Magic World, by The Electric Bends

The Electric Bends is a band formed by members of Q-Games in Kyoto, Japan.  They jam on their lunchbreak and after hours.  Really enjoyed this album, which was released on 21st May 2013.  

Excellent music for programming to - small wonder as it the band was formed by the crew who made games like PixelJunk: Eden and PixelJunk: 4am.

The Batten Farm

Somewhere in the middle of nowhere (close to Tavistock) there lies a dairy farm owned and run by the Batten family, like it has been for around 500 years.  

I had a grand ol' day out, playing with the cows (pictured), watching some sheep porn (pictured) and eating a lamb named Lilly (not pictured due to digestion).  John taught me loads about how their farm works and I definitely left a more informed man than when I arrived.

We've been toying with the idea of putting up a Mutant Labs shop selling t-shirts and nick-nacks for a while. So, one free-range Friday, Alex and Ben set themselves the challenge of turning this dream into reality.  Through a cheeky bit of web development and some saucy web design we've now put our first shop live with the original 'Hometown Tee' and the newly appointed 'Hometown Crew' for sale (both illustrated by our resident illustrator Chris Mayoh).

Sonic Boom Six @ White Rabbit, Plymouth

15/11/12 @ 8pm

Sonic Boom Six are a five piece from Manchester, bringing a fresh and unique vibe to one of Plymouth's top venues, White Rabbit.  They'll be thrusting their blend of rap, metal and dubstep straight into the brain of the not-so-innocent onlookers this Thursday.  I'll be there, knee deep in the hyper-energetic atmosphere that these guys are promising.
