there are some people who know how to claim songs as their own. the emotions originally portrayed in these songs may or may not be manifested as the way they ought to be, but these very special people know how to make up for it. taking on the hit rocket man by elton john, jason mraz does this exact same thing--bringing up his own magic, and being the catalyst to the magic that the audience did not know that they too could possess.

a strong lyrical opening for a song that embodies solemn mundanity. this is a song about how looking back is a lot easier than taking the past back.
post-rock bands have the best band names. i feel as if they can get away with just about anything.
