— After meeting and marrying Angel’s mother, Rosa Maria (a pureblood witch), Dudley became estranged from his parents, who claimed he was an embarrassment and was tarnishing their reputation. Dudley then moved with his wife to Puebla, Mexico, where she had been living for the past decade. A year later Angel was born.
— Angel showed subtle signs of magic from a young age. He continually drew complicated patterns and shapes out of anything he could: spilled soup, crayons, his mother’s lipstick. When he was young these patterns didn’t do much but subtly glow on the occasion. Around the time he was ten, they seemed to grow in power. Occasionally doing things like cracking or turning the color of that which they were placed on.
— After his father died in early 2017 from a heart attack, Rosa Maria decided to move back to her birth place and her family in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. There, Angel lived in among small magical community with his mother and her family. In the same year Angel received three different acceptance letters: one to Hogwarts, one to Ilvermorny and one to Castelobruxo. He ultimately decided to attend Castelobruxo, where his mother went, and was sorted into Ararinha-Azul.
— Still scribbling symbols wherever he could, and never producing overwhelming effects with them, his Charms teacher realized he was a branch of Hemomancer that dealt with creating runes with potential strong magical effect when drawn in blood, particularly his own.
— Angel has never had reason to use his magical ability for anything violent or overly-dangerous. However, in defense and combative classes, he has learned to quickly draw blood from himself, and create runes generally to protect or project, resulting in many scars over his arms.
