I have died and gone to fic heaven... ๐คฃ
Okay, so I was not the first evidently to write a Kiefer/Kiefer crossover series. Maybe the writer I just found wasn't, either? "They" do say there's no such thing as a completely original idea. And fanfic is borrowed/upcycled story ideas, to begin with.
They have a really cool piece on AO3 that I have just started reading. Narration comes from his character from Mirrors. As he's trapped in the mirror realm, he encounters his own doppelgangers (AH FAMILIAR...).
This author shipped Kiefer/Kiefer, which is interesting. I'm intrigued by the note about David/Jack Bauer. Seems maybe unconventional on the surface, but Bauer was a bit of a renegade, and rough around the edges. I didn't finish the 24 series, because honestly all the torture got to be A LOT. I do remember him kicking quite a bit of ass.
Interestingly, Nelson is the first one to suggest sex, as a diversion while they puzzle through how to get out of the dimension they're in. Bauer SEEMS to offer, but humiliates him, instead (BAD Jack!). Not sure how the David/Bauer dynamic will play out, but I could see it as competition/antagonism leading to hate sex leading to more.
It's "Behind the Mirror aka Kieferverse," for the curious. Pretty well done, thus far? I left a beefy comment, appreciating the concept, and giving a little description of my Flatliners/Lost Boys crossover structure. That one felt the most pertinent, as far as similarities.
Do you see the vision? ๐คฃ
Tho I feel like if Jack said that to David, David would laugh and insist they throw down immediately, wherever they were, whoever was around. Chaos ensues, and the fight gets heated. ๐
