IG account to vent their anger with insults. Some have even created a petition to kill him off the show if the show gets renewed. So just imagine Lucas reading these comments on his birthday, what would he feel?

I don’t know you, but as much as I love AWAE, I’m not gonna watch it if there is no Gilbert. And I’m certainly NOT interested in seeing someone else than Lucas playing Gilbert.

So now you know the extent of the shit show performed by the so called loving members of our fandom.

AWAE S3e8 Spoilers - WTF just happened here??!

I’m not complaining about the episode, it was a fantastic one! We got to see Aunt Jo bringing some reason to Diana, only to realize that the only person who can truly convince Diana to change is…MINNIE MAY!

But that Shirbert moment! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!

Was Gilbert REALLY proposing Anne??! And Anne finally admitting she loves Gilbert? If so, then I’m VERY scared. Not that I don’t want them to be happy, I know they are end game! But it is way too early for a proposal compared to the book’s timeline. It feels too rushed! As if the writers would not expect to be back for a season 4!! 

OMG, can someone convince me I’m wrong??!! I won’t be able to sleep T_T
