The Pitt S2 E9
People getting upset with this tweet is so funny because this is the downside of The Pitt being a real-time fiction show. Like, yeah, obviously the Pittfest shooting day is gonna be important, but also it is kinda funny that not much else has happened to these characters.
Think about it. What are some important things that have happened to the characters in the 10 months between Season 1 and Season 2?
Langdon goes to rehab
Robby announces his sabbatical
King gets named in a malpractice suit
Collins moves away
Other things are brought up (ex. Whitaker is doing street team stuff) but those things are really only just "hey, we remember some detail from Season 1" bits.
But the things happening in that off-screen list are just extensions of Season 1, which again was just one (1) 15 hour day, so it really feels like there isn't much else going on in these people's lives. And on some level, I do believe that's intentional for character work being laid out. Mohan worrying that she's lost any and all chance to have a life outside of her career makes that gulf between Season 1 and Season 2 impactful... but she's one of the few (only?) characters that has had some other, unrelated, important things happen to her in the 10 months!
If there's one thing that The Pitt could work on it's making their world feel bigger. Yes, obviously, we are with them in the most dramatic moments of their lives. However, that doesn't mean nothing happens between those days!
I hate to be the guy who always brings up the TV show 24, but it's the only other show I've seen do this specific type of real-time fiction lol! Anyways, a lot of stuff happens between the various Days of 24 that are extremely important the main characters. The world of 24 never feels like it doesn't progress when the lights aren't on and the cameras aren't rolling, which is part of the appeal. You're getting to see Jack Bauer on the worst days of his life, while also learning how the world has progressed to make this new day even worse than the last. You would think "Jack Bauer had to go undercover and develop a drug addiction to keep that cover" is already bad, but then it will be made worse because it will become relevant during the tv show that revolves around showcasing the absolute worst days of Jack Bauer's life.
NPMD- a skel'e'un? I'm so fucking scared of skel'e'unss

.ᐟ.ᐟ You Think You Know What's Going To Happen? (24)
this design is a reference to the show "24" that aired from 2001 to 2010 (this specific design is from 2005). its an action drama that follows a counter terrorism agent and has a format that uses episodes to depict one hour at a time (similar to the pitt!). along with the design on the front, the back says "You Don't Know Jack!" which is a reference to the main character Jack Bauer!
a better look at the design below!!
A moment of appreciation
