OKAY SO HERE IS THE DEAL:

I was thinking of remaking this blog so it wasn’t a side blog. I miss this nerd very much and thought it would be easier than having him stick to a sideblog. I will give Lys his own too, but he would have the sideblog instead since he was a side character to begin with.

“So much rain...”

Gently resting his fingers upon the strings of his instrument, the relic lifted his head and gazed out from beneath the tree he sat under. Cold as it may be, the sound of rain falling upon the various plants about him was rather calming. 

After taking in a deep breath of the crisp air, Light leaned back against the tree and idly plucked the strings of his harp, listening to the gentle sounds meld together.

Don’t mind the relic as he watches a pretty literal sword fight. This was... interesting.

Headcanon time!

I was thinking and like... What if Light was able to float sometimes like you typically see in the games? Maybe when he’s resting/recovering, standing in place or in deep thought you can see him lift off the ground a few inches, or even seems to glide a bit while he walks.

On the other hand, when it comes to water... He’ll still sink like a rock because surprise, solid metal ain’t exactly buoyant.

   She shifted slightly at his touch. There was a part of her that wanted to shun his touch– not out of disgust, but out of a sort of self-loathing. She was his master and such small gestures of intimacy were considered inappropriate, correct? She considered herself a lesser being in comparison to him. Hylia can’t help but notice how warm his own hand is in comparison to their icy surroundings.

    “You needn’t worry about me, Your Grace. My body is not particularly bothered by the cold. What about you? Does the cold make you uncomfortable? Should we return to the Temple?”

Noticing that Hylia had shifted upon him touching her shoulder, Light perked up before promptly removing his hand. He didn't wish to make the woman uncomfortable or upset in some way, after all.

Ears gave a slight twitch as he chuckled faintly once more, attention drifting back towards the sky above as snow continued to fall around the duo.

"Well, being made out of metal does make one get cold rather quickly. And these robes aren't the warmest things in the world..." In other words, yes, he was actually quite chilled from standing out here like this. Especially given that the relic didn't even wear shoes most of the time. That bright smile remained though, flecks of gold offering a calming glow.

"Perhaps heading inside would prove refreshing to us both... I'll even make us some tea!"

   She hadn’t thought that much about her little trick that deeply. She’d been mimicking the humans. It was something she did quite a lot now-a-days. She did it because, for whatever reason, it made him smile.

    “The forest is quiet now that the Kikwi have gone to sleep for the winter. Even Lake Floria has frozen over so I cannot speak with Lady Faron, is this what they call ‘loneliness’?” Her cerulean hues darted to Light, “If something is troubling you, you must tell me, Your Grace. That is what I was created for after all.

Attention slowly drifted back to the woman at his side as she spoke, listening closely to each word that was uttered before a soft hum reverberated deep within his chest. Loneliness... Yes, the word was rather descriptive of such a season given how quiet nature got, wasn’t it?

"That it is, H-”

Shoulders then lifted when Hylia's gaze suddenly darted right back in his direction, causing the relic to stiffen. Honestly it was a little startling. Still, that kind smile remained as Light gave a shake of the head upon relaxing.

"As I said, just lost in thought. You needn’t worry.” A hand then rested on the woman’s shoulder, offering a bit of warmth in that frigid weather. “Are you alright though? You aren’t too cold are you?”

   “I apologize. I hid my presence to startle you. I thought it would be funny. It seems I haven’t quite learned the intricacies of ‘humor’ yet,” She wandered over slender hand reached up and brushed some of the remaining white powder from his robes, “I apologize, Your Grace. You just seemed troubled.”

Now that was just mean. Clever, but still. Although, given it was Light, he truly couldn’t stay mad at the goddess. She was still learning her way around human emotions after all, and she had just wanted to help.

When the rest of the snow was brushed off with her assistance, Light gave his guardian a gentle smile before shaking his head.

"It's nothing Hylia, don't worry." Gaze turned towards the sky again, feeling those familiar specks of cold land upon gold flaked skin before they melted away. Winter always was a somber time, wasn't it? "I was just lost in thought, that's all."

  “Did I surprise you, Your Grace? You looked so solemn for a moment I thought I’d lighten the mood.”

“Hyliaaaa”

The relic whined as he sat up in the snow, shuddering as he shook the cold powder from robes. That scared him! Standing up and dusting the rest off, Light looked over in Hylia’s direction as his ears perked up.

“You frightened me, honestly. I didn’t sense you right away!”

There was a sudden shriek, and then silence as the relic fell back in the snow. Hylia why must you do this, he wasn’t even outside for five minutes!

“The snow looks rather lovely under the moonlight, especially when it’s falling from the sky. It’s so peaceful...”

“Oh! Well this is quite a surprise... Lady Midna, was it?”

The relic tilted his head, flecks of gold lighting up momentarily as he gazed upon the other. This was the woman that had traveled alongside the Hero of Twilight, was it not? That... Might explain the odd surroundings then.

“Ah! My apologies, friend; sometimes I forget how silent I may be. I hope I did not startle you too badly?”

A warm smile belied the shiver as the queen pulled her cloak more tightly about her body- a slender frame was not, unfortunately, ideal for this weather, but for the sake of heavenly wonders, she could endure. Wide blu eyes followed the golden figure’s path, falling upon the bloodied orb in the heavens with trepidation-truly an intimidating thing, worthy of its creators.

“Nor have I; I am told that this is quite a rare occurrence. Whether that is good or ill, I cannot say… but I think I prefer the usual moon myself.”

“It’s quite alright, your highness. I’m just glad it wasn’t a creature of the night!”

A quiet chuckle echoed in Light’s throat, motioning for the other to stand beside him. If anything, that gentle light illuminating the scattered flecks of gold upon the relic’s skin might offer some form of comfort. It did for him on those lonely nights in the temple.

“Rare indeed. Fear not, at least the moon doesn’t have a face.” While it was said in jest, Light could recall such a sight on a particular hero’s adventure.

“As do I. Though I suppose that is because we are both used to seeing the moon so pale?”
