I was, in fact wondering who would read a long post related to a theme they don’t know.

It’s the middle of the night, this place is darker than my soul and as I stare at the ceiling, I’m trying to figure out what is this feeling. There are no tears, I’m not crying; I simply feel a river of emotions floating from the clouds of my mind, into my soul.

It’s annoyingly funny how the surroundings of this room can make me feel comfortable enough to agonize, but still pitiful of my own being.

Lost & alone.

How could have I ended up this way? Apparently, you leaving costed me my happiness, my joy and even my creativity. You left me here, by myself, to deal with my demons while you dissipated into ether. My body, now unable to produce one single beautiful image spits trough daily tasks furry, regret or sadness. I taught that keeping myself busy for long enough would change the obvious, but, obviously, it didn’t work, that’s why I’m here.

Way too much time passed and I am finally crying upon my own fate instead of finding an more interesting way of postponing the unavoidable.

You’d think that this decision of leaving and the profound promise of coming back to me would offer a cocktail of enough emotions so I could start writing poetry again. It didn’t work that way. I was expecting an unlimited amount of melancholy, the eternal source of my life in my heart, instead, I found you there, being sure no one touches the chest you buried in my heart. As if I didn’t know that long distance relationships don’t work. Maybe they would have… only if we shared the same world.

As if I didn’t knew that our single chance of being us was smaller than my desire to understand falsity. And still… I loved you, I still do.

Even if this world of mine changed so much, would it be so wrong to believe in you one more time?

Wouldn’t it be unjust if I would give up before getting to see you again one last time before… before I end? Should I crawl back into prayers and trust the will of those I’ve never seen? Should I give up on my life principles, now, in those last moments and seek forgiveness? If it matters, for you, I would.

Suddenly the room doesn’t seems dark anymore. It’s fillied with your warm presence and your scented perfume from years ago. You haven’t changed. Even in my dreams, you’re still as joyful as ever, I feel at home, now that I can finnaly hold your hand and see your smile. If there is a chance, for me, such an impure soul, I wish… I wish…to go in the same place you are.

Don’t you cry, my love, I’m old enough to leave this place and my presence isn’t needed anymore. I am not sure if anyone ever needed me.

Meet the OC, Nadine

Nadine is a devoted student that has as major in college, literature. Her love for the art of writing started after she discovered that poetry can heal the wounds provoked by reason. She thought that she will be able to make poems for all people and to let them see the world she’s living in, thought words. Sick of the way people underestimate the power of words she decided to make poetry that expresses the pain of the poet and the pain of the helpless. She won a few national contests on this theme and Lysander noticed her talent of writing. They changed ideas related to many themes such as pain, depression, war, abuse and times they never lived in. The appreciation for fine arts, opera and poetry made them friends and they helped each other get over art blocks.

She loves any antiquity, from porcelain to books and vintage cloths. She found herself at home watching the sea living its eternal curse of never being the same. In a rainy day of October she felt for the first time sadness flowing into rivers of emotion. She understood that maybe the fear of remaining empty without misery makes you give up on the thought itself that you could ever discover what happiness means.

She never agreed with Amber’s superficiality or with Melody’s falsity and her impulsive manner made her step up in front of injustices that occured in the  environment she lives in. She plays piano and she can be found working in a epoque restaurant providing ambiance with her skills. She is Chani’s room mate and she cound’t be more happy about it. She loves Beatles, Five finger death punch, Pearl jam, The White Buffalo, Three days grace, Scorpions but also classic music. She found herself borwing books from Nathaniel because their taste in universal literature was the same in highschool. Cat lover.
