My view of your face was alwayed marred
As i've always starred from behind these bars
a metal cage hung from a hook
i've never given you a proper look
What large claws you have, what piercing eyes
What sharp teeth that i pray tell me lies
Large of frame, monstrous and wide
The bars are too thin, I could never hide
yet when our gaze met, warmth I had felt
your large clawed hands cause me to melt
those teeth speak words only lovers could hear
those eyes so piercing were nothing to fear
I stare at you caged, as no one had dared
A muzzle so tight, you look so scared
Leashed to the wall ears tilted back
yet in my heart i knew, you'd never attack
Tonight we escape, i slip through the crack
you follow behind without turning back
The night air is crisp, are we truly free
I'll keep you safe, you can trust me
Though the world is unkind, not like your eyes
You stare at my talons, proof of demise
I stand before you scared, your claws sheathe
you stare at the viscera as you begin to seeth
I'm bloody and raw, i mirror your tone
I'm capable of killing is what you've been shown
your teeth are bared, its a horrifying sight
I fly away, for your bark is worse than your bite
