i keep seeing this on my dash and. yes you're right except for online school and work. it wasn't a lie when managers said you can't do you job at home - that's why so many people are being laid off or put on time off without pay.
it's not a lie that college classes couldn't be taught online. maybe some, but definitely not most. definitely not mine. definitely not my friends. and yeah, we're doing it. but it sucks so fucking hard.
the rest, yeah. but please stop telling me i can keep living in this digital world after this is all over.
Honestly, yeah that’s what’s been stopping me from reblogging this. No, not every job and every college can be done online nor would I want to. We DEFINITELY need to be more flexible with all of this but I would fucking hate if, for example, my art school was all online. I NEEDED those at school facilities because I needed those computers, libraries, scanners, public buses, visual learning with a teacher, in person counseling, and most importantly some freedoms I couldn’t have at home. Yes, this situation proves that companies inability to be flexible is ableist as hell and unnecessary but let’s not make it sound like everything in the world SHOULD be done digitally/virtually pls
