Touches Ask Game - SWSH x Reader Drabbles (reuploaded)
Reuploading my drabbles of Leon/Raihan/Piers x Reader stuff I did a while ago - theyâre all up on my AO3 if anyone wants to read them (too lazy to upload them all back onto my Tumblr rn lol). Thanks for reading~!
Reminder that the prompts were requested by various people and based on the Touches Ask Game list provided by @/creativepromptsforwritingÂ
Hello! Just popping in real quick to say that Iâve gotten a couple suspicious comments with nonsense & a link. For reference, they look like this:
I am deleting comments like these without regard because they are likely spam or malicious links. As such, please refrain from posting any links on my fanfics -- of course, exceptions can be made with thorough explanation and verification that the links arenât malicious or spam, but if they seem suspicious I will 100% delete comments from here on out that strike me as bots or as potentially dangerous.
That being said, allow me to run through a little Online Scam PSA. If you are unsure of the warning signs of a scam, hazard links, etc, please click to read more :)
I highly recommend all my followers to study up on ways to prevent yourself from being hacked or scammed -- be wary of any suspicious/unprompted emails, comments, or messages promising some kind of financial support or âfreeâ gift. If you can, avoid even clicking on a message (especially DMs or texts) as these can potentially lead to your computer or account being hacked. Absolutely, under no circumstances should you ever send money to people you are unfamiliar with, unprompted and unreasonably. If they are accusing you of debt and are demanding payment through gift cards or Bitcoin, it is a 100% a scam and you will not be able to receive your money back.
I am not a legal reference, but my dad is a fraud detective who specializes in Embezzlement, Pyramid Schemes/White Collar Crime, and most common forms of Fraud, so I try to offer that knowledge whenever possible to protect others. If youâre ever unsure if something is a scam or if an offer seems too good to be true, itâs likely bad news :D But seriously, donât be afraid to drop in my DMs any questions/comments/concerns if yâall have any questions on the matter bc the world is crazy rn and none of us can afford to lose more money than we already are XD
Iâm more active on my main Tumblr @danni-dollarsign, so send DMs there if you can! Thank you and pls be careful out there!!!
[Piers/Reader]Â âKiss on 3, Okay? 1, 2... 2 and a half... umm???â
OOOOOooooo Iâm working up my sanity and skill to write fanfic again so what better way to do that than by procrastinating on a paper due later tonight WHOOOHOOOOO!!!!
SUMMARY:Â âYou're working on music for Piers' next set, and confirm a few things to yourself. Really just mindless fluff/angst stuff in a very stream-of-consciousness ficlet - don't mind me~~~â

âUhhhmmm --â his humming interrupts your thoughts â-- I beg yer pardon?â
You turn back towards Piers, blinking ever so innocently as you stirred the honey further into your cheap, instant-make coffee. His brows are furrowed, thick black barbs of shadows wrenched into one along his forehead. Blue eyes piercing -- he hates whenever you say that.
âWhatâs the matter now?â
He jabs his thumb back towards the computer screen. âWhat the hell did you do to the second chorus?â
âI put it into cut time.â
âWhy?â
ââCause,â you linger on the sizzle of your words, resolving itâs hiss with a swig of your piping-hot coffee, âit mellows things down for a bit, gives everyone a breather.â
He scoffs, glancing down at the notation software on the computer you presented to him not too long ago. âYeah, right. Like I ever need a breather.â
You donât deny that statement. Better sip your coffee before that thought ramps up.
He drags his eyes across the screen once more. One finger rests instinctively around the silver of his choker, toying with its spikes and slides, mindless, clueless -- you were sure by now that he had no idea of how often he fidgeted with that damn thing. Once, youâd caught him doing it almost fifty times in one sitting; you were watching a new show -- together, for once -- legs tangled up below a heated blanket he insisted you buy before winter hit (even though he always ended up hogging it the whole time). Too distracted to watch, you pretended to watch, while watching other, more important things. Specifically someoneâs nervous ticks.
