Andrew (Me)
My poster design for the University of British Columbia Film Society's The Big Lebowski's beverage garden.
A group of trees tightly woven together under the earth became uprooted on a river bank taking along with them most of the topsoil and plants near by. Despite the fall and ending up in a 90 degree angle, they were still able to keep their structure. We took advantage of this and tried to create an illusion in the photograph. In taking this image I wanted to portray the simple illusion of looking down at someone, but then as I studied my own image more, I began to feel the sensation of falling.
A photo sesh on a particularly beautiful evening after it had just rained.
A few more picture on my flickr site that haven't been uploaded to tumblr. Take a look if you would like.
