New Horizon
Closing his own glowing amber hues that were also laden with age, war a many other tales to tell, the elder sighed softly at the moment of silence, hoping that he had not yet again angered the Germanic nation—something that he had done so many times in the past, and even in this time.
The kiss was there to comfort the blonde. Romulus, being the caring, fatherly man he was could not hold the small show of affection back after he had once again opened his eyes, “Aldrich… you need to stop tensing so, let me help you… let me guide you. Despite all, I am here for you. You must remember that I am grateful for certain things.” He said softly, age cracking his voice.
The silence coming from the German was rather calm instead of hostile like before. The other spoke of wanting to help him adjust. Sure he may not want to simply out of wanting to go back to his tradition, but... He looked down at the water in front of him, watching as the ripples from the movement on the table disappeared. Sooner or later he would have to get used to this place. He couldn't depend on his children all the time. It was an insult to his own pride. He had to be independent, just as he taught his own children.
"Very well." his voice was soft, raising those blue eyes back to lock gazes with Romulus. Aldirch briefly wanted to ask what 'certain things' he was grateful, simply slipping back into silence to hopefully edge the other on.
