Tl;dr how you can personally make Neil Gaiman lose money (and not be a jerk to others.)
I see a lot of folks upset that NG will financially benefit from residuals and other compensation surrounding his involvement in the adaptation of Sandman and Good Omens (and he will.) But the answer isn’t “rage at the fans who are so emotionally attached to their blorbos because they grieve differently, and then somehow NG will be financially punished.” That’s lower-class/middle-class thinking. NG is too rich and financially diversified to really be hurt by little boycott or a couple of show cancellations (though said cancellations can cause life-changing poverty to the little guys who signed contracts and turned down other opportunities before all of this came out. Boy does NG love women in poverty 🤮)
So if you want to substantially reduce the wealth of someone at NG’s financial level—you need to do it with professional services fees.

How very depressing that Neil Gaiman had trended not even a tiny bit for demonstrating what a fucking horrific person he is.
As a reminder, he's suing Caroline Wallner, one of his accusers, for breaking her NDA. Not for libel. He's saying she shouldn't have told anyone about it, not that she lied.
The author says Wallner broke her NDA by sharing her story with the media, including with New York Magazine.
He doesn't need the money. He's risking the Streisand effect. He is punishing Caroline, he's trying to intimidate other victims who have signed NDAs to scare them into continued silence.
He is no friend to women, to the LGBTQIA+ community, to anyone quite frankly unless he thinks they are of value to him.
Share the story. Put it on Facebook and bluesky and whatever else you're on. Make it clear what a horrifying person he is. Tell your friends. He's paying Edendale a fortune to try and cover this up. Make this hard for him. Make it cost him money.
I’m not here to go «told you so» with regards to Gaiman as a person, because I genuinely assumed he was a decent guy and enjoyed some of his work before the allegations broke. But I will say that the parasocial relationship some people on this website had with him, always made me a bit concerned, and similar for other fans’ parasocial relationships with other celebrities. Originally my concern was that some fans seemed to forget that celebrities are human beings and strangers with boundaries and private lives they’d like to keep private. In light of the Gaiman allegations, there is another concern, that some fans may forget that celebrities are human beings who can be just as abusive and exploitative as any random stranger on the internet, but with more power to carry out abuse and get away with it due to their celebrity status. If any thing, this just highlights the importance of having healthy boundaries with people, including your favourite celebrities.
How the best-selling fantasy author Neil Gaiman hid the darkest parts of himself for decades.

Hi Tumblr void!
Anyone any input on using Good Omens for lessons in school? Or The Graveyard Book? Or Coraline? Which age group is best for those books? I'd love to read a Neil Gaiman book with my class but I feel like I need more input to make a case for it with my boss... Any experience or tips you like to share will be appreciated! 😊
Hi!
My teacher read us Coraline in 3rd grade. It went pretty well I'd say. We were all scared but that's the point of the book, right?
Crowley (drunk on a bar): sometimes I can’t believe myself. I mean, I slithered here from Eden just to what? Hide outside his damned door?
Hozier (taking notes): tell me more…
Crowley, after his 5th drink: and sometimes I just want to kiss him, like- like, you know, humans. Real humans. Like people. It that too much too ask?
Hozier, already filling his second note book: No, no, go on
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I MEANT!!!
Crowley, after his 10th drink: and it’s like, I fell for asking questions, and so you’d think, you’d think I could just ask him. but there are these questions I can’t ask, even now, at last, with the worst over. I just see the way he holds himself… and idk, maybe we should just run away. someday.
Hozier, on his fifth notebook, fighting back tears: UH HUH SURE
Aziraphale, trying to put into words what hes finally allowing himself to think after millenia of repression: of course itd be simply apalling to… to ever see him try to be a saint, of course, in the traditional sense of the word. but he does have these moments where… see, i have… i have been to every place on Earth and done so many things while on the job. and still i find no…. no love like his love, and the way he… the way he misbehaves, i see now it’s not just malice or nature, no…. and i simply couldn’t… feel this way for someone who didnt do those things…………..
hozier, scribbling furiously: oh yeah totally
hozier: *releases From Eden*
Crowley, breaking his door down: I TOLD YOU THAT IN CONFIDENCE YOU BITCH
Another day of finding you vintage queer references for your Good Omens fanart!!
Some ineffable wives content! If you draw it, let me know!!
I'm sorry if you're tired of thinking about ofmd and that whole mess but goddamn... it's incredibly painful to see so many people trying to set up fundraisers to get their families out of gaza and the sudan and desperately trying to get their loved ones to safety, I've seen so many and everyday I check to see how much progress they've made, most of them still haven't hit their goal. It hurts to see people rally around a tv show and raise all this money for a billboard, and it's very frustrating to see how people have reacted to this criticism. Like bro tv shows get canceled sometimes there's more important stuff going on
Someone else said it better but to see a fundraiser for tv show renewal advertisements raise $20,000 in less than a day while it takes days/weeks/months/years/never for fundraisers for actual causes that help real people in need reach a goal of less is absolutely dystopian and shameful
