The Og redhead: Lily Evans
my lord and savior: Ginny WeasleyĀ
With this spellbinding project, insanely talented artist @littlechmuraā wanted to create a self-contained moment for each of these beloved Harry Potter charactersāa single scene that gives a glimpse into their own magical worlds. Sheās calling the series āOne Breath Eachā, and weāre calling it GORGEOUS AF.
Here's an updated /slightly more realistic version of my Ginny because I am suffering from an art block and this is the only thing that turned out okayy
Severus Snape's father.
Tobias Snape was likely a veteran.
Tobias Snape was born early 1920s and was probably 14-19 years old when ww2 started in 1939.
The war lasted from 1939 to 1945, in which time Tobias definitely made it into the 18 to 41 age range at which british men were conscripted.
He spent at least 2 years as a soldier.
He came back and 15 years later he had Severus Snape.
Tobias might've dealt with PTSD and possibly drank quite a lot. He was definitely not a very pleasant man as it was hinted that he abused his wife and was neglectful towards Severus.
In my mind, Snape grew up with a extremely toxic masculine influence in his father and it made him afraid to show vulnerability and be himself openly.
Snape probably hates being called just Snape because that's what his dad was called and that's why he insists on be called Professor Snape.
Snape likely doesn't like the smell of muggle alcohol and doesn't like to drink too much. If he ever struggled with alcoholism he probably beat himself up all the time with 'i am just like my abusive father' thinking.
He dislikes violence and avoids raising his voice because it reminds him of his father. He never wants to be like his father.
I think Tobias likely had a 'you will never be worth anything' sort of thing towards Severus and that's what gave him the determination to prove himself to get back at his father. His father might be one of the reasons why Severus Snape is a Slytherin.
During the summer of 1996, Severus stumbled upon the Muggle machine at a flea market on his way to the shops. He remembers Mrs Evans using a similar model; as a child, he was deeply fascinated by the instrument.
He had accepted that he would not survive the war. It had been quite easy to come to terms with. Severus began to document all of his academic discoveries and inventions. He also worked on a book for teaching potions, inspired by a remark made by Minerva after she grew tired of listening to him complain about the current curriculum. It was a tedious process that helped him relax during the summers he had left. After finishing an academic report, he meticulously packaged it in a leather binder making it ready for publication after his death. Hopefully, others would benefit from his academic discoveries. He at least wanted his sorry existence to not be a complete waste of space.
Occasionally, he would also use the typewriter for poetry.
Based on a request byĀ @pommurĀ (made looooong ago), who wanted our favourite professor using Muggle tech. You can support me onĀ Ko-fiĀ if youād like ^^ I'd really appreciate it!
Once upon a time I read a fan fiction (and I lost it), in which, according to the plot, the Death Eaters found the Dursley's house. But as soon as they saw how Harry lives, they literally took pity: "Damn bitch, you live like this?", they seized his house and began to carouse and have fun. Harry ran around the house and tried to save the property: "NO! This vase is an antique!", but he also had to bring them beer and snacks so that they would not walk around the house once again and accidentally break anything on the way to the kitchen.

Snater: Snape watched her and her sister from behind bushes - that's stalking, he was a creep
Me: Snape was nine years old. That is one year older than what my son is now. If someone called my son a creep and an obsessed stalker for watching other kids play because he is still too shy to go and talk to them, I would go fucking mad!
Leave a nine year old child our of your 'Snape was obsessed' argument, find your Snape stalking obsessive behaviour evidence else where.
Uhhhh I have zero explanation for this piece other than Iāve been working on a fic where school Severus āaccidentally findsā Tom Riddleās diary during his fourth year. Will I actually successfully write said fic? That remains to be seen.
Btw in this, Tom, while able to share information with Voldemort and having a vague understanding of what has happened in the life of his future self is a separate consciousness. Long story short Voldemort really probably shouldnāt have left a rebellious teenage version of his soul. The entirety of this fic could be summed up with āwhen youāre so self oriented youāre willing to betray anyone including yourself.ā *insert spiderman pointing meme here.*

Nymphadora Tonks fancast
Lily Potter with her sister Petunia whilst both are pregnant asking why she didnāt attend her wedding to James.Ā
Young Lily and James Potter fancast. Both Julianne Moore and Hugh Grant star in a film in 1995 calledĀ ānine monthsā, I think these two work as fancasts as Harryās parents as both Grant and Moore are born in 1960 just like Lily and James and both bear a resemblance to them. Moore with her red hair, fair skin, pretty face and green eyes. Hugh with his thin face, cheeky smile, cocky British demeanour, charm, messy hair and glasses. What do you all think?
Fancast Lily (and james)
Young Julianne Moore and Lily Evans Potter -- what I like about this cast is both Julianne and Lily are actually born in 1960 are both green eyed red headed beauties. I dislike fancasts of characters born so long ago but as 2010s casts.Ā
I drew a funny picture on the theme of mermaids, and I was asked to draw art with Lily and Snape in this design.
Snape is a sea snake, Lily is a classic mermaid fish
I will upload this image with an additional reblog so that the humorous art does not get in the way
Snape: ? why? ???
James the dolphin
voldemort-moray eel
The wild nature is beautiful
Moray eel: I am Lord Vol...
Of course, he himself walks perfectly on land, but this time the sea threw him ashore against his will
Sirius: HA! It's a sea worm!
You shouldn't have said that
Unfortunately, only the cropped version (in general, I would add censorship, but I'm not sure that even this option will be approved by the site...)
Sirius Black a pirate-cartographer!
when he is ignored, he begins to throw clam shells at the interlocutor
I bet Sirius ignores Severus on purpose just so he can make a collection of Severusā clam shells š¤
Sirius: Oh! I haven't come across such a seashell yet

