“I’m starting to regret taking this thing off,” Eric said with a sigh, flicking the edge of his masquerade mask. He glanced up with a shake of his head, a forced smile gracing his lips when he looked to the person nearest to him. “I’ve been mistaken for a waiter three times now.” God, he needed to upgrade his wardrobe – or maybe just stop double-fisting the champagne. Easing up on the drinking tonight, though, didn’t seem like a feasible option. Not when his wrist itched a particular envelope felt like it was burning a hole in his breast pocket. Eric was shooting for tipsy, if not drunk, to commemorate the moment he officially met his future spouse. So, to continue with that plan, he swiped two flutes of champagne from a passing waiter, this time turning towards the other to offer one of the glasses. “Help me out here.”
The coldness of Bleak Falls has surely taken over her, Andrey mused as she lurched through the crowd, watching blurs flittering about, chattering filling her ear as she inhales the flourish scents and luscious perfumes, which make her nauseous. She wrinkled her nose, suddenly missing her damp dark office. Erzebeth still kept a painting of Andrey hanging at the ballroom, and she had to bite the inside of her cheek when she passed it, doing her best not to scoff. The marked itched, as if demanding Andrey to pay it attention, think about it. She refused, deciding to busy her mind with alcohol instead. Catching the man's words, she chuckled, giving a soft nod of her head and accepting the flute with a quiet 'thank you' as she placed her hand in the pocket of her well-fitted suit pants. "If I may ask," she started, giving a quick glance around the room before returning her attention back to the man, "why did you take it off? Seems like a poor decision. The Order is very strict with their... orders." Taking a sip of her champagne, she waved her hand in the direction of the gardens, and continued, her tone serious and dry, "and the ghosts might be able to recognize you when you leave."
