Oi I need to do stuff on this account. QAQ
Annnnnd I forget to come on here. Oof. But I’m still up for RPs!!!
“Hey, Elita!! It’s Beta! Long time no see!” She grins at her friend.
♔. }
Audials flick at the familiar voice, one which despite having not heard in millions of years still registered immediately all the same. Cool cerulean hues glances upwards then widen a moment, staring over at the femme as though she were an apparition. She may as well have been, Elita had been there and watched when her spark went out. Lip plates pressed together in a thin line and internally shoved the less than pleasant memory from her thoughts.
❝ Beta, ❞ Elita replied, with a gentility and wistfulness that could only be described as disbelieving; bittersweet. ❝ It is good to see you, old friend… ❞ her voice trailed off, gaze softening by the second. The multiverse could be equally kind and cruel sometimes, this being one of them.
❝ You look well, ❞ the Councillor vented, smiling in spite of herself, ❝ I can only hope time has treated you kindly… ❞ Again, the last image she had of Beta — while seared into her processors — also shoved aside, preferring to see bright green plates and wide grin, just as she remembered her to have.
‘’I have been doing well, commander!’’ Beta piped with the smile still remaining on her faceplates. ‘’ I have been with Alpha Trion at the Hall of Records, helping him since the war ended. I actually work there.’’ She let out a soft chuckle and hummed while glancing at Elita’s frame. Admiring her friend. Beta always idolized Elita in some way. Elita’s commanding skills she thought were far better than her own back in the olden days with the Quintessons. Such traumatizing times.
She decided to explain her job further, thinking she wasn’t clear enough. ‘’I just sort books, organize shelves, and deliver the new arrivals to him in the library. More like his personal assistant of a sort.’’ She sighed. ‘’Even though books aren’t my thing it pays at least.’’ She hummed and kept glancing at her commander but also taking a moment to cross her arms. It seemed as Beta’s expression saddened as if there was a deeper reason she worked there when she explained her new job. In truth, Beta just wanted to stay near Alpha as much as possible in fear of losing him.
The only reason she works at the Hall with Alpha was to keep him safe at all cost. She was also afraid if the Quintessons were to return one day and snuff his spark. She would be there to protect him at least. If anything were to happen to him she would never forgive herself. It was a promise she made to herself. She let out another long sigh but grinned once more at her friend. ‘’What about you, Elita? I assume you’ve been busy?’’
Clings to one of Alpha’s legs. “HOLD ME.” Beta seemed terrified for some reason.... might just be from another nightmare about the Quintessons again.
“PRIMUS ALMIGHTY!” He shrieked when his leg was grabbed. “For the love of Solus, Beta! What’s the matter? Unhand my person please.” He reached down to pry Beta off of his leg.
“I-I had a nightmare…” Beta stuttered as she kept clinging onto him once again even if he took her off. She just clung onto his torso anyways. Her arms were wrapped around him. Her frame was shaking it seemed. She must’ve been really spooked or something.
Trion petted her back and made a soothing noise. “Ah, I see.” He murmured softly. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and snuggled her a moment. “It must have been frightening to upset you so much, I haven’t met a tougher fem than you since Elita, and Chromia. Here lets head into the lounge, you can recharge on the couch in there where it is well lit.” He reasoned.
“I-It felt real…I-it was about when we were battling the Quintessons together. Th-they took you and I-I was responsible for a-all of it. They even blamed me on your death and had me guilty….” Beta mumbled while she continued to cling onto him like a child. She was really terrified of those damn Quintessons. Slimy little glitches! Her frame was visibly seen shaking at this point.
“Hey now, you’re safe. The war is long over. Besides, you know how often they tried, and failed to snuff me.” Trion shushed her again. “It’s alright.”
Beta sighed shakily and nodded as she tried to calm down. Eventually she did as she yawned while wiping her optics. She kept clinging onto him in fear of losing him. “I apologize…I-I just keep getting these odd Quintesson dreams lately. I’m not sure why.” She frowned at him. “Could it mean something?”
“It’s fine, Beta.” He hugged her back again. He reached into his subspace and pulled out a polishing cloth for her to dab her optics with. “No need to apologize, nightmares happen.” He eased them to sit on the double wide couch. “It could be, but I highly doubt it. Those were traumatic times. I admit you haven’t had the night terrors in a while, but that does not mean you can’t ever relapse into them.”
