“I think I can manage that.” He said with a grin, following where she was pointing. After a bit of a struggle, he reached out for the book. “Alright… so I’m not as tall as I think I am apparently.”

Andromeda watched on eagerly, fingers crossed that Frank would manage to reach the book, but, to her credit, didn’t laugh when he failed. “You’re certainly taller than I am, at any rate,” she said. The shortest of her sisters and cousins, Andromeda’s height always seemed to be her downfall in this library. “Thank you for trying to help, though.” After a beat, she had another thought. “Are you any good with levitation?" she asked.

    a canary smile as she turns to the brunette, a witch she’s known through the network of their families for a long time now. in secret, someone she’s admired as well for not giving a damn what others thought, specifically her own parents. a girl like dorcas could get behind that. “i could. but what’s in it for me ?”

“My undying love and affection,” Andromeda replied cloyingly, giving Dorcas a bright smile. “She’s never given me another chance on the whole ‘levitating them down’ business after a mishap second year,” she explained rolling her eyes, “and she watches me like an eagle owl. It’s aggravating.”

Bellatrix talking about something that had no relation to herself or The Dark Lord? “Uhm. What?” She looked over at her sister with quite the shocked expression plastered across her pale face. “I… what?”

She could backtrack, sure, but this time Andie didn’t think she was going to back it all the way up. Not once had Andromeda ever claimed that she planed or desired to break from her family’s mold, and she felt secure in the sense that perhaps a small explanation could help her sister be a little more concerned about her well-being than her loyalty. “You know it creeps me out when He does things like that,” she said, referencing the way he’d spoken inside everyone’s heads.  “It gave me the heebie jeebies at the gala, and I would just rather not think about it, or talk about it. My skin is still crawling.” Andie shuddered, far more dramatically than she would have normally, adding emphasis to her creeped-outness, in the hopes her sister would relent. “There’s got to be something else we could talk about.

“Okay, so, here’s the thing... The book I need is on the very top shelf of that bookcase, and, well, obviously I’m not going to climb on a chair to get it, because I’m a lady, not a hooligan, and Pince doesn’t really love it when I bring them down magically, because, well, actually that’s a whole  different story on it’s own..” She trailed off, momentarily forgetting where she’d been going with her original train of thought. She brightened as she remembered, continuing on with, “Anyways... Think you can help me? Please?”

     “Are you going to say something about me having BAD habits, or are you staring because you want to bum a smoke off me?”

“Uhhh... neither,” Andie said, dragging it out just a tad more than necessary. “I have my own, and I came out to do the same thing, so who am I to judge?” she continued, shrugging. “But... I was never here. That’s the important part,” she added, laughing.

“this table is taken,” regulus doesn’t look up from his textbook. the library table is pretty much covered in his stuff, but the three seats around him are devoid of people or objects. “look somewhere else, please.”

Andromeda scoffed, ignoring her cousin’s attempt to maintain his privacy and solitude. “Nice try, but not gonna happen,” she said, grinning cheekily at Regulus. “You’d have to try a lot harder than that to get rid of me, Regs,” she added, dropping her bag onto the table and planting herself in the seat beside him. “What are you working on?”

“Have you made your choice yet? You know there is only one right way to go about this.” Of course Bellatrix was talking about the ultimatum that her master had set in place about a month ago. There was the biggest smile on her face as she asked. Curious about the others choice.

Andromeda sighed as her sister asked once again. “Bells, can we talk about literally anything else? Please?” She was not a fan of Lord Voldemort, or any of his plans - not that that was something she could voice out loud, especially not to Bellatrix. Just the thought of the Dark Lord, and her sister was beaming, while Andie was anything but. “Please. For me.”

There were once three sisters who were traveling along a lonely, winding road at twilight.  Though the sisters shared a name, they did not share a heart.

The eldest sister had a dark heart. She relished in cruelty and pain, in the power it gave her. It made her mad.

The second sister had a rebellious heart. She believed in love, hoping it would grant her the freedom she was desperate for. It made her lonely.

The third and youngest sister had a wise heart.  She was strong, but reserved, and knew when to be silent. It made her invisible.
