okay, so today’s been a bad day. it’s just been really long and i’m extremely tired. i’ll try and get on in a little bit, but if not i’m sorry, i’ll be online. :/
azaria has her bag over her shoulder filled with books, opting to take a break from her studying– and being at the library previously. so it was nice to have a snack break with some pumpkin pasties and pumpkin juice. no such thing as too much pumpkin! “sorry.. didn’t mean ta scare ya.” she apologizes to the slytherin with that of an apologetic smile, she always liked visiting with the house elves and being down in the kitchens. it reminded her a lot of home, and sitting in the kitchen with her parents and the chatter.. although, it wasn’t the same as she wasn’t in ireland. and there wasn’t any chatter until now, but it was a nice memory and a nice thought. “i can come back later.. i didn’t mean ta bother ya either.”

she tried to be friendly to everyone, no matter who they were because she didn’t see a reason why anyone should be rude to others. anastasia’s mind had gone elsewhere as she sat in the kitchen. she’d been trying to do better in her classes, but she’d always struggled in the majority of her practical classes, no matter how hard she studied for them. she clutched onto the stories in hogwarts, a history and the recipes in advanced potion making, as long as she didn’t have to use her wand, she didn’t care. that’s why when someone else entered the room, ana practically jumped. “no, you’re alright,” she shook her head. “my mind was elsewhere. thinking about school -- and other things.” ana took another sip of her pumpkin juice and then a bite of the toast in her other hand. “stay. conversation with company always trumps being alone and thinking about brewing a shrinking solution by memory.” she smiled and looked up. “unless you want to be alone, then i’ll leave.”

hey everyone! i want to make an admin post to address something i’m a little concerned about after chatting with multiple people and seeing a few multi-muse starter calls. this episode is long term. it’s meant to go on for over a month, maybe even two. it’s the main timeline; the background to any other threads we may write in-between. this is not a normal rp event where you have to rush to write everything at once, and thus, burn yourself out. this is the anti rp event. we’re still keeping to players of the week. i made a post here saying to choose the character / player you want to write on most to start out the episode. while you’re still allowed to write on all of your characters at any time, i’m worried that the episode has everyone thinking that they’re supposed to rush to write it. we’re supposed to take our time to write through each chapter, on each character, chronologically. if you have multiple characters, that means you have to move them all through each chapter. there is no skipping, and no picking and choosing which one will write which. if this is too much, then you may need to drop some characters and reconsider how much is too much for your muse load / how much time you have to write weekly. this is all also already addressed on the bottom of the episode in the important notes section, and on the previously mentioned post here.
admittedly one of azaria’s favorite things or one of them anyways– about hogwarts was the kitchens. and just how close it was to the hufflepuff common room. it was perfect for sweets! admittedly, she’d been rather happy to have stopped by for some pumpkin pasty’s. as well as a few other treats that had gotten shoved into her bag for safe keeping. hazel hues fall onto a familiar face as there’s a wave of one of her hands. “hi ya, friend!”

for the most part, ana found herself avoiding the kitchens if she could because she preferred to eat with her housemates or a friend rather than alone in the kitchens. for some reason, that was just weird to her. today, anastasia just so happened to have run out of time before classes started to grab something. not wanting to wait for lunch, the slytherin found herself walking down the halls, tickling the fruit on the painting to the kitchens and slipping in to grab something quick. she grabbed a pumpkin juice and some toast, sitting off to the side not to bother the house elves that seemed hard at work. ana almost jumped when azaria spoke. “hey there,” she smiled, after she finished eating.

The SEVENTEEN year old student is certainly making the MALECRIT family proud, aren’t they? One time, I heard someone say the PUREBLOOD looks a lot like some muggle, HALEY LU RICHARDSON– whoever that is.
biography!
anastasia is the youngest daughter of the malecrit family -- that originated from france. ana’s parents are from the loire valley, where more of the malecrit family is from and resides, save one uncle who ana’s only met once. her parents moved to england because neither of their families approved of their marriage. despite her mother being a pureblood, she wasn’t as high caliber as her husband, but they’d met at school and fallen in love and married before their parents said no.
after their move to england, it didn’t take long for them to have their first child, ana’s older brother by two and a half years. her parents quickly settled into life in england, where her mother trained as a healer and her father wrote for the prophet. anastasia wasn’t born into wealth, seeing as her family left france with basically nothing, but her parents job’s eventually earned them enough to be well-known and have a certain reputation among the wizarding world.
they lived in the countryside, outside london. far enough from the city that it was only a short train ride away, but far enough away that they weren’t bothered by the noise. ana and her brother practically grew up exploring their area. their parents hired them a tutor to teach them the basics of magic, as well as muggle subjects. since both of them worked, ana and her brother rarely saw their parents. the two of them became close to each other. ana basically following him around wherever he went with wide eyes and an appreciation of everything around her.
she also became interested in dance. her mother carted her off to dance class after dance class, anastasia learned ballet and was very good at it. it taught her a lot of discipline and the arts, which she’d always enjoyed more than anything else. ana loved nights when her father took her to plays or events at museums because it taught her the value of arts.
she was very young when they realized the magic trait had indeed been passed on to her. ana remembers being four at the time. her mother and father whispering behind closed doors and her brother convincing her to listen. and she didn’t remember this, but they’d done the same for him when he was five. two days later, two strangers appeared -- and for the first time, anastasia met her grandparents. all she remembers is not liking them, and then the fight with her own parents. then they were gone almost as suddenly as the appeared. she’s never seen them sense.
when she was eight and a half, her brother received his hogwarts letter and ana watched as he went off to hogwarts, getting sorted into gryffindor, and began making friends with people. it was two years of listening to his stories before she got her own letter. ana was conflicted about going at first -- because it seemed like it was more her brother’s thing and she wanted to dance. it was her father that convinced her to go, telling her that magic would only enhance the natural talents she had. in the end, anastatia pakced her bags and went off to hogwarts.
she expected to be placed in gryffindor, like her brother, but when the hat called out slytherin, anastasia was conflicted. she didn’t think she belonged at first. she was a pureblood, sure. but she didn’t think she was that ambitious or cunning. it wasn’t until her third year that she embraced her own house and realized that her determination was internal and she was ambitious, but not about some of the things other people cared about. although, being in slytherin has put a bit of tension between her and her brother. at school, she rarely spoke to him and at home their interactions were minimal.
now that she’s in her seventh year, ana is determined to make her last year count. she knows next year is going to be important in figuring out what she wants to do with the rest of her life and what direction she wants to take.
personality!
anastasia is one of the more soft-spoken students in her house. looking at her, most wouldn’t expect she’s a slytherin. her bright smile somewhat standing out among her peers. she doesn’t feel like blood status means much of anything -- and will go out of her way to stand up for muggleborns and halfbloods that are getting bullied. however, ana’s still an ambitious person in her own ways. she wants to be an artist, a dancer, a writer, anything creative. she’s creative and kind, but that’s about all she is. ana clearly has a wild streak in her and only follows the rules when they suit her. she tries to be respectful to her professors and the other students, though sometimes comes across as spoiled. anastasia speaks both french and english and when frustrated or angry. she struggles academically though, despite her more artistic nature. practical magic doesn’t come easily to her sometimes. and she’d rather be reading books on monet or tchaikovsky than on history of magic. but she does her best to get average grades. she’s not very intimidating. people half the time think she’d have made a better hufflepuff until they get to know her and see the side of her that refuses to give up on her dreams, no matter how lofty they are.