Happier Days
Snape is absolutely a tea drinker. I know there are a lot of views out there that heās a coffee person, but I think he has enough stress in his life without high-octane beverages.
He loves the ceremony of it all - selecting the tea (is he tired and wanting a pick me up or has he had a difficult day and needs something calming?), the service (mugs and a hefty teapot? the delicate set his grandmother left him?), and sometimes the snacks (or mealā¦tea is an all-day beverage).
Itās 10 minutes of a busy day taken solely for himself and his own pleasure.
ohh i agree. i think anything that has a sort of ceremony or ritual, anything methodical, is attractive to him. tea-making is absolutely that.
1000% agree. As with most HC, Iām projecting, but I totally believe in Snape as a tea person and I have spent SIGNIFICANT time considering this. I can see him having an emergency coffee RARELY, but mostly I think he enjoys the ritual aspect of tea more than the caffeine (heās a Potions Master, if he needs a āpick me upā he has better options)- not to mention the sentimental and spiritual aspects to it. Smell and taste are most linked to memory- the olfactory bulbs are the only sensory part of the brain directly connected to memory. I think he has good memories drinking tea as a kid- even if it wasnātĀ āgoodā tea- he sat with his mum and talked with a cup of tea after school before his dad got home. He used to have nice tea at Lilyās house. Some of his best memories are with tea. I also think he loves the ritual of boiling the water, selecting the tea, smelling it while it steeps, removing the tea bag, inhaling the steam. I think he enjoys a good English breakfast, but I absolutely see him as an afternoon Earl Grey drinker. No sugar. Occasionally with milk but sometimes without. Lemon in his green tea. I could totally see him going for a Yorkshire teabag when heās being low maintenance- it reminds him of his childhood. I think as he grew up and hung around with Lucius etc, he got a taste for high end Oolong and fancy loose leaf teas and he keeps a secret collection. And heās REALLY precise about the temperature and time he steeps them. Heās especially partial to teas from the Darjeeling Valley- he likes the energy of the plants that bloom in the monsoons on the eastern slopes of the Himalayas. He has a contact who hooks him up every year with a batch of āfirst flushā tea from a small organic tea garden near Panchagarh, harvested by an all female collective. He almost NEVER shares his best tea with guests- they wouldnāt appreciate it. Itās his own personal indulgence. He has a tea set he inherited from his nan- but he only uses it for himself, never with guests. It has pink flowers on it with 14K gold trim and he loves drinking out of it.
I love that more than one of us looked at this character and went āthatās a man who loves the tea set he inherited from his nanā.
I can see him as a Darjeeling fan for those days when he wants something light that dances on the tongue. He might just get his Yorkshire tea loose, although I can also see him tossing a teabag into a mug and calling it good on those mornings after difficult nights (his own and his studentsā). Thatās when he drinks it black, steeped deeply enough to strip paint. Itās how his Da drank it.
He might also like different Chinese teas - Keemun and Oolong, expensive as hell; Lapsang Souchong, deeply smoky and autumnal; Yunnan (the tippy kind), with an almost citrus brightness.
He definitely creates his own blends, for himself and for gifts. Charity Burbage almost cried the Christmas she found a tin of tea blended specially for her and a pot of hand balm on her desk in her rooms. That was when she knew he found her tolerable.
The less said about the triple lemon blend he created for Albus the better. Minerva swears it tastes of floor polish.
i think the question now is - what tea would he serve lucius when he comes visiting? :)
does he serve him a builderās tea, or will he actually take the time to include him in one of the more intimate tea rituals?
i can imagine snape serving narcissa more foreign/exotic teas, because sheās an adventurous sort and can appreciate them. one day itās matcha, the next silver hair from yunnan. narcissa has also definitely gifted him with a tea set or several. she also experiments with what sort of cakes can go with the different types of tea.
lucius is not as refined in that juncture, but thatās what makes him fun. lol.
Look, if he serves Lucius (and Draco sometimes) builders tea AND pours it into his saucer to slurp it just to watch their eyes twitch and enjoy the strain on their manners, thatās his business. 𤣠Dracoās reaction to being served steeped dark builders tea in aā¦CHIPPED MUG with no milk the one time lives on his shelf of āPensieve Memories to Revisit on Particularly Shite Daysā. Not everyone was posh enough to always have milk for tea, Draco.
(Heād never do that with Narcissa. Sheād bean him over the head with her parasol. She gets the good stuff served from the set she gifted him. Theyāre both partial to Jasmine or Lychee tea in the afternoon. The Malfoy House Elves go particularly giddy when the two of them start discussing tea. That means Small Cake Time. House Elves are serious about cakes.)
Emergency coffee is key here. I think he hates the stuff but has actually needed it on occasion, and thatās a dark day if Severus Snape is seen drinking a cup of black coffee.