“I thought I had gotten over it but it seems I am not.” Beta frowned more as she took the cloth and wiped her optics. She sniffled softly and put it down on her lap the she proceeded to lay back against the sofa. “What if this is a sign they are coming back? Or worse when they come back what if they start another war?!” She shivered at the thought. “What if they grab you when I’m asleep?! I must keep my vow up to protect you.” She declared with a huff but continued to look scared.

Beta looked around for Alpha Trion within the Hall of Records then to the archives where he spent most of his time that she knew of but she was beginning to become frustrated as she could not find him. That mech did not like to stay still! He always disappears on her. It was hard to keep track of him. She called his name in hopes for him to answer her. ‘’Alpha? Trion!’’ She kept repeating the mechs name as her voice echoed within the halls. ‘’Your new books came in, sir!’’ Beta said in a joking manner while placing the box filled with said new books on a table near the entrance way, making sure to not damage them. She hummed softly and stood near the box while tapping a digit on her chin in thought. Where could he be? She just sighed heavily, shaking her helm. Arms soon crossing over her chest plating. Since the war ended she was now one of Alpha’s closest friends and advisor in the Hall of Records. She was just glad to be with him again and that he lived. She decided to call his name one more time….
‘‘Alpha Trion!’’
“My my, Beta, no need to shout. Everything echoes in this place.” Trion chuckled from down one of the aisles. He appeared with an empty container. “Oh they did come in, I just finished putting away the returns.” Trion chortled like an old dragon over a new addition to his hoard. “You needn’t hang around here with a dusty old sod like me, you know.” He greedily pawed through the new additions. “I know you feel like you need to hang around, but why choose to stay here and not take up that Prowl feller on work spec techs? You are a bit over qualified to be a book pusher like me.”
“Well if you did not disappear on me almost five times today without telling me I would not have to.” Beta scoffed lightly at the mech as shehad taken a seat at the table where she had placed the books on and faced Alpha. “Prowl? Did you just—“ She giggled softly then watched him go through the books. “I am surprised you even brought him up. I would go but Prowl’s a bit of a slagger plus I accidentally shot him in the foot with an arrow one time… I doubt he’ll let me in after that….” the femme muttered in shame and shifted awkwardly while eyeing the crossbow gun on her back. “Besides, right here is where I belong. With you in the Hall of Records. Perhaps it is where I am meant to stay since no other job has taken me.” She sighed heavily with a frown on her face. “The Hall of Records is like my home.” She then smiled at the thought.
“Aye, lass. But Prowl wouldn’t have asked if he cared about the arrow to the foot incident.” Trion hefted up the container of book files. “And no other place of employment has taken you, cause you haven’t applied.” Trion set the container down on his desk next to the massive pile of clutter. “I know how you feel, lass. And this place will always be open to you. I’ll always be here. But you can’t spend the rest of yer life attached to me. I know we worked real hard and did a lot together when we were younger, but even then I was an old mech when you were a new bitty. Are you really content to live out your days here?”
“But someone has gotta keep you in line!” Beta protested with a knowing smirk on her lips. “And I did too apply! …to one.” She muttered while taking out an app she actually applied to and threw the paper on the table for him to look at. It seemed like she had crumbled it up before. “See there! Denied!” There was a big red stamp on it that said denied. She huffed and crossed her arms, pouting as she turned away from him. “I am certain!” She gave an affirmative nod of the helm. “Maybe I’ll even become an archivist like you one day.” She smirked wider at him all of the sudden. “Maybe even better.” She spoke a bit cocky, snickering while sticking out her glossa at him playfully.
Trion lifted a optic ridge and wandered over to see the denied application. He looked at the data sheet then back at Beta with the most unimpressed look. “You applied, for a confection artisan. Beta! You don’t even know how to make rust sticks without burning them! This application requires you to have a degree!” He face palmed. “Oh no, you are much too much a pain in the aft to be dealing with books! You get bored after filing the late returns!” Trion huffed. He stuck his glossa back out at her. “Why not crystal carving in Praxus or something, you love working with crystals.” He bemoaned in exasperation.
“Because I thought I could’ve learnt how to do it properly!” Beta reasoned. “I’ve burnt down the house only once while making them! …..okay maybe twice but I could’ve learned better!” She argued and rolled her optics, scoffing. “Well I—“ She tried to come up with an excuse for the books but ended up just nodding and agreeing. “Okay, okay, there I’m not going to lie fliling is boring as frag.” She giggled to herself as she looked at him. “I think I have the attention span of a scraplet….” she mumbled while rubbing her helm in thoughts. Though the second he mentioned crystals her optics shot open and beamed in wonder and sparkled. “Crystals?!” She then cleared her throat and looked all serious again. “But that’s too far away from you.” She frowned deeply, not wanting to leave him.
