Soooooo Rekindle the Flame kinda confirmed my theory that the thing Akito hates most is the feeling of stagnation. That horrible feeling that no matter what you do, you aren't improving. If you stop growing even for a second, you grow complacent, you hit a wall, you can't feel anything but frustration for yourself, because why can't you keep improving, why am I still stuck here.

Despite being able to find a bit of the spark the fire of his passion in the event and finding some growth, he's still mainly fueled by anxiety to not be left behind, which isn't sustainable and will lead to an even worse burnout in the future.
