I honestly feel so tired and burnt out. I finally finished the last of my Summer semester today and I don't even feel the relief or sense of accomplishment I was hoping for. Man, I'm just tired af I want a nap

After realizing the Grishko's I've recently started wearing are now officially on backorder for an unknown amount of time I decided to take the plunge and order Gaynor Minden's. If I already have to wait months regardless why not? The only reason I went the trad shoe route in the first place was because of the atrocious GM backlog but kind of giving up on that atp. At least my current shoes are still super new and I'm dancing pretty sparsely in them rn so they miiiiiiight last long enough?
pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.
chose a hill but i won't die on it. feel free to come and be killed on my hill
Working by myself today (coworker had to call out) so I'm just chilling, playing classical music, working on hw between customers since Sundays are always slow for us. Honestly chill wouldn't mind more solo Sundays tbh
wow you have dogshit taste (remembers im trying to be nicer to people who like different things) uh i mean, it's beautiful how the breadth of human experience is so wide it encompasses those with good taste and those with dogshit taste
social media has really warped our perception of creativity and hobbies. Stop doing things to post them. Just write. Just journal. Just sketch. Just read. Just annotate. Just sing. Just crochet. Just do the thing you’re going to do with the assumption no one will ever see or know you did it. Stop performing. Just enjoy it.
Holy hell the backs of my knees are bruised to hell today... owwwwwww

AH it feels so good to be sore the day after a class! Time to write a 4 page paper!
the only way to tell if a man is truly gentle is if he has green moss and algae all over him from sleeping quietly, motionlessly, at the bottom of a crystal clear riverbed
I love you jumping flash kiwi. The little guy ever.
Ramblings: So new class tried today and it wasn't exactly what I was expecting but I enjoyed it a lot and will be going back.
We warmed up with some hand held weights together first and some general body weight exercises which I guess was considered mat pilates? Then we did barre and center which was normal and what I expected. Because of that initial warm-up by the time we did center and across the floor my muscles felt buttery smooth and warm. Combinations were definitely more geared on the very beginner side but I don't mind since it gave me a chance to really focus on other things I tend to overlook (turn out turn out turn out). Also for the Summer apparently the classes level gets very skewed since a lot of different folks drop in randomly and it's between the "school years", and I was told it'll be a little bit more difficult come the official school season kick-off. I was also told their pointe class will be starting up again then as well. Very fun!