His left hand slaps the spacebar. Listening to a payback of some section -- probably the bridge, you think to yourself as you steal another sip of your coffee. Good thing youâd bought some honey this time; Piers prefers his coffee as black as night, and while you werenât against that, sometimes you needed to bring some goddamn happiness into your life. Piers oughta figure that out too -- heâs getting there, you figure. Heâs getting there, even if it takes baby-steps cut in half.
He pulls out the earbuds. Shooting you an incredulous look, you make the poor decision to muscle through your mouthful of coffee -- there goes most of it, spilling down your lips and onto your shirt as the laughter shoots through you in a disastrous tremolo.
âYer shittinâ me --â heâs trying not to laugh -- you know heâs holding it down, trying still to play like a hardass, â-- what the actuall fuck is happening after the bridge?!â
âOh -- so you got to the fun part then, yeah?â
He snaps your name -- his snarl always loses its edge then, when it has to deal with matters of you -- and Marnie too, but thatâs a different tone altogether. You meet his glare, smug despite your coffee stains. âDo I look like a bloody Octillery or what?â
Another laugh slips out of you. âItâs just a little metric modulation, a little tempo shift, no big deal -- a little extra practice and I know you can handle a few itsy-bits quintuplets on bass, yeah?â
âYer killinâ me.â
You shrug. Makes us even, then.
Finally satisfied with your drink (or what little you actually got to drink), you deposit your mug into the awaiting sink before taking the long way around the kitchen back to him. His eyes are back onto the screen once more, lost to the world of not-music, his thumb pricking itself with the dull point of the upper spikes in his collar.
Pfft, collar -- you called it that once, teasing the metal in your own fingers, wanting to see his reaction. He had stared you down for so long that day, default sternness remaining hauntingly so on his face, you almost pulled away, afraid that you had gravely overstepped your boundaries. Before you made it out of reach, he flicked the wrist of your retreating hand, hiding his snicker with the click of his tongue -- âDo that again and yer gonna be the one fitted for a collar, got it?â Youâve been stuck here ever since, hopeless and thoughtless, trailing after the likes of someone who literally forgets to do amazingly simple things, like actually drink his disgustingly bitter coffee.
âOh, right,â he mutters, watching you snake around behind him to retrieve his half-drunk coffee cup from the table. You can feel him stealing glances as you pop the cup into the microwave. His wordless thanks reach you even still, easier and faster with every day you stick around. Hell, one day he might even figure out how to say it.
You donât let your thoughts dwell too long on things that canât be helped; instead, you swivel around again, crossing your arms over your chest with a curious tilt of the head. âThoughts?â
He glances down at the screen. Lips pursing, frowns furrowing, jaw clenching -- goddamn this isnât fair. This is hardly a fair fight. Youâd told him that before, too, shamelessly honest and true with your feelings for once -- âRelax, itâs just one battle -- youâll catch up to me soon enough.â He hadnât gotten it, but itâs not like you made it easy for him to understand. The two of you were amazing at these foolishly clever ways to say half-truths, burrowing feelings beneath computer screens and heated blankets and honey-less coffee -- a match made in heaven, one may say. Not you, though, not aloud.
He sighs, a crooked smile sparking instinctively onto his face.
âGuess Iâd better get practicinâ then. Donât wanna disappoint my music theorist, right?â
Itâs your turn to scoff. Youâre even there, too.
âNot a thing, but okay.â
âEh, close enough.â
The microwaves beeps. Piersâ eyes are back onto the computer screen, everything pursed and furrowed and knotted and tangled and just a step out of reach. You open the little door to pull out his warmed, not-sweet-enough-or-at-all coffee, cheap and easy, to bring back to his side. You do so, ignoring the stains on your white work shirt that youâll likely have to bleach late tonight, knowing Piersâll use your every weakness in effort to keep you around a little while longer to practice his next set. And you do so well, knowing that youâre here hopelessly and thoughtlessly, finding every stolen glance -- every wordless thanks -- from him to be worth it a thousand times over.
1. You are responsible for your own media experience.Â
2. There is such a thing as a healthy level of avoidance towards topics that make you feel unwell or even (in a real-life clinical definition of the term) trigger you - but you are the one to actively take care of what you view.
