Not that anyone will care but this blog, along with all my others, will be put into retirement. I’ve found despite claims I’ll make effort and time to be around I just can’t. Not only that but this community has become too divided, with too many cliques and groups who don’t often move outside their circle. (Hey, whatever, you do you.) In the event anyone would like to keep in contact I’ll give you my Skype or Kik if you ask.

Aaahhhh. Waiting for them in Dream.
I can’t help but thinking of Mamoru summoning them, again and again (keeping it secret from Usagi and the Senshi). He asks them about the Messiah and the talismans, he confesses his jealousy for Usagi and Haruka, he tells them everything about Saturn’s awakening and so on. I can’t think he summons them JUST in the Black Moon Arc ;-) Interestingly, they appear by his side in Dream without being summoned, caring for his illness, so I can’t help but wondering if their spirits see everything happens in Mamoru’s apartment (they can’t go out because their stones are in the box, of course. Or not?). It reminds me of King Endymion’s spirit in Black Moon Arc and his powers. Ok. I must stop it. Thoughts and thoughts.

I just LOVE it when Naoko Takeuchi weaves mythology into Sailor Moon and Sailor V!
In Greek and Roman mythology, the goddess Venus (known as Aphrodite in Greece) was born from the severed genitals of the god (god may not be the appropriate term because he was sort of in a league of his own) Uranus when the fell into the ocean. Sea foam washed on the shore and formed into a woman of beauty the likes of which had never been seen on Heaven or Earth before.
It seems as though our Venus was born the same way in her past life (although let’s hope no genital maiming took place for Haruka! XD) and one of the droplets crystalized and became a jewel. The Drop of Venus seems to be a Venusian treasure.
Okay but seriously I’ll never forgive the 90′s anime for this whole butchering of WHY Haruka dislikes the Starlights/Seiya. SHE WAS THE ONE TO FIGURE OUT WHO THEY WERE. And she accepted that they helped them! And when they showed up at the school, Haruka’s thought it was weird the Starlights were copying their mode of operation and wondered if they were trying to get into contact with them (not shown).
And then she thought they hurt Usagi, and THAT is when the real mistrust started. That’s when the rivalry started too – literally the next panel after the bottom one was the rivalry between Ami/Taiki started, following with Seiya/Haruka and Yaten/Michiru.
Also – casual reminder Haruka was dead before Seiya ever really starting to put the moves on Usagi. (And that Seiya knew that Mamoru was dead the whole time oops).

Did it ever occur to these people that the Sailor Scouts might simply have a Patreon account set up?
Unfortunately, this is in the manga, too- dating from back in the 90’s. :| So who knows. The was definitely no online crowd-sourcing back then. >_>; I’ve puzzled over that line for years now. Maybe it means like someone who donates to Michiru’s art or something?
Joking aside, I’m sure it’s probably that. Michiru is shown to be an extremely successful artist and violinist; she regularly holds concerts around around (as revealed in the Dream arc) and when she and Haruka met in the first anime she was performing on a fancy cruise ship. She’s rather famous when we first met her, so it’s not hard to believe that there are wealthy donors who pay for her (and Haruka and Setsuna’s) lifestyle, either via direct donations or through purchasing her art/performance time.
Hell, maybe even Haruka has a few sponsors of her own. She’s a well-known racer (both with cars and her own two legs) so maybe she’s famous enough to have people pay for her stuff, too.
Still, it’s fun to pretend that they run an escort service on the side, lol. Maybe while Michiru spends time with the dudes Haruka ensures their poor wives aren’t lonely. And Setsuna’s the pimp.

@andabigredbow is a wonderful Minako, and Mina-P is in general a really awesome person! even though they’re not around very often you can always tell when they are on how much they love being Minako.
