A few days ago Luis Palau (you know, the guy you hear on K-Love or Air 1 from time to time) did his daily Reaching Your World podcast titled "Pompeii." Listen to the podcast and think about "What would you grab in a fire?" Did you grab something expensive that you just bought? Did you grab something that holds a lot of sentimental value? Did you grab your pet, your children, or your family? What you grab says a lot about where your heart truly lies and what you love the most. 1 John says, “Do not love the world or the things in the world… the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” I don't know about you, but I want to abide forever with Christ! Our possessions will not last forever. Even our bodies will turn to dust and return to the earth. But our spirit will return to God (Ecclesiastes 12:7).
Learn to love what is righteous and you will grab what truly matters in the fire. - Andrew
