У нас было 2 участника мужского движения, 75 пикаперов, 5 православных консерваторов, немного поехавших сектантов и целое множество мужских шовинистов всех сортов и расцветок. Не то чтобы это был необходимый запас для борьбы с баборабством и оленизмом, но если начали защищать мужское достоинство, становится трудно остановиться. Единственное, что вызывало у меня опасение — это инцелы. Ничто в мире не бывает более беспомощным, безответственным и порочным, чем инцелы. Я знал, что рано или поздно мы перейдем и на эту дрянь.

Decades after Space War I, the UN Government is testing variable fighter prototypes on the colony planet Eden. This long-awaited canon sequel to the classic Super Dimension Fortress Macross boasts an impressive staff list made up of industry vets and rising young talent. Most notable among the then-newcomers are co-director Shinichiro Watanabe, script writer Keiko Nobumoto and composer Yoko Kanno, best known today for their iconic collaboration on 1998’s Cowboy Bebop. Supervised by franchise creator Shoji Kawamori, Macross Plus pushed the anime envelope with its innovative sound design, pioneering fusion of traditional animation with early computer graphics and exploration of mature themes like aging and regret.

Macross Plus was released first as a four-part OVA, then as a streamlined motion picture. The OVA edition is available streaming via Amazon Prime Video.