3. Avoiding does not mean policing others.
4. You have no right to tell artists to censor themselves - you may criticize what others do, you may dislike it, thatâs fine - but actively asking for censorship when you could easily unfollow or block a person just makes you look incompetent in your use of the internet.
5. Do not give people on tumblr or /any/ website the responsibility for your emotional well-being. Because these people do not even know you so no, you have no right to ask them to take care of you.
6. Content creators are not your parents and owe you nothing, not even a breakdown on why their content isnât problematic. You donât get to demand a dissertation denouncing any and everything unhealthy in a piece you donât like. Move on.
7. Tagging is a nicety but not an obligation. You can message people, politely, and ask them to tag things, and many people will, but understand that itâs their blog and they arenât obliged to say yes. Unfollow and block when you need to. Circling back to number 1, you are responsible for curating your own experience.
8. Donât be a jerk. Remember at the end of the day, there are actual living, breathing people behind each screen name. Donât say anything you wouldnât say to someoneâs face in real life.Â
9. Respect others who set boundaries for themselves. Donât create fake accounts to go around a block. Donât harass someone who unfollows you. People do not owe you any explanation of why their boundaries are there but you DO owe them the decency of respecting them.

Writing is such an amazing art form. Youâre essentially sculpting a living, breathing universe full of sounds, sights, and feelings with only the tools of your imagination, 26 letters and a lot of patience to help you, and honestly, the fact that youâre able to do that is not only unbelievable, but also metal as fuck.
I explained this to my seven-year-old cousin once when she expressed distaste over anyone possibly enjoying horror movies, and she understood perfectly, so adults have no excuse:Â
People read dark fiction for the same reason they ride roller coasters.Â
Itâs a simulation of danger without anyone actually being under threat. It gets the brain worked up, releases a bunch of adrenaline into your system, you experience a whole rush of emotions and excitement and fear; but a safe kind of fear, where you know the danger isnât real and there are dozens of measures in place to protect you. And then itâs over and you can get off the ride.
That doesnât mean everyone is obligated to ride roller coasters. I, for example, am scared of heights, and most coasters are scary for me in a way that isnât fun. The fear isnât that Iâll die, the fear is of experiencing more of the ride and thus itâs not a safe fear, because itâs real and I have no control over it. As such, I donât ride large roller coasters. But the fact that large coasters are not mentally or emotionally safe for me to ride doesnât mean they should be illegal, or that thereâs âsomething wrongâ with anyone who enjoys them.
Similarly, sometimes accidents happen. Sometimes people have conditions they donât know about until a coaster aggravates them in the worst possible way because they didnât know to avoid itâŚand thatâs no oneâs fault. People have died or been injured in coaster accidents, and those accidents are pretty much always the result of human error, carelessness, laziness, or poor communication. Itâs the responsibility of the amusement park to make sure that basic safety features are built-in and maintainedâor at the very least (mangling the metaphor somewhat because this would obviously be illegal in real life) to make it clear that those features donât exist! I feel like most people would avoid a ride clearly labelled âHAS NEVER HAD A SAFETY INSPECTION! NO RESTRAINT BARS! RIDE STAFF HAVE NOT BEEN TRAINED AND THERE ARE NO EMERGENCY SERVICES ON-SITE! OPEN FLAMES!â but if you click on a fic clearly labelled âauthor chose not to use warningsâ you know the risks and theyâve met their obligation to warn you of them. And sometimes the people providing this content donât perform that basic due diligence, and people get hurt as a resultâbut thatâs on those specific bad actors, and doesnât mean we ban all roller coasters. It also doesnât mean every single ride operator on earth should be tarred with that brush, especially when theyâve openly spoken out against such practices! Furthermore, if you KNOW you have a heart condition and willingly get on a ride that says it is not safe for people with heart conditions, you cannot then blame the amusement park!
What makes roller coasters safe for me? Well, for one, the fact that Iâm an adult now so my family has finally stopped trying to force me onto them. Pressure was a constant part of interacting with coasters for me for YEARS, and THAT fucked me up. There was âmildâ teasing, frustration when I refused, anger if I changed my mind, and a lot of guilt-tripping about how it was my fault that they couldnât go on the rides they wanted to because of me. That shit was not okay, and anyone trying to force someone to engage with content they donât want to is obviously in the wrong.