Trion lifted a brow. “Beta. It wouldn’t hurt you to act your age.” He rolled his optics. “You are not youngling anymore. You are getting up there in the years, but you have so much more you could do with your life. And sticking around here I fear is stunting your growth.” He gestured to the archives. “I understand wanting to stick close to your friends, but I can’t continue to look after you and keep you out of trouble.” He shook his head. “You rely on me far too much, and I fear I have been an enabler in that fact. That’s on me.” He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nasal ridge. “You’re a very dear friend to me Beta, but you spend far too much time around here. I was going to wait to tell you, but I have been asked to organize and set up a new hall of records in Tetrahex. I will be leaving in a decaorn.”
“A-And I am assuming you want me to stay….?” A deep frown crossed her face as she looked upset suddenly. A wave of sadness hit her spark as she looked at him desperately. That place was far away. How was she supposed to protect Alpha now? What if she couldn’t make new friends? What if the Hall of Records bans her from returning when he’s gone? Well there goes her making book forts when she’s upset. Alpha always protected her from the mean front desk library mecha. Her optics glossed over as if she was about to sob or have a break down.
“What about our short talks during the day? Our sessions?” A crack was heard in her voice as she spoke. She sounded and looked upset. Good job, Alpha. You made your friend cry.
“This is the point I am trying to make, Beta. You have become attached to me. You hinge your happiness on being around me. And while I don’t mind your company, you have become servery co-dependent.” He reached out and took her hand to pat it gently. “I would like you to see someone about this. I could recommend Rung, he is the best in the business.” He sat down next to her and squeezed her servo.
“You aren’t coping well with changes. I understand needing a safe place to retreat to, but you can’t continue to live your life like this. Faced with the fact of me being gone, even temporarily, you are having a mental breakdown over it.” He looked pained at her pinched face.
“Beta, you are a dear friend, and you know I love you as such.” He squeezed her servo again. “Now, while I am gone, if you like, you can stay here, I’ll even employ you and pay you a fair wage if you insist on staying here. BUT, I would like you to actually go out and find a dwelling to live in. You are not an acolyte of the temple of Primus that requires two stellar cycles in reading and prayer.”
“That’ll work.. I’d rather work here while you’re gone anyways. You know to keep things working? If I apply to some work, what if they deny me again and I’ll have nowhere to go? No one knows who I am besides you. My existence feels like it has been forgotten even though I’ve helped wiped out some Quintessons that controlled the entire planet. nOt A bIg DeAl. At aLl.” Beta scoffed at herself as she held Trion’s servo. She sniffled and wiped her optics. But he was right. She did not cope with change well. It was hard for her.
She let out a vented sigh. “Maybe I just should become a street cop.” She mumbled and let out a small chuckle. “Imagine me a street cop?” She giggled to herself.
How to annoy Alpha Trion
‘‘Hello, Beta here! If you wish to annoy my good ol’ buddy, Alpha, here are some tips! But be warned you might get banned from the Hall!’‘ @alpha-trion-the-wise
Touch his beard.
Tug on his beard.
Poke his nose.
Poke him several times until he breaks
Get in his personal space
Knock over a shelf he just organized
Make Rust sticks and keep the oven on unsupervised(Beta has done this and burnt the house three times at least.)
Spray paint the hallways of the Hall of Records a ridiculously bright color (or the rainbow)
Make a book fort
Place the books he just organized on another shelf somewhere. (He’ll eventually notice when you do it several times.)
Yell his name every second to get his attention. ( The hall is echoey so it’ll just keep echoing loudly. )
Put oil at the bottom of your pedes and slide around the halls. It’ll cause an oil trail to be left behind, making a mess.
Take all of his Qils when he’s about to write.
Write on the walls saying he loves Optimus and put pink hearts around it so it looks like it’s in a romantic gesture.
Spray paint a book
Stack the books as if you were trying to make a sculpture (The books are fragile and he doesn’t like them to have weight on them.)
Write him a love letter from Optimus.
Replace book covers with different covers so it isn’t the actual title.
Be loud.
Last but not least put sticky notes all over his desk/office room so it is covering EVERYTHING.

“And I did too apply! ...to one.” She muttered while taking out an app she actually applied to and threw the paper on the table for him to look at.
