After people either meet Lauren, Sarah, and I together or hear about our story of friendship, they often say something along the lines of, “That’s really amazing” or “You three really have a special friendship.” I’ve never really taken those comments to heart until recently while I was thinking of what to say for this post. In response to those comments, we usually do a typical, “Thanks so much” or “Yeah, we’re really lucky!” Something to just shrug it off because to each other, we’re just Lauren, Sarah, and Andy. Thinking about those comments made me realize how special that friendship has been. Over their past 24 years, I’ve been blessed to be a part of 7.5 of those years. Years filled with memories, joy, and happiness that make me not able to remember a day without my best friends. 2021 has been busy and full of our ups and downs. Successes and rock bottoms and more successes. We’ve been there for each other through each one. They’ve been there for me and I cannot be more thankful to call them my best friends. In turn, happy 24th birthday to my best friends who are more like sisters to me. I can’t see a world without you both. Congratulations [finally] to Sarah on her commencement from Gettysburg! It's been a long time coming, but this weekend we were able to celebrate you and every single accomplishment you had during your time at G'burg.