The OTHER thing that helps me is content warnings the heroes who upload on-ride video of coasters Iâm interested in trying. Knowing exactly what to expectâbeing able to see for myself all the drops so I can judge if theyâll be too much for me, and know in advance where they are so I can brace myselfâcan turn a ride that otherwise would have been a miserable and stressful experience that I chose not to subject myself to into a really good time. These are especially valuable, because whatâs safe for ME is not automatically safe for everyone else. The only thing that makes a ride too much for meâmy only hard limitâis extremely tall drops. I love inversions, fast twists and turns, I donât mind rough coasters, itâs just drop height. But Iâve known people with medical conditions that made rough jolts dangerous, and plenty of people like tall drops but find tight turns and high speed overwhelming. Do I wish more coasters were designed to have the elements I enjoy without the ones I donât? Yes, and not being able to find many frustrates me. But that doesnât mean I expect everyone to have the same limits, or that I think people who design tall coasters with big drops and lots of airtime are malicious.
By this logic, actually, darkfic is much safer than roller coastersâonce youâve committed to a coaster you have to ride it out even if you change your mind. But the moment a dark fic or horror movie takes a turn you donât like or becomes suddenly too real, you can turn it off and walk away.
And if you think enjoying roller coasters means someone will conclude that itâs okay to fling people off cliffs without their consent, then, well, in that case youâre just ungodly fucking stupid. Sorry you had to find out this way.
Have fun on those hypercoasters, you crazy bastards. Keep uploading ride videos for me.
I think the thing that worries me so much about this tumblr plus bullshit isnât the fact that creators can put their stuff behind a pay wall - for everyday regular bloggers thatâs fine! Do what you want I guess.
But fanfiction writers CANNOT do this. Point blank PERIOD!
And some might say âoh but Aeryn itâs a choice! You donât have to do it!â And, yes I KNOW this. I know itâs a choice. But younger fanfic creators out there may not be aware of the absolute shit show that went down several years ago where people SUED fanfiction writers over their work. And that is dangerous for many reasons.
These companies that own the characters we love do. Not. Care. About us. They will sue us the second some fanfic creator unwittingly uses this paywall to gain money from their fanfiction works. That is illegal. You CANNOT do that. You cannot gain money from fanfiction Bc technically it isnât yours. The characters and the worlds are not ours and if just one of us gets caught doing it tumblr will get sued and we all know they donât have the money to fight them and tumblr will go poof.
This post isnât meant to be rude or demeaning or condescending. I am just genuinely so so worried about this because if it takes off, tumblr as a fandom space is as good as gone. And as much as I call this place a âhell siteâ I do love it. I love the community Iâve built here and the friends Iâve made and I donât want to lose it because of the IDIOTS at yahoo want more money.
*sigh* so - please complain to tumblr about this and hope to god it doesnât actually happen. For all fanfic writers sake.
(this is the rec-asking anon)ďźâď˝âďźW-wow, thank u for such a detailed answer! I just thought you'd post a bullet list but this is so helpful, thank you! And big sad about the lack of good Raihan fics TT-TT I noticed that too, part of the reason why I came to you haha. At least I have TDW to fall back on. I have seen the Dappled Grove one, though I haven't read it yet for whatever reason, but if it's recced by u it'll surely be good. same w Piers fics! Thank you so much again, ur so nice!
Of course, friend! And if u (or any of y'all for that matter) ever wanna gush over any of those fics in my ask box or DMs legit just barge on in and make urself at home, fam lmaooooo! Thank you ^w^ !!!
I followed you from Ao3 and I have to say I love how you write! I'm wondering if you have any recommendations for other Pokemon SwSh fics you like? I'm picky but I trust your judgement because I like how you write... sorry if this is weird or too much work, you definitely don't have to if you don't want to! Thanks for writing \^o^/
No worries! This is actually a really great question - thank you for asking (and for the complements)~~~ ^w^ I'm so honored you want my Swsh recs!
I don't really have many, to be fair, since (no judgement to other writers) I'm also quite picky with my media (and also read more smut than totally sfw fics umm gfjgdfhj) but here's some fics that I particularly enjoy reading a few times over~!
