I contributed background paintings to the 2021 animated film, Cryptozoo, directed by Dash Shaw and Jane Samborski.

All of my work was painted in gouache & watercolor on paper.

In this post are some of the shots in which my backgrounds paintings and elements appear. For the Cryptozoo Gate, each statue was based on a real mythical Cryptid. My paintings also comprise imagery in the Cryptozoo park itself, like the Cryptozoo Toy shop here. All of these paintings were developed in collaboration with Dash and other artists. Cryptozoo won the NEXT Innovator Prize presented by Adobe at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.
