well, for the prowlingspider au w/ miles i sort of just wondered oh what would happen if prowler miles got bit but still had to take up the mantle of the prowler while still having to deal with being a spider-person - but mostly just inspired by what little we've gotten of earth 42 the fanboy au's kinda old now but i think it started cuz i got really into ghostpunkflower and i drew this one doodle of miles with glasses cuz a friend of mine at the time also had a hc similar to that - and i thought lol nerd - and ig my brain went down the thought process of like!! what if i switched stuff up and miles was the "gwen" of the universe (police captain dad, close to spider-man - or spider-people in this au's case) and it was a corny secret identity superhero shenanigans kinda deal 70's au is loosely based on some old mid-late-mid century magazine art i really liked - ahhh sorry i havent made much art for the au's in a while !!! it's sort of been shelved for a bit but i'll try making some more stuff

LOTS OF PUNK STAMPS! (part 1)

Here we are with another part of music genre stamps. Just like the goth stamps i made, its a "my favorite genre is in this stamp" + aesthetic stamp combo.

Punk genres listed for this batch, because theres so many punk genres

Anarcho-Punk (i.e. Crass, Rudimentary Peni, The Mob, Lost Cherrees)

Celtic Punk - punk + celtic music (i.e. Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly)

Chain Punk - from the meme involving "chain vs egg punk". Has more hardcore punk roots, aggressive

Egg punk - from the meme involving "chain vs egg punk". Quite similar to synth punk due to usage of synths.

Crust punk (i.e. Nausea, Axegrinder, Doom, Deviated Instinct. Aus Rotten)

D-Beat - artwork inspired by those "d beat album covers that has band members censored eyes". Bands like Discharge (where the genre name is from), Anti Cimex, Driller Killer

Emo/Emotional Hardcore (more focused on bands like Rites of Spring, American Football, Jimmy Eat World, and all of those stuff. I'll try to make a different emo stamp for the likes of MCR, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore)

Folk Punk (i.e. Pat the Bunny, Days n Daze, Mischief Brew)

Grindcore - even it's more related to metal. I decided to include here since it was rooted from hardcore punk. Example bands: Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror

Digital Hardcore - electronic music + hardcore punk. Some mostly use guitars (i.e. Rabbit Junk) and some will have mostly electronic sounds than guitar (i.e. Machine Girl). Decided to have more cyberpunk aesthetic for this, 'cause it sounds like stuff you play in middle of a fight in a cyberpunk world

Hardcore Punk - apparently "hardcore" can mean different music genres (Beatdown hardcore is one of it but theres also hardcore techno), but lets focus on the punk. Bands like Bad Brains, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, and Minor Threat.

Horror Punk - spooky punk music. (i.e. Blitzkid, Misfits, Calabrese)

Oi! (i.e. Oi Polloi, Angelic Upstarts, Camera Silens)

Punk Rock - supposedly for the classic punk rock sound but stamp can be used for punk rock in general. Example bands: The Clash, Ramones, Sex Pistols

Ska punk (i.e. Operation Ivy, Less than Jake, Against all Authority)

Skate Punk - something you have heard on Tony Hawk pro skater games. Anyway... bands like NOFX, Suicidal Tendencies (also metal), Pennywise

Street Punk (i.e. GBH, Varukers, UK Subs)

Synth Punk (i.e the Screamers, Suicide, Devo)

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

Miles didn’t see the hit coming.

One second, he was mid-air, dodging fire from some tech villain. The next, a blast of raw energy struck him square in the chest, sending him crashing through a billboard and straight into the cold, asphalt streets below.

Pain exploded through his body. His vision blurred, his breathing came in short, ragged gasps, and for a terrifying moment, he couldn’t move.

He heard Miguel shouting something in his earpiece. Pavitr’s voice was there too, he thinks, panicked but distant, like they were far away instead of just overhead.

And then

“Holy shit, Miles-”

Oh, Hobie.

The next thing Miles knew, strong hands were gripping his shoulders, pulling him upright. His head lolled forward against a familiar shoulder, the scent of pepper and burnt leather filling his senses.

Hobie was saying something, but Miles’ heart was beating way too loud to hear anything over it.

Now he sounded irritated. And maybe a little freaked out.

“Oi, stay with me, yeah?” Hobie’s fingers ghosted over Miles’ torso before pressing against his ribs, feeling for injuries. “Shit, mate, you’re bleedin..”

Miles groaned, forcing his eyes open. “M fine,” he mumbled, even though he definitely wasn’t. His entire body felt like it had been slammed by a train, and his suit was torn, the fabric dark and wet where the blast had hit.

Hobie scoffed, “Right, not like you’re bleeding all over me or anything”

The battle was still raging overhead, but Hobie wasn’t moving. He was crouched low, shielding Miles with his body like he’d personally fight off anyone who even thought about coming near them. His hands were shaking. Weird.