~ ANDROMEDARUNE'S SWSH FIC RECS ~
Okay, so my top SFW recommendation is def Dappled Grove by missusk (Ao3 here) - a Leon/Reader that is so evocative, so dreamy yet tangibly realistic that I'd recommend it to fans who do enjoy traditionally long chapters and novels (we're talking like a 130k word fic here) who want the comfort of an established character, want a reasonably realistic wild setting (with your classic Pokemon frivolities, of course), and a euphorically romantic storyline that gives comfort as well as angst-to-fluff warmth that I cannot praise enough. Don't even get me started on the prose, like, jhgkdfgfhg the writing is so good you'd be surprised that it's a free-to-read fanfic and not something you'd find at a traditionally bookstore. 1000% recommended by me.
Another SFW Leon/Reader rec is La Lune by omi_writings (Ao3 here). This one is a bit more down-to-earth with regards to the threat level - and definitely hits home for the more reserved reader. It's a pretty digestible length of 21k words (4 chapters), and is a childhood friends to lovers that honestly I'm always a sucker for. If you're looking for something with a tinge of angst in a home setting, but also has flashes of whimsicality and fluff that really makes the heart beat, then definitely worth giving this older fic a read!
A SWF Piers/Reader that I legit re-read once a week is lofi hip hop radio - beats to chill/fall in love to by bostghuster (Ao3 here). It's SO soft like, I physically cannot. As a music lover, I loved reading through this reader-insert bc it just has so much fun, realistic moments where you just kinda go "Ey, what a mood." Plus it's a Piers story and I can't help but love him so much eejfhdgfdgfdj truly my comfort character these days, so seeing him portrayed in a soft, comforting manner really just slaps.
A NSFW Piers/Reader fic (mostly sfw, but Ch3 is all spice, bb) also by bostghuster is Situationship (Ao3 here). Similarly soft Piers, but this time with a deeper/longer storyline and substantially more angst. It can come across as a bit cheesy with the use of your usual angst/romance fic tropes, but I like the cheese tbh bc I feel its quite tasteful in this context given the good writing and characterization of Piers. Def give this one a go if that stuff's up your alley.
This all being said, there aren't too many Raihan fics I can recommend - a lot of his x reader tag is, ah, shameless smut with no real plot (which kind of is a deterrent for me in most cases). Much of his stuff that does have plot elements I personally didn't finish or the fic itself is in hiatus hell (totally relate oof), but I do wanna at least recommend a Rai fic that I do like to reread on the occasional is a NSFW one called It's a Lifestyle by pkmndeirdre (Ao3 here). While there is a lot of fuckin going on here, there really is a compelling plot line that totally held my interest as well as adding substance to the sex scenes without overdramatizing it. Plus, an interesting plot line that I hadn't read previously, perfectly complemented with its amazing writing that suits the characters' personality as well as the content matter! It's not finished and may never be, but certainly gives a taste of a great narrative that perhaps can inspire another reader to write something of their own (without stealing the original idea, of course).
aaaaannnd yeah those are my recs~! Normally I stick in the x-reader tags, but if any of y'all happen to come across a fic that you think I'd be into (or just wanna promote it for whatever reason), feel free to mention them in an ask! I'll give my honest opinion (so don't expect me to just praise everything, sorry) but yeah! Thanks for the ask, friend!
Just to reiterate that reblog from a while ago about ffnet dying and how one day probably soon we're gonna blink and it'll just be gone:
I'm trying to make backups of the few things I'm not too embarrassed to keep from Way Back When (because I'm also like 4+ computers beyond what I originally wrote that shit on and some of it got lost in data migrations)
And guys
The password recovery is NON FUNCTIONAL.
That site is circling the drain, so if you've got stuff on there you want to keep, go save it now.
This has been a PSA from your local digital archivist/ fandom old.
There will be one (1) poop joke in this chapter - check it out on Ao3 and/or Wattpad~!
Updates still will be slow, but nonetheless Iâm still plugging away at this literary dumpster fire lol! So thanks for being so patient, those of you who keep up with that fic!
