Oh, the marvelous Shizuka (RIP), a great band and she was also an amazing doll maker, hence the photos on this flier. She studied with doll master Amano Katan, and their apartment was decorated with her mesmerizing dolls. I was lucky enough to organize a few San Francisco shows for Shizuka and Miura Maki, with different bass/drum accompaniment over the years. These two shows, at Bears in Osaka and La Mama in Tokyo, were with Angel’in Heavy Syrup, certainly a match made in heaven.
