while rereading the comics for reference, i noticed that the cig spy gave sniper already has ashes on the tip, which means that spy was so done with everything that he doesn’t care enough to grab a new cig and and pass the lighter, he just gave sniper the one he’s already smoking and light a new one for himself

Yes there’s the couples and the mercs working for their families, but also the baboon and the Dalmatian from earlier on … they weren’t forgotten. Archimedes and the Eyelander.

Demo’s ma pinching Soldier’s baby’s cheek and laughing about his eye - she’s clearly moved on but not forgotten Demo’s dad. Sniper’s folks are long dead now but he’s still surrounded by family. Heavy’s sisters have all the freedom they want and his ma has a whole happy family. Ms Pauling providing the mega turkey. Spy. Just Spy.

The whole thing being dedicated to Rick May. The sheer fact that comic 7 was finished at ALL was because the audience loved it so much, and the artists loved their audience
