Cameron is, I think, THEE houseling of all time but in terms of just her bedside manner

she acts the concerned doctor but the minute things go wrong and not as how she expected or wanted she turns easily rude and demeaning, and she can be manipulative and deceptive

in the episode w the AIDS patient, after she thinks she’s infected and he tells her that it was the best thing that ever happened to him, SHE decides to get high and sleep with Chase and when she decides that she didn’t really like that experience she goes off on HIM

and in the episode with the munchausen patient, she also goes off right in the woman’s face because while yes, it does seem like she’s wasting their time, resources and concern, she’s also pissing Cameron off and Cameron hates that, so she decides to rudely tell the patient that she’s wasting time and it’s all useless and the patient rightfully says she doesn’t want a bitch for a doctor and Cameron leaves medicine out for her to take on purpose

like that’s house’s daughter no dna test needed

The Tsahìk and Olo’eyktan roles being primarily gendered is actually so interesting bc it doesn’t seem (intentionally) that it’s like ‘man has this role bc he’s the leader’ bc every Olo’eyktan Will stop and consult their Tsahìk at every turn and conflict, the Tsahìk has as much if not more influence than the Olo’eyktan

In A1, Eytukan was ready to have Jake exiled or killed due to being a ‘dreamwalker’ but stopped when Mo’at came down and was like ‘yo Eywa sent him for a reason we gotta keep this one,’ and he didn’t really complain about it afterward he just thought Jake was a little freaky

in A2, when the Sullys flee to Awa’atlu, and Tonowari wants to grant them sanctuary, he waits for Ronal’s approval to have them stay, only when she gives him a nod does he let them and THEN when Lo’ak comes back and he’s telling them about how leaving the reef was his idea, Tonowari looks to Ronal to see if SHE believes him bc if she does then he will

and in A3, the Mangkwan exclusively call Varang their Tsahìk, not their Olo’eyktan even though she is that too, they follow her as their Tsahìk, their saviour, their ‘mother,’ and call her as such, I think if she hailed herself as just the Olo’eyktan there’d be a lot less fear/respect present and she is very proud to be a Tsahìk

Neteyam probably reminded them all a lot of Tsu’tey BUTTT i think he also reminded Neytiri of Eytukan

they were both level headed, both warriors, fiercely protective of their family, and they lowkey had the same frown

Uncle Tsu’tey to the Sully kids, one of Neytiri’s protectors , I imagine after the events of A1 they have an awkward brother/sister relationship like they love each other buts it’s platonic ALMOST familial

He accompanies them to Awa’atlu and helps them face the RDA a second time

I don’t think Neteyam was as parentified as people want to make him out to be

he was definitely made to be Lo’ak’s ‘supervisor’ of sorts, but they were living in an active war, + moved to a new home where Jake and Neytiri couldn’t constantly have their eyes on Lo’ak

Neteyam being the oldest means that yes, he would’ve had a lot of responsibility but being a parent to Lo’ak wasn’t really one of them

Jacob Anderson would do sooo well in the Avatar franchise, his acting is amazing not just his physicality but the emotion he puts into his voice

he’s like Zoe Saldaña in boy form, especially in IWTV, his micro expressions, emotion and rasp he puts into voice, as well as mimicking several accents while being British is so good

he’d be so good as a Na’vi, I think his face would look so nice as one too

Dennis having a religious family while not being religious but none of them ever bring it up

he’s quiet when they pray before eating, and he holds their hands but he doesn’t pray with them; they bless him sometimes and he thanks them but he doesn’t really believe it

he sees religion as more of a ‘his family’ thing than a world wide phenomenon, its personal to him even if he doesn’t believe in it himself and it’s that belief that makes him hang onto the crosses, to the habitual prayer during bad shifts at the ER and an instinctual thank you to God when something goes his way

he studied theology because it kept his family close to heart even when he was away

Neytiri outwardly becomes opposed to Spider’s presence in A:FAA, but he’s still comfortable enough to fall asleep against her back after escaping the RDA’s base/town

I like to think that even though she harboured a dislike, or at least caution toward Spider for a while, she was still okay with having him around until Neteyam’s death, so she’d involve him in things she just wouldn’t be enthusiastic about it

I don’t think Neytiri is cruel like that to just push Spider away (obv in her grief over Neteyam, she does become hostile, but she still keeps a lot of her feelings to herself or strictly to Jake,) so him being comfortable enough around her to not only consistently be around her family and interact with them closely while in her presence makes me think that she was somewhat a parent to him too

rewatching the Pitt and seeing them all introduce themselves at the start of the episode and Robby’s eyes going to Dennis multiple times in the span of a few seconds hmmmmm

In the same way that Neytiri is shy, I think Jake is too

he’s obviously been trained to be assertive as a marine, and he can hold a crowd, but he’s not exactly confident in himself one hundred percent, which I think is very much amplified by Lo’ak, who his double in almost every way

Jake acts cocky and confident, but he’s actually very quiet, he CAN be confrontational, but it’s not often if it isn’t for the protection of his family. He isn’t as shy as Neytiri, but he definitely is somewhat shy
