I have a new HC - This wasn't intentional

Depending on the soul intake (or Gwi-Ma's soul intake?), the boys' bodies just shut/cool down for about 5-10 minutes (maybe longer) because they only have so much. Shifting between forms must obviously be pretty hectic if you don't have enough energy for it in the first place.

They most likely didn't have enough soul energy here, yet they tried to last as long as they could. But after they shifted their bodies and brains basically did a "Fuck you, I'm out".

They hate this (varying degrees) because after 5-10 minutes (or MORE), they didn't know what was going on. It's like a lapse in memory. I think Romance would be embarrassed about this the most.

Jinu does this rarely because...? I haven't figured that out yet, but it just rarely happens to him.

Maybe before they met y/n, Jinu would take care of them while they were checked out? Made sure they didn't wander off, fed them if they were mentally gone for longer periods, etc.

After they met y/n, they tried to take care of the boys with Jinu (assuming they are still demons while dating y/n). It was surely a strange thing to see the first time around because wtf do you mean their brains just freeze randomly?

The y/n thing doesn't have to do with your stories - it's just an idea I had. And wanted to share ;3. And yes ik there are some holes in this. I'll think about this HC a little bit more in the meantime.

There ARE a lot of fics that mention their human forms requiring magic/energy. 🤔 A reboot of their brains/magic isn't that far-fetched.

Jinu

- Literally thinks he is going to die

- Spends an entire week lying on the couch telling Romance his funeral arrangements

- Drags himself to the bathroom like a zombie crawling from its grave

- Lies on the floor as he groans dramatically, the other Boys just step over his body as if he doesn't exist

- Profusely denies being sick until he's incapacitated and has already spread his germs to the other Boys

Abby

- As he's puking: "Hold my hair." "Your hair is short. There is no hair to hold." "HOLD MY HAAAIIIRRR..."

- This poor man will be hugging the toilet absolutely sobbing about how he is actively dying, actually really dying

- Doesn't bother sleeping in his bed, sets up his blankets and pillows in the tub, has one of Baby's plushies in there for comfort

- "YOU DID THIS TO ME!" every time Jinu is within his line of sight.

- Appreciates when Mystery brings him tea to help his stomach and sits silently near the door to keep him company, even if it inevitably gets him sick too

Romance

- Rarely gets sick so when he does it's like the Apocalypse

- Extremely emotional, cries over everything - EVERYTHING

- Doesn't want any of the other Boys near him while he's sick, they do NOT listen

- The other Boys make sure to dote on him and make him feel beautiful, they paint his nails and style his hair when he's too weak or tired to do it himself

- Tries to ignore his own feelings of getting sick as he takes care of the other Boys and tries to convince them they are NOT in fact dying

Mystery

- His calm and silent presence is only interrupted by the sounds of him sniffling

- Tries not to complain but eventually breaks down, throwing himself into one of the other Boys arms as he contemplates the afterlife (it's very dramatic)

- "I'd sell my soul to Gwi-Ma a second time if it meant I could breathe through my nose again."

- Can usually be found curled up on the couch with his head in another Boy's lap as he naps, cuddles are non-negotiable even during the Plague

- "This is worse than the Plague." (he's really old)

Baby

- Baby is a baby, he needs his blankets and pillows and plushies

- Cries, like A LOT

- Do not mention anything about him crying or he WILL bite you like an infected zombie

- Wants to be held and rocked and sung to, but will deny it to his dying breath which he believes is imminent, will not put up a fight if someone does it

- Asks Abby to make him chicken soup, he loves Abby's chicken soup when he's sick, don't ask him about it

Without waiting for a response, she lunged forward, testing the opponent's reflexes with a quick feint.
