INTERSTICE
Probing the illusive boundary itself, Interstice presents the veil as a self-contained magic trick: a shapeshifting second skin loaded with potential energy to manipulate identities and temporal-spatial dimensions that would otherwise be rendered immeasurable in its absence. Interstice is an attempt to pass through the veil that obscures our collective vision to reach a space in-between. An interstitial space.

This boar was shot in Morgan Hill in Northern California. Boars are aggressive there and are shot for pest control. It isn’t certain why the fat on this boar is bright blue, and a sample is being sent to UC Davis for analysis. The color could have something to do with DuPont Oil Blue A or Keystone Oil Blue A, which is a dye used to attract rodents to poisoned foods, while deterring other animals. Hunters should be warned not to eat animals with blue fat, as they could be poisoned.
